Hey Gail,
The first Friday in December is Gatlinburg's annual Christmas parade. It's held at night and is very neat to watch, but you have to get a spot early on the sidelines. Having said that, Pigeon Forge will be crazy, but a good crazy. I'll be going up the second week in December for a conference, and am hoping to get some shopping done at the same time. Hope your hand is doing better. Oh, make sure you go by The Inn at the Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge..... the clock is great. http://www.innatchristmasplace.com

Thanks for letting me know this. I did not know it. At church this morning, I am going to talk to the ladies about moving the date. The crowds that weekend will probably be way bigger than I want to deal with. I don't do the after Thanksgiving and after Christmas sales because I'd rather pay full price than deal with the crowds.

We have stayed at the The Inn at the Christmas Place. Merkie loves it.

Just dropped in to say "Hello" before heading out to church. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

After all this you still find a way to make sure everyone has a magical day. Thanks Michelle :)

Awe shucks, some things you just can't let keep eating at you. These kids are in a bad situation, and honestly, from where i sit, I can't do a thing to change it, unfortunetly. I can however, affect those things and people directly around me, my family, my friends. So even though they played a dirty game of ball, the refs saw some, but not all of what they did, we can't sit and stew about it, it's over, it's done, it's time to move on!!!

Life is too short and the time I have with my boys before they head off to college is getting shorter an shorter. I guess I am just "living in the moment", Content to be where ever I am. (although, I would REALLY love to be back on the cruise! LOL)

Okay, that's your philosophical post for this Sunday Morning!

Time for some Coffee!!!

Make it Magical! :wizard:

RISE AND SHINE PARRTOHEADS!!! :goodvibes

We have no where to be, no where to go today!! The skies are dissmal gray, the trees are in full fall color, although after the last rain, many have dropped a good portion of thier leaves. It's going to be colder today, only reaching about 45. I am thinking a vat of chili, a fire in the fireplace, and I am SURE there will be NFL on the big screen today! Maybe I'll even make Erika's Buckeye Dessert!!

Still working on Steve for the WDW Vacation. He was online a little last night. Since we are taking the cruise and wanting to do a few days at the parks after, he says it's cheaper to buy a 10 day park hopper with no experation now, then to get a 7 day ticket now and a 4 day ticket later. I was too tired to figure out the math, but he's pretty quick with math, so I guess that's right! I figure we'll probably use 5 days now and 5 days later. The boys wanted me to check on AKL Savannah view...it's actually $90 cheaper then Beach Club. (thank you Erika for sending in the right direction for online pricing! I never thought to click on the B4G3 link!) I think they are pushing for AKL, but I am still pushing for BC! A) BC we have not stayed at, AKL we have. B) BC has Stormalong Bay! That looks like a water park! I am sure we could spend a day just relaxing there! C) BC has Yahtsman Steakhouse. I know, we can still go there if we stay at AKL, but..... D) we have quicker/better access to the parks at BC. AKL just seems so far "out there". But it's a BEAUTIFUL resort!!! We do love it! Decisions, decisions!

Mocha anyone???

Really???? I haven't seen her foam at the mouth when someone mentions Ann Taylor :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

You haven't?? Oh gosh, her eye's get all big, and they have stars in them! Her hand starts thumbing through her purse, making sure she has her Ann Taylor Credit Card and any coupons that may apply! In her other hand, the keys to the car start jingling and she gets all twittery, just waiting to rush out the door to get there at rope drop! It's really a sight to behold!!

:lmao: :lmao: You were the first person I thought of when I read that post last night on the budget board.

I will have to look at BC! I told Steve we should get the park hopper option if we are going to stay over there....just for the fact that EPCOT IS so close. We could have dinner there everynight, or just go over for a few hours in the evening, if only to watch Illuminations. we have never had a GOOD location to watch that show. I would love to go over JUST for that, and focus on that and get a good location.

Off to investigate BC!

LOL Can I just say, some days I think I am REALLY a blonde?? As I was reading this and typing back, I was thinking that Erika was saying BOARDWALK, which would be the abbreviation of BW, NOT BC. I will look into Boardwalk though!! I know it's Erika's favorite, and it costs the same at Y&BC.

LOL, I was saying Beach Club LOL, the other is BWV, my home sweet home and totally fabulous. But the BC is fabulous too, the Pool is great. Yes, park hoppers are a must in that are, because that is where we spend a lot of our evenings, Epcot. We also love to walk to DHS (well it was MGM the last time I was there) at night, because I think it's beautiful with all the neon!!!!!!!!!

I have read that DHS is a little bit further of a walk then EPCOT. EPCOT being about 5 mins, how long did it take to walk to DHS? Is it better to walk or wait for the ferry boat??

It is a longer walk, especially from the Beach Club. From the BWV I'd say 10-15, probably a good 20-25 minutes from the BC. But if there is no boat there you might as well walk. I love it, hardly anyone ever on the path, very peaceful there too. These times are strolling, if you really hoofed it you could make it faster.

This is soo me.. I had to go online last night and just buy something since I was upset they were closing...LOL!!!!!!

WE took the kids to see the new Madagascar movie this afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what's with the Christmas trees already?

I know some of you are Canadians but Advent isn't even started yet:rotfl:

Checking in to say hi. rich and i were talking this weekend about I want to do on the house htis yr and we're pushing back the feb cruise we booked. Now the only question is when are we pushing it back to:rotfl:

Starting to look like Christmas at work, we had lights up b4 i left for the cruise. but now we have everything but the stocking stuffers and candy out, and htey'll probably start that tonight.

Don't let the crowds scare you off. They will be like that every weekend from now until Christmas. She was encouraging you to go to the Christmas Parade. If you have never seen the parade in person, it's incredible!! It's also really a lot of fun and it helps me get into the Christmas spirit. :santa: But if you must postpone it, we will be there the next weekend!! Since we didn't get to meet on the ship, maybe we could hook up in Gatlinburg!! :rolleyes1
