October 10, 2015 - Disney Fantasy 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

Hi there Everyone! I did some list updating... Thanks everyone for staying up on the updates!!
I added some more information if people would like to volunteer any information in the purple parts and also the yellow info has been requested for Last names for Cabins. I did add names to the bottom on our Pixie Duster/New Friends list because you just never know who might have some extra magic and I figure there is no harm in keeping track of all our friends :)
I was also thinking I might add the 5k and the meetup on there in the next round in case people are interested in keeping track of those.... I am hoping that maybe we can move the meet-up time up some so we can attend both a meet and greet as well as the DVC thing, i think we were able to do that successfully last year. :) That's my update for this morning...
I do have one other question though, HeatherNormand (I'm sorry I forget how to tag you!), are you planning something special on the 11th? I was just curious.

You know, other than having them decorate the room, and sing for them at Dinner, I hadn't planned anything else. What have other's done/seen done for Boy Birthdays on the ship? I ordered the decorations so that they are ready when we enter the room. We've notated it on our reservations. "Mickey" also comes by the room and leaves little Treasures on their beds at night. Would love to hear what others have done.

I would be happy to change the time of the meet and greet, but the earliest time I could select to arrive at the port was 12:30 to 12:45, and that's just arriving at the terminal, I'm not sure how long it takes to board from there. Does anyone know if you are allowed to arrive early and board earlier?

I suppose we could move it to the first morning we are on board?

I think the first morning will be less crazy - I am up for anytime though! We are not DVC so we won't be at that meeting the day we board.

I can't view the latest attachment...so I don't know what info you need. Corrections for us:
my daughter Noelle will be 12 on the cruise (we are doing an early birthday celebration, but she won't turn 13 on the cruise); we are also celebrating our anniversary (which will have passed...Oct. 3rd). Last name:

If we move up the meet a half hour to 2 p.m. that should be good for the DVC meet people. The next morning is a sea day so it might be hard to find a place to meet. If your port time is 12:30-12:45, you can still get to the port earlier to get through security and check in. Your boarding time onto the ship is based on your assigned time still.

Okay, let's move the meet up to between 2 and 3 at the Mickey Pool. Less than a month, so excited!

So this time next month we will all be in the Sunny Eastern Caribbean! Let's see, on Monday we will be in Saint Maarten. What awesome excursions is everyone doing there? On our last Fantasy cruise we did an island tour of Saint Maarten that was pretty decent. We had a blast at Sunset Beach watching the planes come in and take off. There was a market on the French side that had an amazing little restaurant that sold sandwiches, breads and desserts. I wish I could remember the name of it. Would totally go back there again....hope to make the meet and greet with the wife and kids! We will be yelling Bon Voyage in no time! ALOHA!

Oh wow...hello to another MARYLANDer!

We are beyond excited about this trip, longest cruise EVER for the kids. Still waffling on our excursions. I am really considering booking Random Wind based on recommendations from other cruisers. I've emailed them and received a response...but have not bit the bullet quite yet. I think my kids will actually really enjoy this one.

Still need to plan out other things, like our costumes for Halloween and Pirate Night.

As anxious as I am for it to get here, I know the trip itself will go by way too fast!

I haven't had a chance to read the entire thread...are there a bunch of Marylander's on the cruise? If so, that is awesome! This cruise is so long overdue for our family. We were originally booked for Fall, 2013....then Fall, 2014....but we will be sailing in less than a month in Fall, 2015 baby! Woo Hoo! We too are planning our costumes now. The wife really wants to do pirates for pirate night, but I would rather do cooler themed costumes for the special Halloween themed cruise. I personally would like to dress my son up as Peter Pan and my daughter as Tinkerbell. I could be a pirate to appease my wife and play Captain Hook.....that leaves my wife....She has blonde hair...so Wendy perhaps?

I don't know if there are other MD people on the cruise, but when I saw your name...well I had to say hello!

This is our 4th Disney cruise overall, but the kids' third one. They've done the Dream (Nov 2012) and the Magic (Jan 2014) and now this one, booked with our OBB discount of course.

Love the idea of dressing the family up like Peter Pan and the gang.

Our last cruise wasn't during Halloween, so we just had pirate night. This was the best we could do:

Oh and our whole crew:

This time the old people won't be joining us, and I expect the costumes for Pirate Night will be pretty similar. They were easy enough to throw together. I'd like us to also do something for Halloween, but as of yet we haven't decided on that.

Anyway not sure if we'll make the meet and greet right now but if you see us around please say hello!

Can't wait to go. Isabella hasn't been a fan of the beach (sand is really an evil trick) so we are doing the seaworld explorer in St maarten. We'll be taking it easy in St thomas/john and doing the butterfly anytime and shopping. We will brave the beach at castaway cay. Looking forward to playing the games on board too. Izzy was 3 months last time we went so i'm looking forward to seeing how much more she gets out of the cruise this time.20140518_211141.jpg

Good Morning Friends! I just wanted to throw a quick post up to try the list again, lemme know if you can get to it this time!
Thank you for all time and effort into putting this list together. This will be our 1st Disney Cruise and looking forward to meeting new friends, we are traveling with our friends Jim & Chris who have been on many cruises. Didn't realize that you had to list alcohol ok, no allergies, will be very excited to receive anything!! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi there! Thanks for the props! I am looking forward to meeting everyone as well, this is only our second cruise but be warned everything they say about becoming addicted is so true! :)

The alcohol OK thing was more for before they changed the alcohol policy because people liked to gift grown ups some little bottles I believe lol unfortunately with the update to the policy I do not think they are allowed anymore :( and of course allergies are always good to know :) I did have one question for you so I was happy to see your name pop up, is Chis short for anything?

List looks great...I see the new columns now. So our delivery doesn't matter really. We have the 1st dinner seating as of right now. I think our checkin is 11:30am or so, but I don't know if we will get there that early or not as we are driving down from Maryland on Friday night and I don't know where we'll end up stopping for the night, but my hope is to make it to Florida before we stop.

Only correction I have is that my daughter will be 12 on the cruise, she won't turn 13 on the cruise. Her birthday is the end of October but we may celebrate a little early.

Can't believe how close we are to leaving now. Getting a few last minute things in order for the trip. I'm paranoid a bit about 'sea lice' and since I have kids with sensitive skin when it comes to bites and such, I ordered special lotion from Amazon just to have with us as a precaution.

I think we must talk about something cruise related every night at home!
