Oct Cruising Weather

My family(me, dh, and 9 yr old son) are booked on the Disney Wonder for October 2-5. Anybody been on DCL in Oct /hurricane season? What kind of weather can we expect?

We've cruised twice in early October and had beautiful weather both times. Last year we had a little rain but nothing to cause a problem.

We cruised last Oct and we had perfect weather. Well, I take that back....it poured for about 30 minutes on our Castaway Cay day, but we were getting our cabana massages, so it didn't phase us one bit The second the rain stopped, the clouds parted and the sun shined again! That was the only bit of bad weather we had on our WAAAAY TOOOOO SHORT 4 night cruise!

We just booked today for our Sept 04 cruise Hoping for the best weather possible!!!!

I have cruised six times in October and never had bad weather. One year we missed a bunch of islands, because a hurricane had just been through. We actually got to visit places not on any standard itineraries. It was fun. You'll be fine. Enjoy!

We had excellent weather in Oct/2000 - rough waters (snorkling excursions were cancelled) I always book in Sept. or Oct.

We are going on 09/25-10/02 Western...my DH's birthday is the 27th, so it will be a good birthday for him!!! I am a bit worried about the weather, but there are no guarantees, no matter when you go! We will love it just the same

We're on the 10/2 cruise with you. This will be our 3rd cruise the same weekend. We first cruised 10/01; last year we convinced our family to join us, and they're all coming back with us on 10/2, so we love cruising in October. Last year, there was a hurricane kicking around that made the seas really rough the first night out, but not enough to get anyone sick. I thought that Nassau was really hot--and then the taxi driver told us we were lucky we came this week, "since it was so hot last week". Castaway Cay weather was perfect both times.
