I am good for shoes...just got 2 new pairs of sneeks at the beach. I have plantar faciitis, so I am pretty much stuck in tennies if I am walking alot. I do pretty good in Berkenstocks too. I do need a new pair of those. I had intended to get a pair at the outlets at the beach, but decided I could get them cheaper through QVC, The outlets were no deals.

My Birks are so worn out right now, I am embaressed to wear them! I would love to get 2 new pairs, a triple strap in a tan/biege and a thong in a bright/summery type color. I have a store near by, and since I have looked at QVC prices, I think I might have to make a trip to the store!

Yeah I like the lighter color better myself. and no laces is a plus. Rich and I aren't actually signing up for any tours, so we'd just be walking aorund hte islands on our own, but these'd be good I think.

I wish I could get Steve to try Birks. He is not much of a sandle-man. He'd rather have on tennies. Maybe I'll take him to the store with me and let him try. The problem he has is the Good Lord gave him size 13 super-d-duper wide feet.....so he has a hard time finding shoes to fit!

Welcome Bill and family!!!!! I am glad you came out of lurker mode!!

Nancy, we are pretty much up for anything. My main reasons for booking Bernard were the fact that we got a tour of the whole island, seeing the main highlights, and of course, Maho beach. I would like a stop at the beach too. It's just too pretty to pass up!! Maybe we could ask for a beach break around lunch time...like he has in his regular agenda? Let us know what you come up with!

The 4 wheelers are just standard size big enough for my wife and I to double on. The roads are easy to navigate, the main road makes a loop around the island so it's really easy. It was just 70.00 to rent.

that would be a blast, but I bet they wouldn't let kids on though? although Josh and Kevin are VERY familiar with them and have ridden on them alot with us driving of course!! LOL

Packing Question for the ladies

How are yall transporting your jewelry, specifically necklaces, to the ship. Is there something specific you do to keep the chains from getting tangled?

here's what I got....each compartement twists off to open. I found mine at the dollar store. I have seen them at walmart too.

I wouldn't have any sandals until Mary talked me into trying some Birkenstocks, now I have 3 pair. I have 2 pair of the water proof birki's and love'em!! I would love to have a pair of their hiking boots, just don't wanna put out the $200+ for them!!
We are having our late afternoon break. Rest a while and shower for dinner. Might go to the Peddler or the Park Grill for dinner....not sure yet....

I bought Brian a pair for his birthday a couple of years ago. He had been refusing for years before that, and I decided he had no choice but to have a pair staring at him in the closet making him feel guilty for not wearing them. LOL! Now he loves them... (of course he IS a strange bird, as he insists on wearing SOCKS with them! LOL!). Thats ok, I love him anyway.

Well, Allen, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that those to places were operated by the same company! The menus look very much alike and the cost is about the same! We are having steak tonight too, but cooked on my grill, by me, with sides fixed by me. I like your idea better!! ENJOY!!!!!

They are!! But at the Peddler, they bring the slab of meat to the table and cut it right there. You get to tell them how thick.....DANGEROUS!!!!!
