I'm guessing we are doing pretty much nothing this weekend I think Jenna is pretty bored being couped up in the house. I was lucky enough on Wed. to get out and have a manicure/pedicure, haircut and highlights so I feel like a new woman!! I did Jenna's nails so she had a ped/manicure too, she loves that.

that's too bad you guys can't get out this weekend, maybe do a movie night with them? we do that alot with the boys and they love it...they call it a pj and movie night LOL

I feel like all I have been doing these days is eating and not well, either. I know that I will be eating too much in FL, I cannot wait to get back to eating right and working out. I need to start as soon as we get back for the cruise lol.

Movie night or games night is a weekend staple at our house too. The kidlets love it, especially the chips.

Just saw this posted, BLOCK PARTY BASH OFFICIALLY

BEGINS MARCH 14, 2008

The Stars and Motor Cars Parade is being replaced by the "Block Party Bash" featuring Pixar characters, acrobats, trampolines and retro tunes. This parade was featured at Disney's California Adventure Theme Park and is being moved to Florida.

The Stars and Cars Motor Cars Parade ends on March 8. From March 9th until the official start date of March 14, "Block Party Bash" will be in 'soft opening' which means there's a possibility that the parade will not be scheduled that day.

We will be at DHS on the 14th, heres hoping that they do it that day!!!!

We have ADR's at Teppen Edo, Yak and Yeti, Captains Grille, Whispering Canyon, Tutto Italia. We are oing to the PPP on March 11 and Jenna is doing the BBB at the Castle. We also have high tea ADRs at the GF, I am going to order her the glass slipper dessert as a surprise. Alec and Jake are going to the launch and they are seeing the Blue Jays as well. We are going to each park and a water park, now of course all these plans are dependent on the kidlets and how they are feeling, thankfully everything can be cancelled and we can just chill out by the pool in our villa. The other nights we will go to local restaurants or eat at the villa. The last few days we are at SSR. I can't wait!!!!

Wow Gina! You have a great trip planned! I hope the kids will be okay and will be able to enjoy it!

Not much to report here. The infant was in rare form today. From 6am until 330, she slept MAYBE 1.5 hours. She's only 4 months old. My kids slept a heck of a lot more then she does! heck, her 5 year old sister slept on the couch for about 2.5 hours....and she nearly NEVER sleeps! It just made for a more difficult day, yanno? Not routine and she was sort of fussy....I felt like I had to entertain her whenever she was awake. If I left her sight, she would start to cry. Which is sweet and a pain at the same time! ANYHOW, IT'S FRIDAY!!

I am thinking Chinese for dinner, Connor is thinking McDonalds, Colton could careless..... Maybe we'll do both!

I certainly remember a demanding baby, Jenna had to be with me at all times or she would cry, she is so easy going now though which I am thankful for. I know when your routine is changed it does mess up the day.

Teppen Edo is the old Teppenaki, Alec and I ate there just the two of us on our Anniversary trip and loved it so we are going to take the kids. Its when they cook the food right in front of you. The food is sooooooooo good.

My mom and I had high tea at the GF at the scones and devonshire cream was heavenly, Jenna went to the Alice tea party, so I thought this time I would take her. She loves "tea parties".

We decided on just Chinese...well, I decided. It's raining and cold and I don't want to go out to McD's...King Chef will deliver!

A new parade will be nice! Now that's another reason for us to choose DHS instead of MK, but I am still leaning towards MK, even though DHS has more new stuff! With just one day, it's hard to choose!

Kristin, here are the recipes for the webpage

Beer Bread
3 Cups SELF RISING Flour
1 Cup white sugar
1 12oz can of beer, your choice
3 tablespoons melted butter

Mix flour, sugar and beer in bowl until just combined. Put batter into greased loaf pan. Pour melted butter on top. Bake at 350 for about 45 mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.


Corned Beef
1 flat cut corned beef...about 4#
1 Cup brown sugar
1 bottle Guiness Beer

Remove corned beef from package. Rinse and pat dry. Take brown sugar and coat the corned beef with it. Cover as much of the beef as you can, top, bottom and sides. Place in greased pan. (I use an 8x8) Open beer and SLOWLY drizzle the beer over the beef, being careful not to displace the sugar. Placing your thumb over the opening helps to slow down the pour. Once the sugar is saturated, pour the rest of the beer around the beef, cover and bake at 300 for about 3 hours.

On March 9th, I will have been with this family for one year. Seems hard to believe. I know I am overly attached and can't imagine my life without them in it. I was thinking the other day, this must be what it feels like to have adopted. I never thought I could love these kids this much! Especially Andrew. Maybe it's because he's a boy, maybe it's because he reminds me of my own boys, I don't know, but he holds my heart strings, that's for sure! But I have to admit too, that it's nice to not have to get up at 3 am to feed the baby and I do get the weekends with my "big kids". It is easier! But I do love those sticky kisses and big hugs and snuggling with the baby while she takes her bottle.

It goes perfect with Chili! My favorite pieces are the ends and then the pieces that fall off the top!

the lady I sit for gave me another recipe to try...make the beer bread, but then add chopped pepperoni and shredded cheese, then bake! It makes a pizza bread!
