Oct 30 First Ever Pre-Trip LOTS OF PICS!!!!

Well let's start this out with I have not a clue what I am doing! But i will give this a try. I am 34 stay at home mom of 2 WILD boys. They are what my parents call 100% boys. I have been married to Glen DH for 11 years now but been together for almost 14. We live in a little county in VA where not much goes on for us except our kids. They keep us hopping everyday of the week.

DS1 11 almost 12 is in the 6th grade, what fun middle school can be for a mom He was very excited but i was a nervous wreck of course. GA ( my son) is very into sports so keeps us very busy. At the moment he is involved in football and then onto basketball soon to follow baseball, now he has informed us he wants to take karate as well . He loves Disney, but of course not as much as mom does. His favorite character would have to be stitch.

DS4 is in preschool part time and full time Wild Child. We call him chicken little because with his blonde hair and glasses he looks just like him. He plays T-Ball and does karate and now informs us he want to play soccer too One more activity to add. He likes Disney but does know as much about it as his brother does.But he is catching on.

Dh works hard and runs his own buisness but not into the Disney scene but humors me on occassions.

Me myself love anything Disney. I have been to WDW 3 times and Cruised once before. I love everyminute of it more so than my children.Hince my screen name.

Our first cruise was last year in May 07. From the moment we stepped on the ship we knew we would be back. It was the best thing we had ever done. Being a stay at home mom I get very little ME time, now to some that may sound selfish but being a mom 24 7 with no outside life it gets a little stressful sometimes so Disney is my relief .

Coming next our upcoming plans I hope I have not bored anyone to tears yet like i said i have no clue what i am doing!

ok our plans are we are going on a 3 night Disney Wonder cruise to the Bahamas with and extra surpise. We are driving down so we will leave Wed and get my boys out of school the teachers are not happy about my oldest missing a few days. But hey this is his 12th Birthday and we want to live it up Disney style. We only have 1 excursion planned in Nassau for the Blackbeard Stingray . I hope it will be fun my husband is a little nervous but I have assured him Disney will never let anything happen to children.
Our last cruise was the same 3 night cruise but it rained almost the whole time and there are alot of things we missed out on like we did not get to go to Castaway Cay. So that is one thing we can not wait for. The water was too ruogh and we could not get in. But Overall it was a Great trip here are some pics from last time

Well the only thing my ds4 can think about from our last cruise is his "girlfriend" he met which was the onboard photographer.

From the first day she took a liking to ds and called him her boyfriend and made a big deal everythime she saw him or we went into look at photos she told everyone he was her "boyfriend" I mean to tell you she made it the most special trip I could have ever imagined. Now the only problem is that is all he can talk about now we are going back that he is going to see his girlfriend, I have asked around and no one has seen her on the wornder lately. So uh oh this may be hard to explain.
One of the biggest things about our trip this time is we are celebrating my ds11 12th birthday. Because we disebark the ship on his birthday , Nov 2, We are surpring him on that day with a trip to Magic Kingdom before we return home. We booked a room at All Stars Sports which is special because he is so into sports and we have never stayed on grounds so I know he will be pschyed. I have made up special shirts and pins and penny roll carriers the whole nine yards to make it extra special for him. I figure this may be the last trip for a while he will care about as he enteres this fun age on teenagers. Her are some photos of our shirts and stuff

I also am doing door magnets this time which i did not know about last time which is really cool except there are so many talented artist around here it was so hard deciding which to use so I used most I guess i will rotate everyday. Sorry more pics

I also decided this time to do the pillow cases with autographs. I am going to drop them off at the desk and they will get every character to sign them and return them to our room I think the last night. So sorry more pics here they are

I think the hardest part is waiting for the cruise. I plan and plan and it makes time fly but the last month is such a count down it seems like forever. My youngest DS and I watched our home video from last year today to get a little Disney fix. We needed it. I di d anyway. I am really looking forward to the Stingray Excursion. I have never done anythign like that before, i wanted to do the dolphins but it was quite a bit more so maybe I will save up for next time.
We are on deck 2 this time which we have never stayed on this particular deck before and i really loved our room on deck 6 last time so we will see. My oldest son is looking forward to the fact we gave him the right to check his self in and out of the club and he thinks that is a really big deal. My youngest ask me evryday is it today Mommy, I guess I should have held off on telling them because it seems like forever to me i can imagine how crazy it must seem for a 4 year old.
Has anyone ever stayed on deck 2? Has anyone ever done the Halloween cruise before? I am so excited to see if there is any difference or special about it . I know we are going to do trick or treating but I hope they have special photo ops for the event.
My youngest is very excited about the Toy Story show we are big fans.Well I have bored you enough for now check back in later as time clicks on by.

I first used the magnets sheets you can buy at walmart and michales but that cost way too much So i printed on photo paper and either added the magnet tape on the back or ran a few through my xyron with the magnet backing those turned out best. Thanks for stopping in.

