Good Evening all!!!!

It has been a long week at work. I've had a few late days and even with the boys gone, it's just been a long week!!

The boys are on thier way home! Should be here about 615-630. The house will be quiet no more!

WELCOME SYDNEY and FAMILY!! WOW!! TWO sets of twins!!! How exciting!!! When I first read your screen name...doubletrouble...I thought, uh oh, here comes trouble! LOL But then I read on that you were expecting twins, so I thought, cute name!! THEN I read you were expecting your second set of twins!! WOW!! You go girl!!!! I don't know much about caring for twins, but the lady I sit for has 4 kids....and with my 2, I have what I call "My 6 Pack". Anyway, WELCOME aboard!!!!

Kristin, I have a few questions for you!! Will you be home this evening so I can call you?

When and where are we going on Vacation??? Vero Beach, next August? Have to go before school starts!! The only thing that might hold us back is if Connor decides to play football again next year. All our vacations would have tbe complete by the end of July.

McDonalds had started thier McCafe line. I had a coupon, so I got a McCafe Mocha, hot. This stuff is SWILL!!! Thank goodness I had a coupon! It's bitter and I didn't get any whip cream or chocolate shavings. Now, I understand, it was 4 in the afternoon, but come on!!! Fresh coffee all day and make it right! I'm sticking to Tim's for my specialty coffees!

Hope it is okay for me to post here, have been lurking for a few weeks now. We are booked for this cruise and wanted to say hello. You are all a busy group it seems, not sure how active I will be as I will be 5 months pregnant with twins at the time of the cruise. We are looking forward to a little R&R and lots of fun for our children too. Hope to get to know all of you better.

Sydney
:welcome: Aboard!! Jump right in and join the fun!!

Hey Michele, Headed out in about fifteen minutes for dinner and drinks with two girlfriends. Call me if you can if not I can send you my cell phone!!!!!!!

Let me get this straight. Brian is the only one with the expertise to handle a problem, but they would fire him if the problem arose? And what happens if it does and they do? Who handles it then? Sounds like the bosses have a mismanagement issue if they never though of training a back up for such a critical person.

And what are they going to do if the problem can't be resolved over the phone? Send the Coast Guard?
You sure have a way with words...

OK, book question for y'all

I really need a new book to read. And I'm having trouble finding 1 I like. Wanna order from Amazon cause I got a big gift card i can use there(change at the coinstar).

So I'm looking for suggestions.

Last book I read was by Nicholas? A bend in the road it was called. Good, but not great. I usually go for thriller's/mystery type books. Strange is just fine. Action packed is very good too.

My favorite book series is IN Death by JD Robb/Nora Roberts. Somebody please help nme find a book. Reading the ones I already own is getting old:lmao:

the boys are back!
The boys are back!
The boys are back in town!
Yeah! The boys are back in town!!

Now that I have that song stuck in your head! LOL

I guess I better get to the laundry! LOL Is this what it'll be like when they come home from college? Just on a smaller scale! :rotfl:

I just finished a book called Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. I have to tell you, this book is ENGULFING. I could not put it down! Matter of fact, when I got to the last page, I didn't want it to end!! I just found out that there is a sort of sequal to the book called World Without End. Pillars is set in the years of the 1100...midevil...World is set in the 1300, but the characters are suppose to be the offspring of the ones in Pillars. I just got World from my friend last night, so I am eager to get started on it! They are both HUGE books...over 900 pages each, but I am telling you, you will not be bored with it. It was Oprah's book of the month before Christmas. That's an idea too...go to oprah.com and check out the books that she recommends! If you do a search on Pillars, there is an entire synopsis of the story....I remember telling Nancy about it awhile ago...I just don't remember where I saw it? Maybe it was Amazon?? If I didn't have Pillars on loan...and with a waiting list...I would have gladly sent it to you!

Ok, running a search on Amazon for it now. 900 pages doesn't bother me at all. Love huge books. Sorely missing not having any new Harry Potter books to look forward to.

I sent it with my friend on her 2 week vacation to San Diego. Now mind you, they were on vacation...WDL, Sea World, Lego Land, etc, and she FINISHED the book in that 2 weeks! When she called me, she said, "I don't know whether to be mad at your or happy with you!" I said, "why?" She started laughing, "I am on vacation and I can't find enough time to read this book! I'm staying up too late, and reading it in the laundry mat! I only wish I was able to read in the car!" LOL She finished it before they got back. Now her DH is reading it and then the neighbor is going to read it. The neighbor actually read World Without End first, not knowing there was a prequal to it. He is loaning me World, ane he'll read my Pillars. Colton is wanting to read it, because I have gone on and on about it, but there are a few very visual scenes that are not 13 year old appropriate. I think I'll wait a few years, and then he can read it. He has read all the HP series. I have not read a one of them, but that does not interest me. I've seen some of the movies, but that's about it.

I LOVE the HP books!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I too am very sad that they are done. I sobbed several times reading the last one. The last 2 of those I had a really hard time putting down at night.

I don't know if you like regular Nora Roberts, but she just released a new hardcover. I have it sitting here next to me, but I haven't read the last 2 or 3 she released LOL. I have re-read a couple of the older ones, but I have been too busy DIS'ing, working or reading all these darn free magazines I get to read my books.

Oddly enough regular Nora Roberts books run hot and cold for me. Which is why I am still surprised that I'm into IN Death soo much that Eve Dallas is an addiction for me.

My favorite Nora Roberts books is Three Fates which I read while I was engaged. It was seriously the only thing I could read that helped me to sleep at the time cause there was so much going on wth the wedding. I read it over and over for like 3-4 months straight.

But I've seen blurbs for her newest and I have no desire to read it. Been that way for the past few of her books now.

So how's everybody tonight?

I'm on my day off tmorrow so i get to chat tonight.
