OCTOBER 10th MNSSHP meet!!!

ADR stands for Advance Dining Reservation I believe and LTT is Liberty Tree Tavern. I am sure there must be a list of abbreviations but I am not sure.

Well, I just talked to the other member's of my group and they would prefer we keep our original reservation at Tony's for 5:05. Not sure exactly why, it is my children's 5th birthday so maybe they have something planned? :confused3 We will see you at the restaurant though, I know you won't be hard to miss! We will be the ones with two birthday children and the adults dressed as Boston area sports teams. Maybe we will all be done our meal at about the same time? :wizard:

Okay, I have another thought. I have an ADR for a party of 4 at LTT (which yes, is Liberty Tree Tavern) at 5:10. Many other people seem to have ADR's at LTT. So what if we just show up to LTT when it opens and tell them that we have many individual ADR's and we would like to be seated as a group? I could take 2 more people on my ADR and then I called this morning and made another ADR for a party of 4, so that's 4 more spaces. Anyone like this plan better than Tony's?

I just wanted to drop a quick line to say that I'm outta here!!! We are leaving as soon as the kids get up in the morning for our latest WDW trip. We are driving. It takes about 17 hours from Cincinnati so we are going to try to get as far as Atlanta tomorrow and then stop for the night. Then we'll get to WDW on Sunday. We're doing a split stay between the Beach Club and Old Key West (we're DVC members), I am really excited! I'll check back for any details/updates on this thread when I get home on August 5th. If I have time while at Disney I might drop in on the DIS. Talk to everyone later!

I expect to hear all about the BCV when you get back...our 1st visit in Oct.

Hi all!! Thanks for the PMs Stitch. My name is Linda. I have DS 6 and DD 8 and DH (who DS says is-older than dirt). I am an RN in Labor and Delivery. We live in a small town south of Chicago. We have ADRs at LTT for 5PM on the 10th. We will be the Peter Pan, Tink, Wendy and Cpt. Hook group. DH will probably roast, so not sure how long he will last in costume. Would love to meet up with some of you. It would be great if we could get a group for LTT together. We will be staying at the WL 10/8-10/11 and then have to transfer over to the Royal Plaza :sad2: in DTD due to my DD ballet group commitment. This will be our 2nd MNSSHP. The first was in 2004. We had a blast and are really looking forward to this one. Hope to see some of you there!!

Hi~

We have reservations at LTT at 5:05pm--maybe we will see you there. I have a DS that is 6 and will be turning 7 on our trip. We are also staying at the WL...maybe we will see you around.

Well I must agree, alot of people are going to LTT that night and most are around 5, maybe we should change it? Im not oppossed (i dont think!LOL).

Think LTT is tuff to get during special events, we had to "settle" for a time the day we ordered tix for MNSSHP, the day they 1st sold them.

Same thing happened w/MVMCP last year.

Hey there PixiePop. Perhaps we will meet up. Sounds as if a lot of us have ADRs for LTT already. When Stitch returns we'll have to total them up and see how many we have. I have read on the boards somewhere that you can show up early for an ADR and they will still seat you, so if some don't have the exact time they wanted, maybe they could just try coming a little ahead?. Maybe that doesn't work on a party night, though.

Well, we just got back from another wonderful Disney trip! I have been in the car for 16 hours  ! Not a fun time...I'll be online tomorrow hopefully, but I just wanted to drop in and say hi.

Welcome home, Stitch. I'm sure you had a blast!!! Time to plan the next one!!! :woohoo:

Okay, here is the list of DISers with LTT ADR's:

Krissy2803 6pm
vascubaguy ??
PixiePop 5pm
Tiggerrn2 5pm

Then, I have an ADR for a party of 4 at 5pm. I also made another ADR for a party of 4 in case we want to switch to LTT from Tony's. However, this second ADR is at 4:05, that was the only time slot available.

If we went with LTT, I guess this would be the scenario: I will have 2 people in my party, so tammyandtommy could have the other 2 spots in my original ADR. Then Indianadisneyfan and Lets go to Disney could have the other ADR at 4:05. We would then all show up at the restaurant when it opens at 4pm. We would explain that we have multiple ADR's and see if they could possibly seat us all together and we would see what happened. It is true that you can check-in early for an ADR so I really think this just might work. Worse case scenario we are all seated at different times and we meet up for the party.

Then there are the DISers who would just like to meet for MNSSHP:
kj2mom
missesk45

Please share any opinions!

Just in case, we can't all meet up at the restaurant ahead of time, why don't we decide on a meeting place and time to meet prior to the start of the party.

Okay, well, I've never been to MNSSHP, but it is my understanding that they move everyone who is going to the party into one land. That way they can clear the non-ticketed guests out of the park. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, I don't know if there's any way to find out what land that will be, but it seems like our meeting spot would need to be in that land. Or maybe we could meet at the hub at the partners statue? I'm open to any suggestions!

Tom and I still havent decided if we were going to go to MNSSHP, I guess we need to decide soon. We might not be able to meet if we dont go. especially if the park closes at 6pm... :confused3 :sad2:

Anyone have any "pros" to going? I might need to sell him on it!
Get out your biggest sale persons smile and throw me some lines/ideas! :teeth:

Tammy, if you will be at WDW for this party, don't miss it!! Even if I didn't have kids, I would still go. The different parade and fireworks, the decorations, all the characters that you don't normally see and (if you just a parker for the rides) the ability to ride rides without a wait all make it worth it. I love Halloween, so for me, this is the reason I love the party. The candy is good, too. Plus, it's so much fun to watch the kids all dressed up and getting so excited looking at stuff and seeing the characters. In the grand scheme of things, you're spending another few bucks at Disney for a lifetime of memories. Plus, maybe you'll never be there during this season again. How's that for a sales pitch?! :rotfl2:

I believe that they usually herd everyone over to TommorowLand. We could pick a spot there....or I like your idea of meeting at the hub by the statue..actually now that I think of it, that probably would be a good idea.

sounds good so far! Is everyone in costume? Tom said if we go he wants to be a pirate, BUT I dont think I can behis wench no matter what he says

Does the ticket for the party include park admission? If we didn't want to go to the parks that day could our MNSSHP ticket get us in when the party starts?

Yes GaMom. You can enter the park only on your party ticket and not waste a park day off your hopper pass or whatever pass you have. In years past, people have been able to enter as early as 4PMish only on their party ticket. Not sure if it will be that way again or not. Seems like some things are changing this year. Used to be park closed to regular visitors at 6 and the party started at 7 giving the CMs time to decorate the park, but according to the calendar the park is closing at 7 so not sure how the CMs will get the decorating done or how they will clear out the non-party goers before the party starts.
