Hello! I will tell Merkie that you wished her a Happy Birthday.

We had yet another change in plans. After Emily got sick this morning, Merkie decided not to go to the sleepover. At school today, another friend decided she would go, so Merkie changed her mind again. I just dropped both of them off and I will be there tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. to pick them up. A friend of mine call and said that they have two extra tickets for the University of Kentucky Lady Cats basketball game at Rupp Arena in Lexington tomorrow at 2:00 so we are coming straight home to let her shower and then making the two hour trip to Lexington to watch the game. Then coming the long way back home so that we can stop in Corbin, KY to watch our local high school boys basketball team play their first game of the season. (Can you tell that we are huge basketball fans?) We won't make it home until 11:00 p.m. or later tomorrow night. She will be absolutely exhausted, but it's what she wanted to do for her birthday.

wow you will certainly be very busy driving around but I'm sure you will have a wonderful time!!!!!!!!!!!! have fun!!!!

Maureen, anything and everything we have bought that carries the Leap Frog, Leapster name has been money well spent. Whoever invented this line of toys was a genius!! I do not hesitate to buy any of thier products!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MERKIE!!!

See you all after work!!

Michelle....I will pass the Happy Birthday on to Merkie in the morning.

I agree with you on the Leap Frog/Leapster comments. Merkie has had many of their products and we loved them all. She lived with that Leapster in her hand until she out grew all the games or what ever you call them. I credit the Leap Pad for teaching her to read. She just took off with that thing and taught herself to read. She was way ahead of most of her class, and God knows it wasn't because I had a lot of free time to work with her on it.

thanks Kristin!!!! I hope to have this resolved SOON!!

Keep me posted.

Off to take the kids to a b-day party from 6-8 tonight....They are all excited. Taking my neighbor and another little girl home from the party. Be back later on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh I better start making dinner......be back in a bit!!!

she made it VERY clear to the moms that she doesn not want any volunteers in her classroom!!!!!!! I would LOVE to and would do it in a heartbeat but she doesn't want anyone in there.
one more thing to add to the list to ask the principle about when we go see him!! thanks for reminding me LOL

I know that every school district is different, but parents can't be denied access to the classrooms here unless they are being disruptive while in there. Your school district should have a written policy manual that is available to all parents. Get a copy and if it says you have the right to visit the classroom, she will not be allowed to keep you out. I have absolutely no idea what the law in Canada is, but Kentucky law allows parents who are not satisfied with the final decisions of the principal to present their complaints to the local school board. If you are not satisfied with that decision, you can file a complaint with the Kentucky State Board of Education. At least here, you do get action from them. I have assisted two different families in filing complaints with the SBofE (but you don't need an attorney to do it) and we were successful in getting what we asked for in both cases. One involved a teacher being to aggressive with a special needs child (she is Down Syndrome) and the teacher was fired. I don't know how serious your situation is . The child was actually bruise during one incident in our case. If you situation is serious enough, it's worth you looking in to it.

I'm off to spend the evening with friends. I hope everyone has a great evening and weekend!!!!!!!!

thanks Gail,
fortunatly our situation is not as bad as you described!!
I never had any problems when Josh was in that grade, I would sometimes show up earlier just to watch what was going on in class and always was welcomed by the teacher. So this is strictly from the teacher who doesn't want us there this time.

Allen has deserted us I think. So we're on our own
I HAVE NOT!!!!!
You won't get rid of me that easy!!!! I was just going to post TGIF!!! It has been a wild last week or so at work. Almost as busy as when we had 4 or 5 assembly lines running. I have been trying to keep up, but just didn't have time to post much. I'm Baaack!!!!

Allen will have to get us a good bus
Just pick one out.... :rotfl2: www.buscentral.com I go by this place almost every day going to & from work.

I'm off to spend the evening with friends. I hope everyone has a great evening and weekend!!!!!!!!
Did you decide if you were changing dates for the shopping trip to P-Forge & G-burg??

I am here, but I could fall asleep!!!

Just made us a 'sign' for the front of the folder in which we will keep all the paperwork for our upcoming trip!! I'll tell Steve, it's official, we have a folder! LOL

otherwise, just surfin' the net!

Nah, you didn't send me away!! I am here! Just surfin'! :surfweb:

Oh! I forgot I bought me some Chi Latte mix! I'll have to make me one!

Just trying to find stuff on HHI. I know SO much about WDW, that planning that trip is so easy. I know NOTHING about HHI, and I am finding it very hard to find info on it! I did find one message board, and they have sent me in the right direction, but it's just not The Dis.

Hi kiddies:wave:

Lets hear it for the 3 day weekend.

Wish I could have 1 of these every week. But i settle for 2 a month:rotfl:

Michele and Gail:

Thanks for the Leapfrog review. I will be picking this up for my neice Ashley for Christmas. Now I have to decide when she gets the stuff I bought er from the cruise:rotfl:

Glad Merkie decided to go to the sleepover. YOu'll have an awesome time at the game. College ball is the best.

Rich is tired so he just headed to bed. Bet he gets up in a few hours for a bit. Always seems that way.

WELCOME BACK ALLEN!!

I told Nancy you were busy. Come holiday season it'll probably be me who dissappears. We'll see how hard the store gets this year.

Hey, all the kids are jumped out from the party. They are bathed and in bed... I sure hope they sleep in tomorrow morning...How is everyone tonight????!!!!
