Oh... a couple of years ago Sonic had this shake that was to die for... fudge brownie blast. I could live on those... and probably gain more than a few pounds. Since they stopped having them I stopped going to Sonic. LOL!

Good afternoon!

I'm back at the cabin for a few days and am happily playing on my Mac! The weather is really volatile today and we are under a tornado watch at the lake so I'm hanging around inside with the AC on!

CRUISE COMMENT/QUESTION

I was putting things on my Wish List in anticipation of making ressies tomorrow night and noticed the Banana Boats are not listed at CC. I seem to remember reading that they were off the excursion list for awhile. Anyone know if they might come back?? I may ask on the main cruise thread. My kids will be so bummed...

Good Evening Everyone!

Had another easy day today! The parents were home by 1230! Took the boys to GameStop and did my Walmarting! Tonight, it's hamburgers and tatertots! Keepin' it simple!! Oh, and an apple pie for dessert!

Steve told me to pay off the cruise tonight! YAY!! I didn't realize that we had different pay off dates. I just assumed, since we are all on the same ship, that we would all have the same pay off date!

Sonic...been there a couple times....LOVE the onion rings. Matter of fact, Colton got Onion Rings at IHOP last night and asked if I could drive through Sonic to get some from there as we left! I don't think so! LOL As for the commercials, I LOVE them and usually find them hysterical!

Maureen, sorry you aren't feeling well! I can sort of sympathize with you! Sleeping with the windows open every night has left me sinusy and yucky feeling in the morning!! Also, I am wearing the same dress for formal and semi-formal dinners. Can't pack everything, so one dress it will be!

A/C...I talked to the Home Warrenty Co....they are REPLACING the old unit with a new one!!!!!! YAY US! My patience is paying off! the downside, it might be Tues or Weds before we get it! I actually looked at a window unit at walmart today for $89. The boys said I was crazy and to just sleep downstairs...I just said, it's cheaper then getting a hotel room! I do wonder though...if I called the hotel and told them that my unit was out, would they give me a special rate? It might be fun...the boys could go swimming...... hhmmmm......

Off to fire up the grill!!

Thats amazing. I am just on the other end of the valley and we got nothin'. OK, I got sprinkled on a little while I was watching the boys soccer practice, but that was it. I love watching those great storms! Did you get some of that beautiful lightening as well?

It was bad over here. We lost two Palm trees to the wind. Portions of the backyard are still flooded. Oh, and the level of the water in the pool is almost to the top - close to spilling out into the yard.

Most travel insurance companies want you to buy it within a week or two of making the deposit! There are a few who will do it as long as you buy it before paying off the cruise though... of course in our situation we always need to be sure we have pre-existing medical coverage.

Sorry about the storms... shudder.. that is my one big fear when driving out of our safety zone here in Idaho... what DO you do if you see a tornado when you are driving???

Yes, we get ours to cover air and hotel in addition to cruise. We bought ours this week. It was only 88 bucks for the 4 of us from our TA.

we were thinking of booking a private tour to take us somewhere else like Divi beach! not far from the ship dock. I think it will be cheaper if we book more people on this private tour too if anyone is interested in going to the same places? We have young kids with us so the things we will do will be child friendly!

Let me know if you decide to do that. Right now we are booked with Bernards. I thought of just taking a taxi to Dive Beach but thought I'd like the full "tour" of the whole island (dutch and french) and the stop at Maho Beach esp. I am pretty sure he'll drop us as at Le Galion. It is right next to Orient Beach and great for little ones. Here are the links I found...

Ours boys will be 4 and 6!!!
I think I like this beach better than Divi beach!!!!!! wow it's beautiful!!
I still have not heard back from Bernard yet on the cost of private tours but will let you know ASAP!!

I did book with Godfrey last night....so that's done we booked the Tour #2 with one hour shopping!!

All better. We didn't get it too bad, the wind was very loud. It's pitch black just to the west of us where it has moved on. It's ugly, but at least it was a short storm. The sun is coming out on one side of the house now.

Our insurance we're being quoted is $242 for 4 of us ,that's a Cat 6 a Cat 11 and $1200 worth of airfare.