Well one month to go. I can ot believe I have finally gotten to this point, this longest there is.

This where I am waiting to be. To hear the sail away horn and to celebrate at the sail away party. I can not wait. I have joined a dis meet this time so I am really excited about that. i have signed my family up for the Fish Extender exchange which has made waiting alot of fun. Coming up with ideas and gifts. I know my kids will love it. I have not told them yet so they will be surprised when they come to the room and find their gifts. I have no talent so I am getting my FE made. I know that is cheating but like I said no creativity AT ALL!

Well he loved the cruise last time and he deals with Disney World, and I love him for it. Before we were married he never had left our state and since I have had him all over the place even out of the country!.

Is really excited to be having a birthday on board so we have ordered him some gifts to be delivered to the room and I made him up a bag of some trading pins and autograph book photo book some pirate gear a water camera and a disney gift card. I mean what do you do for a pre-teen boy now a days. I just hope my youngest does not feel totally left out. I guess his next birthday he will want to Cruise again!! But that comes in January so I doubt he will get it this year. Well I guess I should give everyone a break see ya soon!

You're very creative! I love your tshirts...all those door signs...what fun!! I'm about 65 days and counting until our cruise...so, the FE ideas are coming together..as well as all the extras I like to plan for the kids....can't wait to read more!

Good morning to all! I tell you this place is addictive I can not stay away. I love looking at all the photos and reading about all the fun everyone is having. I can't wait until i can report about our trip. But until then I can only wait and live through everyone else .
Today being Tuesday means I get a few hours to myself, my youngest goes to preschool for 3 days for 3 hours. no it's not much but he gets to be with other kids and learn and I get a break .

This is my Wild Child we call him. Believe me mommy needs those few hours a week to bounce back a little, don't get me wrong he is not bad just busy and VERY entertaining. He can say the crasiest things that just come out of no where. He is starting to get into Disney, much slower process than my older son. Like I said he is just much to busy to be into Tv that much, but hey throw on some wrestling and that child is still as a tree aside from the moving around he does like he is in the ring.

I am hoping to convert him to full fledge Disney nut soon though because the oldest and getting in the "teenage " fase where it's not so cool to be with mom & dad at Disney, he almost wanted to pass up this trip until he found out it will be all about him for his birthday , yea he likes to be cented of attention just a little, so now i need DS4 to help beg dad, who is not a Disnet nut at all, and make it easier for mom to continue to travel!!!
DS11 was not happy about this trip for 2 main reasons ,he is going to miss the playoffs for football, and he says they absolutly need him, once again he likes hisself alot, and he will miss the girls.

Yes my 6th grade son is into girls. Like there are not girls on a Disney cruise, that is what I told him you will et to meet Girls from all over, just a smile took over his face and he soon agreed, i like to think he agreed because of his birthday but am not totallt positive.

But he's my baby and I am glad he agreed for what ever reasons it took.

this will be our first Disney trip with out my DN who just turned 13.

Though she is my niece she is more like my daughter, she will truly be missed. She is in 8th grade and needs to stay focused in school so she is staying behind this go around. My parents always got to WDW with us but have never been on a cruise. They say they can't leave my grandfather be hind he is going on 90 so I truly understnad that but wish they could go just once.

Ok I am down to 29 days so today I started getting things together to pack. This is the hard part. I am an over packer I always pack for just in case and never need it but I am so afraid the one time I don't I will really need it. This trip there will definatley need more bags for a couple of reasons, one being we are going for Halloween so we have to pack costumes and trick or treat bags and such and the other is I am doing the Fe exchange so I have a lot of gifts to carry on. This should be fun plus I have to add in the magnets too. They weigh alot. I am thinking about shipping my Fe gifts and magnets in one box so I will not have to carry them on the ship. Anyone ever done this before? I would hate to not get them and be with out I am a little worried about that though.
I called Shirley yesterday and ordered my boys their Halloween baskets I am really excited about that. The way she talks these are going to be awesome. I have never used her before but heard so many goods things about her , then when I called her WOW she is wonderful. She is just so easy to work with. So that is off my list and I called DCL and ordered the Birthday cake and decorations for my son's 12th birthday so that is off my list. I was going to order the Halloween stuff from them but I do not really care for what they are offering this year.So I ordered my self a frame too, yes I should get spoiled too. I just need to call back and get my Ds 11 a gift card he can use on the ship all by himslef to make him feel a little more special and grown like he thnks he is rather than giving him spending priviledges on our KTW card. I know he could rack up quick if he has no limits. So slowly but surely I am knocking down.
So back to the packing. If I take sandals that are nice can I wear them for dinner too? That way I will not have to pack so many shoes for 3 days. How about my sons they have 2 really nice pair off tennis shoes but they are a little dressy too could they wear them to dinner? How many people actually look at our feet? I have all our swimm stuff packed in one carry on bag already so we can get right to with goggles and swim fins for my youngest. Well I guess I will get back to packing and talk with you soon!
