Morning all! Yes, most of the chocolate actually arrived in one piece. One of Kristins bunny's lost his ears (which went quickly into my mouth, I didn't want the other bunnys to see them in the bag it might be traumatic), but that was it.

What is the weather like for everyone right now? Our average temp is supposed to be 30, but right now it's -17, I just can't believe it's this cold this late in winter. It's nuts!!!

Has anyone seen this, my dad sent it (do not open if you are dog slobber phobic)...

I have not checked yet, but I suppose we should soon, huh? We will be a family of six then and I figured a van would be the most reasonable option. However, since we are at SSR before AND after the cruise, that would be a round trip booking for us. We will most likely look at Magical Express for the airport transfers on Thursday before the cruise and Sunday after the cruise. That way, we will not pay for transportation twice.

Partridge family comes to mind?!?!?! :lmao: :rotfl2: :hippie: :lmao: :rotfl2:

BTW, that number game is amazing!!!

I'll keep you posted. I'm looking into van options...I'll let you know what I find...!!!!!!

good morning everyone!!!
it is soooooooo COLD here today that I wish I could just hibernate until spring!

I am on my way to the baby Dr. and to see my Dad, but I will check some options as well and let you know...:)

Morning all!!

No work for me today as Andrew is sick, and I took my kids to the dr. Grandma gets to keep them today.

Colton is on the road to recovery, and in spite of a persistant cough, he will go back to school tomorrow. Connor was tested NEGATIVE for the flu, so the dr thinks he just has the start of another virus. He may also be starting to get what Andrew has...or his body might fight off whatever it is. He too, will go back to school tomorrow, if he doesn't get worse! They even convinced me to drive through Tudor's Biscuit World for breakfast!

I feel like I am in a snowglobe today! It started to snow about 630 this morning, but really didn't start accumalating until 9. We should get 3-4 inches by the time it's over.

I am glad the chocolates made it there okay. I was worried about the palm trees falling apart!

Today might be a good day to make more since they are home...bored...with NOTHING to do! LOL Maybe they can get a Wii game going......

I hope,, everyone gets better!!!!!!!!!!!

I got good news. I've been calling DCL every day to see if any cat 5 or cat 6s opened up and I got something better. A navigator's veranda was available, so I switched my cat 4 to the cat 7. That means more money for Konch Koolers! :cool1:

That, , is cool...CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Janet,

I,, called around and got some rates for transfers....!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I have to ask.. what is tudor's biscuit world? Never heard of it! We drove past some Waffle House restaurants, and learned about skyline chili while we were in Ohio/KY last year, but not heard of Tudor's. :)

gotta get the scoop so we can try new places when we drive out! Oh... we also learned about Steak and Shake... yum! Kaj can't wait to have another one of their split shakes...

Any other gotta try it places?

Sandy, Congrats on the Nav Verandah! That would be my first choice in rooms!!

Hiedi, here is the link.... http://www.tudorsbiscuits.com/ I tried to see if there was a link for locations, but I didn't see one. I guess there are only 50 locations. I think their food is really good! They have the best sweet tea in the area too! Do you have any idea what your route will be? Maybe I can help with the locations.

We are going with a rental car to move between the airport, hotel and port. For us, it's just easier. Then we can stop at a grocery store and get a case of water and anything else we might have forgot too. I usually pack a suitcase inside another and then use the empty one for the water. then on the way home, I have an extra case for souvies or dirty clothes!

Heidi, I forgot to ask too.....do you have the book "The Next Exit" It's invaluable when traveling! The boys love to look ahead and read off what is coming up and deciding where to stop. I have an older edition and will get a new one before our next big adventure....probably before we drive to Myrtle Beach, SC in June.

No chocolate in my mailbox again today. Either the postman is having a feast, or he's just pacing me so I don't eat them all at once!

We plan on driving to the Louisville area and hanging out there for a week, might also have a week up near Cincinatti, and then heading on out to Florida through Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia (I think thats the route!).

We have a GPS, so I typically just follow its directions... worth its weight in gold I tell you! I can ask it for food, tell it what kind or name of restaurant, and it can get me to the nearest one or one somewhere along my route. Also puts the name, address, and phone # of hotels on my route so I can just pick up the cell and reserve a room where I think I am going to stop. LOVE it! :) We ended up getting it when we were in Boston 2 yrs ago and DH got lost after dropping Sean and I off at the hospital there.. he had NO idea how to get back to pick us up and was lost for hours! Poor guy... Boston is NOT a good place to get lost in!

I will have to check out the Next Exit.. generally my boys are busy listening to radio shows (they love Adventures in Odyssey, Jonathon Park, or more recently they have had a great time listening to Speed GIbson, of the International secret police... thats an old time radio show from the 30's and 40's, but I have nearly 40 HOURS worth of the program on a CD MP3. Keeps ME nice and alert when driving too!)

Hi, All..

Michele,

Hope, the kids feel better!!!!!!!!!!
