No this is a different mission entirely. The mission we would have seen is pushed back until next year sometime.

Did you decide if you were changing dates for the shopping trip to P-Forge & G-burg??

Hi Allen! Yes we did. Well actually we decided to go to Johnson City, TN shopping on the 6th and we are going to wait until after the Christmas season to go to Pigeon Forge. We were going with a group of ladies from the church and we were going to shop and go to the Miracle Theater. The group decided to put the trip off.

we saw the shuttle launch in June '07. we ate at Whispering Canyon, then walked out to the beach at WL and watched from there. Way cool!!

Gail, we have had the same weather here. It has started to drizzle. They say we should get the storms too later tonight with snow tomorrow afternoon!! Glad I got my heat fixed!!!

You make me glad I live here. Though we have had freaky weather in the past. I remember the first yr I was working a Target. Day after Christmas was a real winner. Showed up for work at 6am and it was near 70. Couple hours later it was windy and you see rain. Bout a half hour after that it was even more windy and SNOWING!! It was unreal. If we'd had a hurricane that day it wouldn't have surprised me. We wound up with a couple of inches i think.

Anyhow, no freaky weather here this weekend, just gray gloom and rain hanging in too good for me. I want the sunshine back.

College ball is the best.

Hi Maureen! I do love basketball, but I actually follow the local high school basketball more than I do the college teams. Knott County Central is our local high school and is about 1/2 mile from the house. The parents of most of the players are good friends of mine. I have practically raised half the team. We have traveled (even to other states) to watch these kids play since they were second and third graders. There has to be something major going on me to miss one of their games. They have been invited to play in a tournament at Rupp Arena (for those who don't follow college basketball: that's were the University of Kentucky Wildcats play) on December 26-31 this year and I have taken those days off and will be there with them for every game.

The problem is that the boys that I am so close to are now juniors and seniors. We only have a two years left and they will graduate on us. I am hoping that some of them play for colleges close enough for us to make some games.

I'm glad you got the heat fixed to. I think our rain is moving your way. Can you believe that the temperatures are really going to drop enough to turn this to snow?

Oh boy, haven't followed HS Basketball since i was IN HS. Don't follow college ball as much as I'd like to either but i try and keep up with the standings.

She is correct. Endeavor is the shuttle that was to be the rescue shuttle, if needed, for the Hubble mission. When that mission was postponed, Endeavor was brought back and readied for this mission which it was scheduled for anyway.... Did I confuse everyone?!?!?!
