Oct/Nov or Dec?

LISA that's an excellent point about Dis-ers not being the same as what the general public would do! THANKS! Now I feel much better. :thumbsup2

We are considering October or Early December for our 2009 vacation.

We will be taking our 1st little one who will be anywhere from 10-12 months. If we go in December we could celebrate our little one's 1st birthday and our 2nd wedding anniversary.

I just don't know which....

I'm a big fan of early- to mid-December at WDW! It's busy, but not crazybusy. Definitely busier than in 2003, which was the first time I visited WDW at that time of year.

Thanksgiving weekend ends on Sunday, November 30th, this year. Pop Warner begins the following Saturday (affects All Stars and POR/POFQ, but not the other resorts or parks much).

And Peak Season begins a bit earlier than usualy this year--the Friday before Christmas, I believe. I think it's December 19th, but check the calendar. I don't have one handy at the moment.

Considering that in my life I've been on:
April Vacation Week
Christmas Week

I'd say that the 1st week of December is great. DH and I went in 2007, from Dec. 2-7. We did have some interference with the Pop Warner crowds, but as mentioned on another recent thread, it's really NOT that huge of a deal.

So, when we went, I found that for the most part, we were able to walk right on the rides, or wait minimally (15-20 minutes). I was amazed that that was possible. I think the longest wait we saw posted was 40 minutes!

The weather was actually really good -- about 75 degrees for the most part -- one day was maybe 82 -- but the nights were cool enough for a sweater/light jacket.

I loved the Christmas/Holiday vibe, and I'm looking forward to going at that time again!

We go every year in the beginning of OCt. We pull our son out of school and go. It is great, the weather is wonderful and the crowds are minimal. We have never waited for more than 20 minutes for any ride and that was including when Soarin' was having some "smog" in L.A. :)
