Oct Minivan Rate

Any good rates for Minivans in Oct? I best I could find for 10 days (19th - 28th) is $459 ( with all taxes and fees)with Dollar and that was a month ago...much higher than what we paid a couple of years ago They are even higher now when I check. Even off-site Thrifty is much more expensive than $459.

Try promo code OCVB and contract ID oi1054 with Dollar. I just ran it and it gave a total rate of 410, not much differnce, but $40 will buy lunch!

I just got done booking through Dollar for a full size jeep at $387 tax in for 10 days. I also booked a mini thorugh Thrifty at $430 for 10 days. I usually book a few vehicles as rates go down but always book early in case rates go up. I don't have to give a credit card and can cancel at any time. I read a report on the NY Times that rates for SUV's will continue to drop as gas rates go up and the demand for larger vehicle go down. I have a family of five and rented an Explorer last year and found that it had plenty of room. Van has a little more room but what ever has the best price. Keep checking rates.

Thanks but I can't seem to get that rate. I've tried it a few times and it is just shy of $387; $23 less that what I have with Dollar. I've used Thrifty before and had a good experience but for just $23 I'd rather not take a shuttle. I'll keep trying though.

Sorry, mine was the 9 day quote. I missed that you will need it for 10 days - I just looked at your dates.

Thrifty seems to be the lowest - use the walmart code WMRT for an extra 10% off. Maybe it will make more than a $20 difference...
