my friend and neighbor just brought me a birthday gift!! I thought you all would LOVE to see this! I am so tickled with it! I plan on leaving it out until I put up Christmas!!!

well, for whatever reason, it won't let me post the photo of it, but if you click on that link, it will show it to you!!! And what the photo doesn't show, is that the eyes and mouth are open. There is one of those little flickering candle lights inside! A Mickey Jack-o-lantern!

That is so cute!!! I have a fiber optic one I got at TDS a few years back, it's my favorite Halloween decoration.

Hi Everyone!

It's been ages since I posted -things have been very hectic in work and I've been working crazy hours again. Am so so looking forward to this cruise  - No work for two weeks!!!!

I'm really in admiration of all the people who have taken time out to organise all 'DIS Meet' activities for the cruise - I really fancy the early morning walking sessions, I've got a funny feeling with all the food on board I'm going to put on a stone or two, and believe me I really need to be losing not putting on....:lmao:

Allen -many thanks for keeping me updated with the latest cruise lists. I get really excited when I see the mails in my inbox.

Kristin -the website looks great!

It's doubtful I'll have time to organise t-shirts etc, although it's a fantastic idea.

Unfortunately we'll not be able to make the dinner on the 10th as our flight doesn't get into Orlando until just after 6pm. We actually changed our flights recently as we got a great deal -we were originally with Flyglobespan, now with British Airways and US Air. Not direct flights but saved around $3000!!!The only thing that's worrying me is that I've read some dreadful reviews about US Air.....

Think I'm in worry wart mode -I keep dreaming that we miss our connections or that we make it to the cruise but our luggage doesn't......anyone else in panic mode???

Am going to read through all the posts now -there's been a whole new chapter since I last posted :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well, best wishes from Bonnie Scotland.

Katie

Yes, stateroom, last name and what characters you want!!!

Hello, dropped in briefly before heading out to choir practice. Let me tell you my experience. On our first cruise, I dropped a pillowcase off for Merkie. I put my name, stateroom and said any characters. When I got the pillowcase back. It had the signatures and someone also wrote "Gail, I hope you had a magical time! Love Mickey. The problem is the pillowcase was for Merkie. Before she saw it I took it back to Guest Service and the added Merkie's name, but you can tell it was added as an after thought. The handwriting isn't even the same. I'm going to be more specific on my request this time.

That sounds YUMMY!!!!

Here is the response I got from Shirley about emails...... The way I read this, she would prefer phone calls over emails, especially at this time....

Hello Allen,
It is best to call the shop about 2 weeks before sailing simply due to a lot of reasons and that is first to "meet" them and to make sure if it is for children that the children do not have any type of medical or allergy problems and if it is for adults, their most favorite "stuff", what to put the "stuff" in etc.

Also since Johnny, the oldest son, had been in challenges, talking on the phone is so much better for me.

Hope you have a very blessed day.
Always
Shirley

Hi Katie!!
It's good to hear from you!!!! Not in panic mode yet, but I am sure I will be soon enough! I am sure I should have been doing stuff for the cruise this weekend, but I have been doing everything but! Somehow, someway, I always get it done!
Can't wait to meet you!!!!

COOL!!!! They are nice!! Where did yo get them??

There's a store in our local mall that opens just for the Halloween season called The Halloween Store. It sells all sorts of costumes and other Halloween decorations. It's a pretty good selection for all ages and a pretty good quality range. After Halloween, it sells Christmas stuff.

OH MY GOODNESS. I go away for two days to do some photography work and u guys created 60 pages of discussion? How the heck am I going to keep up with you all?

We have one of those. Went yesterday, but they don't have anything to fit me!! I sat out in front of that store for about 30 minutes. They had a guy dressed up in a "scary" outfit, and he would stand at the door, and when people would walk by, he would take a step towards then, and they would jump or scream or crawl up a wall!!! It was funny!! Most of the people jumping and yelling were the younger men / older boys that were just "walking" around the mall checking out the chicks!!!

Same way I do.....don't!!! I just do a quick scan. If anything important jumps out at me, I look a little harder. I can usually scan 10 or 15 pages in about 5 minutes that way.
Off to a meeting, be back later.
