I forgot....Nancy and Denis, you could look at renting a cabin at Wilderness Lodge. I have no idea how much they are or how they compare to DVC, but it's another option.

Morning All.

Hope,, everyone is well!!!!!!!!

We are doing fine! How are YOU feeling? Better, I hope.

Michele,

Hanna is fine this morning. Thanks, again.

I feel achy and am very very congested. I have a cough and hate to say it but whatever these kids and Bruce have had has finally gotten inside of me.. UGH!!! The banging in my house is driving me nuts. My head is killing me. Bruce, offered work from home this morning so he could get the kids ready for school but I felt bad so sent him to work. Which, was not very smart I'm sure. So, I think I will rest when they go to school... All I can say is I WANT SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only,, 226 days till we cruise.......!!!! Thanks, Don!!!!!!!!!;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Kristin, send the girls to school and go to bed. Set the alarm so you'll be up when the bus comes! Did you get the recipe from Allen? Can you send it to me?? THANKS!

Morning everyone!!!!!!! boy it is FREEZING this morning!!!!! As soon as I stepped outside this morning it felt like my eyes just froze LOL Then as I'm driving I'm trying to adjust the heat I notice NOTHING is working, no defrost, no heat nothing !!!!!!!!!! boy we were freezing, good thing I don't have to drive very far LOL I think it might be a fuse?

Anyway, here is THE SUGAR PIE recipe I promised to give you....
very easy to make, 2 cups brown sugar, 1 small can evaporated milk, 1 egg. Beat everything together in a bowl. Pour contents into a pie shell. add a teaspoon or 2 of butter over the mixture. Cook at 275 for 1 hour. Cool slightly before eating because it will stay hot inside for a while. Serve with ice cream and watch your kids go crazy when the sugar rush kicks in LOL:rotfl:

Nancy,

Oh gosh sorry to hear that about the heat.
Thanks, for the recipe I have a lot of good recipes now to make....!!!!!!!!

Kristin, I didn't get the recipe! Can you try again? I really want to try it today. AND I will make beer bread AND Sugar Pie for dessert! That should send Steve into a diabetic shock! Honestly, I am guessing he will have a bite and that's it.

As for other recipes...did I share my corned beef recipe? Since St Patty's Day is coming, this one is YUMMY!!! and so easy!

Take one corned beef....about 4 pounds....flat cut.
Take one cup of brown sugar and pack around corned beef, covering as much of the beef as you can with the brown sugar.
Take one bottle of Guiness Beer and SLOWLY drizzle the beer over the brown sugar being careful to not wash the sugar off the beef. (Use your thumb over the opening to drizzle the beer) then, Pour the rest of the beer around the beef. Cover with foil...or a lid.... and bake at 300 degrees for abour 3 hours. My boys LOVE this. I make it probably once every 2 weeks. It's become a staple in our house.

i then just boil potatoes and carrots together in another pot. You could boil cabbage with it, if your family likes that too!

Michele,

I sent it through the DIs. sometimes, I think those emails have trouble going through So I emailed it to you.. I forwareded Allen's email to me...

Bruce, will love the corn beef since Guiness is his fav. beer to drink..

You will have to let me know how the dinner comes out tonight.. I wish I was closer I would come to dinner...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin, THANK YOU! I got the recipe, I am just not sure if I have all the ingredients....I'll have to search my pantry. I know I have most of it, but I don't think I have the rotel or the ranch....I might have to wait to make it another day. I am still going to make chili though!
I have the sugar pie in the oven already! Since I had a 12oz can of evap milk, and I wasn't sure if that was the right size, since it said small can, I went ahead and added another egg...just to make sure it turns out thick enough.

Now to prepare the bread and see if I have the rest of the stuff for chili!!

I have never made corned beef before, but this sounds really good!!!!!!!!!!!

erika, I have found that either people like corned beef or they don't. I grew up on it and love it, and now my boys do too!

the sugar pie and bread are just about done and the chili is in the crockpot...although, it's not Allen's recipe. I didn't have everything. I'll add the ingredients to my shopping list and I'll make it next time!

the snow is STILL falling. I feel like I am in a snowglobe today! I only wish Mickey was in the globe with me, 'cuz that would mean I was a WDW and it woudn't be snowing at all!

Nancy,

Thanks, for the recipe I have a lot of good recipes now to make....!!!!!!!!

Denis is suppose to come home from lunch to check to see if he can fix it before I go out again to pick up Josh at school. I hope it's only a fuse and nothing serious :scared1:

I wonder if this could work with roast beef too? I'm not a big fan of corned beef (the texture) :)
