Got a question for anyone who knows something about driving in Florida.... normally I just do what my GPS tells me to do, but I honestly am hating driving down 75. I was thinking it might be more fun to go out to the coast at Jacksonville and drive down that way... any problems that I should be aware of? It looks like it might take maybe an extra 20-30 minutes, but that is minor in the grand scheme of things... and what fun to be able to see the Atlantic Ocean, at least a little bit maybe as we drive south! Any thoughts anyone???? We leave here early in the morning!!!!!!! (an hour south of Atlanta....)

Heidi- I am sorry that I cannot help you too much with that area. I wish I could but We have not been from that way in a long time. Last time I traveled from up north down I was a little kid. umm I wish I could be of more help but at the stage I am at now, I am only really familiar with the Immediate area around me and the roads I normally travel from my moms to Miami....or Miami to Orlando or such. Sorry

They ask if he had any weapons and he truthfully answered yes. In Tennessee ans several other states, we can get a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Some states have reciprocal agreements that allow permit holders from other states to carry in their state. He drove to Detroit and had the gun under his seat and actually forgot about it until they asked about it. And the 3 hour interrogation began!! Less than an hour in Canada, but over 2 hours in the US. Turns out, there was a robbery the day before at a drug store in Detroit, and he partially matched the description of the suspect!!!! Remind me, and I'll tell you about it. It really is funny...now!!

You can drive down A1A!! It is the coast road all the way to Key West!! It would be a neat drive. If you think 75 is bad, try 95!!! I'm going to check my mapping program...BRB

Heidi- I mentioned to Gail and I will let you know as well : If you arrive at the Olive Garden, I am hoping to have the RSVP and it will be in My name SHAUNA SIDNAM and I will be wearing a black shirt with blue jeans...I will have my son Chris (3) and my mom (shorter than me...) and sister Jenny (also shorter than me) with us...should be easy to find...Look for the little blonde haired blue eyed boy playing CARS or toys or something (talking non stop)

Thats ok, it was worth asking! I think I will try it... I nearly got into several wrecks today from people tailgating, changing lanes at the last second, etc... and with my precious cargo combined with oxygen on board, I think I would like a little more care! So to the coast I think we will go unless I hear a good reason not to! Maybe we can find a nice beach to have a lunch picnic at and find a sea shell or two. LOL!

I nearly got into several wrecks today from people tailgating, changing lanes at the last second, etc... and with my precious cargo combined with oxygen on board, I think I would like a little more care! So to the coast I think we will go unless I hear a good reason not to! Maybe we can find a nice beach to have a lunch picnic at and find a sea shell or two. LOL!

Yea Driving in Florida is getting CRAZY!! It used to only be bad in Miami but its getting just as bad everywhere I am wishing you a safe and uneventful journey on your way here Im sure you can find a nice beach to relax at...take your time and enjoy the view
