Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has taken the OCTA (Orange County Transportation Authority) to Disneyland? I am staying at the Doubletree Orange for the second half of my trip and unfortunately their shuttle will not get me there in time for Magic Morning. I am therefore looking at taking the bus. However it means a short walk to the bus stop and then the bus ride. Does anyone know if the area is safe and if the bus is safe or should I look into other methods to get to DL? I would most likely be getting on the bus around 6am!

You should be fine. I have traveled upon this bus system.

Thanks. I have already checked the routes and fares from the website. I was just wondering about the safety...

I can't answer about the bus, but have you considered a taxi for just that one morning? I haven't done this, so I can't say how easy or hard it is to arrange for one, but if it was me, I'd be looking in a taxi over a bus.

I have thought of a taxi... I'm just thinking the bus will be MUCH cheaper and since that will be my 8th DL day I'll be pretty broke by then!

I agree with Pink B,

If time is that much of a factor, I would go ahead and take a cab. Yes, they are pricey, in comparison to the bus. But normally so much faster, of course.
If memory is serving me correctly, in that part of So. Ca. the fare for taxi's starts at $2.95 for the first one fourth mile, then goes from there. So pretty much from the second one enters the cab.... cha ching.....
