nancy, I guess that mis-inspection yesterday didn't detect this problem? :rotfl: I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with your truck! It sounds like it could be a fuse and that's an easy fix.

yesterday they only tested for the emissions (sp?) and nothing else. Denis just came by and wiggled a few things in there and it's working fine now, just had a loose cable I guess. So how did the pie come out?

Oh good!!! I am glad he was able to "fix" it! Hopefully, it won't happen again!

the pie LOOKS good, but we've not tried it yet. I'll save it for after dinner.

Hello all!!!
How is everyone today?????
That chilli recipe sounds great.....Kristin, could you send me a copy also???

Nancy, I might have to try that pie recipe...looks good!!!:p

Well it official Jenna has the CHICKEN POX!!! :scared1: :scared1:

She woke up with spots, heres hoping its mild and will be all cleared quickly!! We are keeping Jacob far away from her. Could this have come at a worse time!! Actually yes, it could have been the cruise!!!!!

oh no!!!!!! poor Jenna:sad1: hope she'll get over it quick enough so she can enjoy the trip!!!! I don't know what I would do if the boys got it! I've never had it when I was younger so I guess I would have to move out for a few weeks !!!!!!! :rotfl: wait a minute maybe that's a good thing:lmao:

Oh Gina!!! I am so sorry! I hope Jenna gets over it quickly! Lots of oatmeal baths and benedryl. (I'll have to ask Steve, or check with your pediatrician, but I THINK, you can't use Calamine Lotion and Benedryl at the same time? For some reason I remember it being an overdose of medicine.) ALSO, we got your chocolates today Gina! THANK YOU!! They are cute!

The Sugar Pie is SO good! I can really see myself making myself sick on it. Colton didn't like it, Connor hasn't tried it, yet.

Connor is going to have FOUR teeth pulled before we can start braces! His top middle teeth are okay, but the ones next to them are called peg teeth...very thin and narrow, like a peg. And the then teeth next to those, are still baby teeth, even though I insisted that he has already lost those baby teeth, the Dr assures me that those are his baby teeth and the adult teeth are waiting to come in. Soooo, once we pull those 4, 2 on either side of his front center teeth, then the adult tooth will come in and actually fill in most of that space. Then we'll start braces, and move all his upper teeth forward to fill in any space...which he said is not a lot...then reshape that tooth and the gumline to look like that tooth was meant to be there the whole time! It's amazing what they can do!

It IS amazing what they can do with braces these days! Kaj LOVES his orthodontist, (unlike me and mine back in the olden days! LOL!). The only thing he doesn't like is not getting to eat popcorn and nuts and such.. poor boy.

I am sorry that Jenna has CP... not fun! Hopefully it will be a fairly short course of it.. nothing like timing! And yes, it would have been worse if it were on the cruise! yikes!

That sugar pie sounds amazing... oh my goodness! I told Brian about it and he is more than willing for me to try it... have to buy some ingredients next time we go grocery shopping though.

Michele glad you liked the pie!!!!!! isn't sweet!!!! LOL

He doesn't go until March 18th to have the teeth pulled, then we have to wait a few months for the Adult teeth to fully rupture, so he won't go back to the ortho until May 13, then if everything is in place, we can start the braces. It just dawned on me....we are getting our passports made on March 28th, I think I'll have the photos done before Connor gets his teeth pulled. Otherwise, he'll have a passport for 5 years with these big gaping holes in his head! LOL Of course, I guess if he didn't smile, it would be okay, or kept his lips tight together!

Okay, Now I am thinking we should wait to do our passports until June...here's why... we are scheduled to have then done at the end of March. Connor turns 11 on May 15. His passport will expire in 5 years, because he's a minor. So this pp will expire March of 2013, when he's just 2 months shy of turning 16. That pp would only be good for 5 years. If we wait until AFTER he turns 11, then the next pp will last 10 years, instead of 5. Does that make sense? With Colton it doesn't matter because this pp will take him til he's 18.

OH MY GOSH Poor Jenna!!!!!!!!! Tell her Hanna and Hope are sending her some well wishes....!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Jenna!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope she does OK. Matthew had them right when he was turning 2, you should see the pics I have, yuck!

Good thinking on the passport timing, so it will expire when he's 16.

Our kids can have a braces support group on the cruise for kids that can't eat popcorn. That's Alexa's only gripe about braces, she used to live on popcorn.

he could still do a closed mouth smile in the picture! don't worry so much LOL :rotfl:

I made it with dark brown sugar too, which probably made it richer. It's VERY good, but you really can only eat a small piece at a time.

definatly small pieces at a time unless you want to be on a huge sugar rush LOL I've never tried it with dark brown sugar!

Dark brown sugar just has more molasses in it. So it's a little richer, sweeter and more flavorful then light brown sugar. it's all personal taste.

Oh no Gina!!!!

I really hope it's a mild case......and good thinking about keeping Jacob away from her!!!!

When Shannon had the chicken pox I was really careful about keeping Meagan away from her and she never got them.....so there's a good chance he won't either!!!!!

Here's some pixiedust: coming your way!!!! I hope she gets better quickly!!!
