We will be in disney 10/28-11/4. Do you think I need ADR's or will I be ok just walking in to a restaurant. I ask becase my daughter will be 2 and I have a feeling we will be doing mostly Counter Service meals. However if she is not too tired I would like to have a few table server dinners. I just have no idea as to what nights that will be or where we will be when we decide to eat.

Do I have a decent chance of being seated without an ADR? Thanks

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make ADR's, no matter what time of the year, no matter what day of the week, no matter what park, no matter what restaurant, make sure you plan ahead

I agree -- always ADR! The very worst thing for you will be to find yourself tired, with a very tired 2-year-old, and to find no walk-ins available. You are better off giving up some of your sense of freedom and flexibility to know that you have a sure thing.

We were there pretty much the exact same days as you're going in 2005. While you could get away with walking in at lunch-time, you really did need ADRs for dinner. On Saturday night we had to wait 20-30 minutes for a table, and that was WITH an ADR, and at the Rose and Crown, people without ADRs were turned away.

Agree, October is our normal season, and with Food and Wine going on at Epcot, restaurants in Epcot can (in particular) be busy. And its Halloween in the MK, making that another sort of zoo. On the other hand, with F&W going on in Epcot and a two year old, you may discover that a character meal and a resort dinner or two, or sit down lunches work better. (Some resort restaurants are still VERY popular and you'll still want ADRs).
