Okay, wait a minute. This launch is at 1:30 A.M. I thought it was in the afternoon. No way Merkie will stay awake long enough to see this. She just looked at me and said she is sleepy and is going to bed soon.

Yup.... 1:34 am, Oct 8th (as in REALLY early in the morning Wed morning!). My plan is to set the alarm clock and get up with the boys, since I will have driven from Chattanooga that day....

Great! Do you think one full week would do it, say during October (that's when Merkie gets fall break)? We did Myrtle Beach last year during fall break and it was still warm and the water felt great.

OK, I asked Rich and he said it'll be easily doable in a week. And he did agree with me about the hotels. No need for reservations.

Oh well, we can't do that anyway. Merkie has school Tuesday. We were leaving right after school and driving to Atlanta, then getting up early Wednesday and leaving to make it to Cape Canaveral by noon to see the launch. Boy, am I glad that you posted that time. We would have rushed there for nothing. I guess we will just leave Wednesday morning and drive the whole way. Merkie will be so disappointed.

Sounds like a fun week. Don't you just love to watch your children perform. Merkie is on the school Speech Team and ends up with a part in very school play. I've never really thought about Drama Camp. She has two Art Camps that she attends every summer. She is really good at drawing.

Oh yes, drama camp is wonderful! Have you ever heard of Missoula Children's Theatre? They do a wonderful job with the kids. Honestly... they drive around in a little red pick up truck, and in one week they take 50-70 kids from auditions on monday, to full fledged 1 1/4 hour musical performances including costumes and sets. My boys have been in 4 shows now, and always look forward to the next one.

Kaj was nominated last year to their summer drama camp in Missoula. A HUGE honor, he had to audition for on video in addition to being nominated by the directors of one of the shows he was in. Not cheap either, but we found out that they actually get broadway directors to come out and work with the kids, the skills they learn really are phenomenal...

No nothing else just a sore throat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try some lozenges or something. I had that happen to me with my last 2 colds. Sore throat first and then no other symptoms for awhile. The fiorst 1 was right after Christmas and I went a whole week with the throat and some laryngitis b4 the rest of the symptoms came along and I had to take 2 days off from work when I did. I even know who I got that cold from

This sounds like such a great opportunity. I just checked, and they will be performing "Robin Hood" in a town about thirty minutes from here on Oct 27, 2008. I'm going to get on the facility web site and see if we can get tickets still. Tell Kaj that I don't want Mickey's autograph on the cruise. I want his, just in case he is famous some day!

I just got on the web site for the Laural County Community Education Program, which is suppose to be the sponsor. It wasn't listed on their Oct activities board. I got their number and will try call ing them tomorrow. I sure hope they're still performing.

Do you think you should squeeze in a Dr's appt too?? Don't let it go too long. If it's strep, it can put you in the hospital!!!!
