Oct. Temps in So. California - Packing Advice

I need some packing advice.

We're going to DL Columbus Day weekend & then to Big Bear Lake (where my sister lives) for the rest of the week and have no idea of what to pack clothing wise. I looked at Weather.com and see what the temps are around that time and they say approx. 81 during the day and 60 at night (very nice )...so I'm guessing shorts and a light sweater for the evenings? Now for Big Bear...60's during the day and 40's at night! I'm thinking I'm going to have to pack summer AND fall clothes.....yikes!

Any suggestions from my Southern California DIS friends?

That's pretty accurate.

It's been hot this year (90's today - end of Sept) so it may be
a little warmer than in the past years. Big Bear is always
colder - especially at night - because of the altitude.

For many of us SoCal folks 60's isn't shorts and a light sweater
weather. for me 60's at night is jacket weather. Chilly!

Weather is one of the more interesting things about living in
this area. In mid-winter we can hit the ski slopes in the morning,
drive for 90 minutes and surf in the afternoon.

GGRREEAATT! Well, I guess if I pack light...then I'll just HAVE to buy a Disney sweater! Oh darn!

When we went in 2007 it was 80's during the day and then it would dip into the 50-60's at night. We swam at the hotel at night. And then one day we needed a light jacket. It was really perfect.
