Oct car rental

We never rent a car at WDW but will be going to Vero Beach in Oct. so we will need a rental. When should I start looking for deals? TIA

Start watching about 3 months before, but don't stress about booking until about 6 weeks ahead. Having said that, there is no reason you couldn't book a car now and then if you see a better deal later (right up to the week you arrive) there is no penalty to re-booking at the lower rate.

I found that if you book early with Dollar the prices are better. Try code kiss2 for discount. Alamo prices seem to get cheaper the closer it gets. I have made several ressies already and will cancel the ones I don't need. Don't forget to check out mousesavers.com for rental car discounts.

I have always booked early and changed reservations if the rates lowered. I have always found lower rentals by booking far in advance. I am already booked with Dollar for my October rental. I got a week in a Charger for $158, all taxes included. I could have knocked a bit off of that if I went with a smaller car. If you wait to book you are really taking a chance that the rates could be higher.
