It's very crowded. It's still great fun. We didn't wait very long in any of the trick or treat lines. They move very fast.

It's mostly crowded on the streets as everyone's just walking around taking in all the Halloween atmosphere. The rides weren't that bad except in Tomorrowland where they put party goers from 6:00 to 7:00p while they clear out the park.

Try to get there early, like 4:00p or 5:00p (they'll let you in by then with just your party ticket) and get a head start. Maybe eat at a restaurant till 6:30 - 7;00 and then head to anywhere BUT Tomorrowland.

I usually go to the second parade.

Enjoy

It will be sold out, so that's an indication of popularity.

It will seem like a really crowded day at MK, but not insane like at Christmas or Easter.

if you can try not to go on oct 31. we go every year but never actually on halloween. we never have a wait for anything it is so great. last year we saved a park hopper and decided to go 2 times because it was so great and no crowds. mnsshp has so many dates leading up to halloween so if you can try to go another night insted. you wont be dissapointed :wave2:

We are taking DS (age 14 then) for his first trip to WDW the last week of Oct. Oct 25 - Oct 30. He will not be interested in MNSSHP, so we won't to to that. SO, my question is...will it be terribly crowded those days? Esp. the weekend?

We did MGM on October 30 and it was a Thursday and it was not bad at all. I don't think we even used our fast pass once.... :cool1: No problem at all getting a seat for Fantasmic either. It did fill up,but if you got there 30 minutes early you are fine.

We did MK on Halloween day and it was not too bad till after noon and then it started getting a little busy. We used fastpass on a couple rides and then went back to get ready for the party that night.

We came back early around 5:00 and they let us in with wristbands and we could ride the rides till 6:00. Once the party started it was crowded, but lines for rides were never bad and we got our picture taken with no problems. We also managed to watch both parades and I must say the second one was much less crowded. The little ones start too poop out around 10:00 pm and people start leaving...

Loved the Headless Horseman!! I would do MNSSHP again in a second, but would like to try a different night other than Halloween night! :wizard:
It was tons of fun though!! The weather was perfect!!

Well thanks for all the info......trying to plan on not taking kids out of school so much since they are getting older now 7,.8.9.12,16 I mean G-Kids.....they have most of the first wk in Nov. off school, but would want to get to the World the wk end of the 30th of Oct.....again thanks for the input

Buy your tickets as soon as they come out. Don't wait or you won't get them. They sell out fast.

My son is 12 and MNSSHP is one of his Favorite things about WDW. The sold-out parties are really funny. It's because the walkways and Halloween events are pretty packed. It can be difficult to get around and trick-or-treat and such. However, the rides have virtually no wait. That time of year during the day isn't bad. We found the waits to be no more that an average of 10-15 minutes. We were there 10/30-11/8 of 2003.

This past year we did hit up the first MNSSHP-- and thats the plan again this year. The crowd difference at the actual party was unbelievable.

It's not too bad. We went last Halloween and were able to hit everything except the pictures. Tomorrowland does get packed before the party starts, so go on the people mover (sometimes Space Mountains lights are on) or Carousel of Progress. Trick or treat lines moved well. We didn't get our pictures taken because the lines were out of control, even early. If you're at MNSSHP, stay by the Liberty Bell to hear the story of the headless horseman before he starts the parade. Eat at LTT before the show because the characters are in there Halloween Costume. If you make ps for 4pm you might get choses to open the tavern. WE DID!

Thanks for the info. We'll be planning, planning, planning for the next few months, so this is good to know.

Can't wait!!!

I have gone on 10/31 twice with no problems. That is the night that usually sells out, however. It's a bit more crowded that other nights for MNSSHP, but they only sell like 12,000 tickets, and the park's capacity is much higher than that. Don't skip the photo, it comes with the package! It's cute!

Last year I went on the previous Friday night and it was crowded too, probably since it was a Fri. night.

You will love it no matter what night you pick. Don't forget to get some treats for your self! :cool1:

We went last year on Oct.31 and had the best time. The streets were packed but the rides were walk ons. Since it was the last night to give out candy, the CM's were dumping the candy into our bags. We have never had so much candy in all of life. I would tell you to watch the second parade since it appeared to be much less crowded.

This is a great thread for me too!! We are flying into Orlando on the 30th of October (arriving at around 1:30 in the afternoon). We have DS (9) and DD (5). I am wondering with the flight, excitment etc. if we should go the night we arrive (30th) or take our chances and go on the 31st? Any suggestions to this?

We will be there too (the 30th is our little ones 6th bday)...

mulanrouge - This might be good to do on the 30th for you. My thought for this is you have to pay extra anyway. Therefore using this on a day that you wouldn't want to use a normal park day might be a plus. - - - Also then you will be less tempted to run into a park, using a park ticket. Instead you can relax, check in, and know you have a bit of time to get ready. But how your family copes with the travel is the defining rule.

As for us, we plan on MK on the 30th (where else for a princess's birthday), but we are planning to do MNSSHP probably during the week before (maybe Thur).

Can't Wait!!!!
