Afternoon Kiddies

Finally finished tax free weekend at Target. Can i just say that whoever came up with that idea oughta be shot?

OMG these ppl are crazy. Its worse than Christmas, cause its only 3 days. And the ppl who come in on Sunday for the new BTS slae items aren't happy to find out that the item sold out Saturday. Well that's what happens when its tax free. Cause in some cases the tax free is better that on sale.

Anyhow, I need somebody to keep me company tonight, cause we got home from grocery shopping after work and Rich gets a call to go help a firend in Hampton as he watches his girlfriend mopve out of the house or something

Rich didn't think it would take very long but he just called and said he won't be home till 9:30-10. Bother.

So i'll be around.

OK, so my original plans for this evening was to watch Apollo13 DVDtv on AMC. Its always more fun watching with Rich though. Wish I had a laptop.

Hi!
I wanted to know if it's too late to join in the party you guys are having....
You all seem like some really fun people to share a cruise with.

We will be on this Eastern Cruise (our first Eastern Cruise). We have been on 2 other cruises as a family - one 4 day in 2004 and one 7 day Western in 2007. My husband and I took a 4 day cruise this last February -yes! just the two of us on a Disney Cruise
I have been an occassional "lurker" on the boards for about a year...spending LOTS of time reading and learning before each of our cruises.
This time I decided I would like to actually participate in the excitement before we actually see the ship.
My children are excited to be going on another 7 day cruise....the four day cruise was WAAAAAY too short. I have a DS who is 11 and starting middle school in a week and a half. And I have twin DDs who are 9 and will be in 4th grade this year.
Although I have read a lot on the boards and know a lot of the things that are popular for DIS members to do on cruises (door signs, fish extenders, meeting each other before the sail away party...) I have never done any of these. If it's possible, is there a list of people who have "plugged in" to this Cruise Meet thread? and if so can we be listed on it. I'd love to be able to visit prior to our trip.....I only hope I can keep everyone straight in the who's who list
I have posted one earlier reply to someone's question about an excursion we did on the Western last year. I'm not extremely computer savy and hope I can learn as I go....I enjoy all the clip art stuff although not sure how to do it.

Hey everyone...

Maureen- Sorry to hear that DH is working late helping out a friend. We are doing our nightly rituals of being at DMIL'S house to eat dinner...Hubby is grilling some steaks that I marinated in some Fajita marinade sauce YUMMY!! LOL about the tax free weekend...Im with youm, they should be shot! I forgot that it was tax free and we just got home from the mall (went to paint ceramics with DS while DH and my Dad went to see "Mummy" movie) well I forgot about tax free and after we painted we went to walk thru the mall (mostly to the Disney Store) and boy was it packed and a pain to get around!! And the people are so RUDE and obnoxious!

Gail- I am so glad that you and Merkie are doing so much better...YUMM I like Mexican food as well...bet that was nice I have to admit that I have DS as well that I like to play when I get the free time. (usually in the bed at night LOL) those games are addicting but they are nice to play when you need something to do to keep entertained.

Hey Kristin- How are you doing? Whatcha having for dinner Anything good....Lobster? Im thinking that Im really wanting some good crab legs now though

Some good news...My Lovely son has really done great in his potty training!! He is going pee only in the potty now Even when we are out and about he always lets me know that he has to go....and goes. Oh those hotwheels cars have done great for me Now the next step is getting him to go poop on the potty...but I guess we have to take it one step at a time. I am just so proud because he only has started this last week...and hasnt peed in his pull up yet (except rarely at night...but most of the time he will wake up and let me know he has to go). Im so proud My little guy is growing up too fast!! But the cutest part is that he knows that he can not going in the pool on the cruise if he isnt potty trained (something I did tell him to push him into training) and so now after he goes to potty he immediately says "Im a big boy now...I can go on the Disney boat and in the Disney pool??!!" Its so cute!

Hey Lyndee It will be nice having you join us. I know a few families on this cruise are cruising with twins I dont have twins but they do run in my family I dont have the website with the info on all of the cruisers here where I am at (MIL'S House) but maybe someone else who is posting can provide you with the details on the link and such. We look forward to meeting you on the cruise!!

I will be around, sort of! Have to pack up Sean's gear for Cub scout (webelos) camp the next few days... which means Brian and Sean will be gone and I get some one on one with my sweet almost 14 yr old! Poor kid... ROFL! HE leaves for drama camp in Montana next Sunday, for 2 whole weeks! Lucky kid... apparently broadway type directors come in to work with the kids at camp! WAY cool!

Sleeping beauty was marvelous... the kids did a GREAT JOB, and the directors were amazing. Truly, they all had a blast, more so than any other show we have done (this was our 4th).

I have been having SO much fun with the FE gifts... ROFL! We have all gotten involved in coming up with ideas.... giggle!

So now to play catch up and see what you all have been up to lately... unless Michele wants to give me the easy outline version! LOL!

Oh I love that movie! but yes, it IS more fun watching movies like that with DH (or Kaj... he wants to be an astronaut so he REALLY gets into it! LOL!)

Welcome aboard Lyndee! I have 2 boys (11 & 14) on the cruise, so I am sure it will be a wild time! LOL! This is our 2nd cruise, first was a 4 day in May of last year, not nearly long enough. Someday we are hoping to maybe do a panama canal or med, but probably without boy children! (THAT could take a while, since the 11 yr old has interesting health issues that keep us very busy! LOL!)

Add me to the list of NASCAR fans here I kinda have to be interested...My FIL works for Nascar He does the phone lines...he is out right now traveling to do just that...he always calls us to let us hear the cars racing or to tell us who all is standing RIGHT NEXT TO HIM My personal favorite of course is Michael Waltrip He seems so sincere and sweet.

Even Rally is semi-obsessed these days with NASCAR. Turn a race on and he won't let you turn it off.
And I hope your FIL at least has the decency to ask the person standing next to him if they'd like to say hi to his family. I'm jealous. I'd love to travel with NASCAR. And Mikee is just aces in our house. We love him.
