Greg,
Havn't you learned yet? You can't win against a woman:lmao:
Especially not Denise:thumbsup2

Quiet day around here today?

I am in the middle of unhappy dogs as they realize Greg isnt coming back tonight. First they pace the floor looking out the windows, Then minnie looks at me and barks her head off for 10 minutes while Pixie sits in Greg chair looking out the window for him.

Then they sit side by side and stare at me with ears sticking up and eyes wide open.
Finally when I pull the blinds down they know it means he isnt coming tonight,
then the real whinning begins for a couple of hours, Stops and starts again at bedtime.
Tomorrow evening we will go through it all over again:lmao:

This happens every time he is gone overnight, the exact same routine.:worship:

I may watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I have never watch that yet. I saw on line a Luge man died in an accident during his practice run today. I really felt aweful for him. He was only 21.

well back when I can,

Kathy

Kathy

This is very true, but its always fun to try. :rotfl2:

Sounds like Minnie and Pixie have quite the routine they go through when Greg doesn't come home.

Our little dog Max just does about the same thing. He'll lay on the floor by the back door waiting for Janel to come home. When he hears the car pull in the garage he goes nuts!!

Nicole has a basket ball game this afternoon and then we're all going up skiing with my Janel's family later tonight. I'll probably just sit in the lodge and drink hot chocolate and watch out the window. My arms/hand is doing pretty good today...very little pain but not quite ready to try skiing yet.

Morning all,

Greg have fun drinking cocoa:goodvibes
Actually I love to sit and watch it snow out the window.

We have a break in the rain until late afternoon, so I walked the dogs about 7 a.m. just in case the rain comes early. They are both getting fat due to lack of exercise. I need more dry days that arnt freezing to get them out more .

I tried to stay up and watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics last night for the first time. I remember seeing up to the countries athletes marching in, then I must have dozed off because they went from the c's up to the United States:lmao:
Then i thought well at least I will see them light the torch, unless i slept through it earlier too. I think I fell asleep once earier too.
I never did see the torch enter the arena or light anything. I havnt a clue what was going on when I woke up again to turn it off.

By then Minnie had jumped in Gregs chair to sleep for the night and i had covered her up and Pixie had jumped on the couch on my feet. It was so nice and warm like that i just slept there under my blanket. of course after a few minutes of Pixie on my feet I had to move my dead feet.:rotfl2:

I think I could use a nap today.

I did get several scrapbook pages done yesterday and will work on more today.

Hope everyone has a good saturday:thumbsup2

Kathy

Probably nice for those still on the ship, but terrible for those waiting to get on.

I dont know about that. Most will be worrying about having to reschedule flights to get home. How long will they have to wait at OIA for a flight? There are a few flights that only go once or twice a day.

I wonder how many have to work on sunday??

Could be alot of problems for some people.

We all know there can be delays but they so rarely happen I dont think most people allow an extra day for travel. It will be interesting to read of peoples adventures after they get back.

Well I just got an e-mail from my oldest son who is still unemployed, almost 2 years now, actually over 2 years. He still get unemployment but his girlfriend pays the bills.
He has been making things for the farmers market to sell which is good, at least it s something and he lives on the coast in the summer tourists buy all kinds of stuff. The farmers Market is in Salem so thats thousands of people coming by. That starts in the spring.

Anyway he has been studying laying hens and has built a really elaborate but cheap hen house for them and bought 5 hens to start with. Most should start laying in a couple of weeks but he did get his first brown egg today. He sent me a picture of it.

He already has people wanting to buy fresh eggs so selling them wont be the problem.

But I am curious how much the feed costs in comparrison to the price of his eggs? I know he will have figured that all out but I hope he can make a few extra $$. More important it is something that he can do each day so he feels he is contributing some how.
My son the rancher:lmao:

Kathy

I hope your son has good luck with the chickens. We raised them for a while, but we didn't sell the eggs.

Janel and Chayce just left to go up skiing. The other kids didn't want to go, so I'm staying home with them since I can't ski yet.

Well you guys need to pop some popcorn, make some cocoa and watch a movie to have a fun night too.:thumbsup2

I guess Randy has 11 customers already for his eggs when they start laying more. All but one are just a couple of weeks too young to start laying yet.

He is also selling the coops. He is thinking of a name for his business license for all the wooden things he is building.
For the eggs he is thinking of Local Yokels:lmao:

We shall see what happens. I think at least the eggs will sell good. I hope the other things he has made will sell good too at the farmers market.

Just heard from Greg. He is all done accept a bit of touch up painting with the addition. HOORAY!! He will spend one day next weekend and move all her stuff out of storage and put it where she wants in the addition and it will be all done.

Dogs are sleeping, so I may watch a bit of the Olympics. depends on what is on.

Kathy

I took your advise and we made hot cocoa and popcorn and watched "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs". The kids enjoyed it, but I fell asleep half way through.

Holly woke up this morning at 4am to use the bathroom and I haven't been able to go back to sleep. I guess I'll try and get some computer work done while I'm awake and before everyone else wakes up. :thumbsup2

My arm/hand is starting to feel quite a bit better now. It's still swollen, but I'm able to move my fingers and wrist again....so far so good! It will probably be a couple more weeks before I know whether or not the surgery was a success....then I'll have to get ready for surgery on the other arm. :scared:

Greg,
you must be sleepy. You got the top of the page and didnt even brag about it:lmao:

Glad you had a good evening , even though it meant sleeping.

Our rain came back last night and it hasnt stopped all night and all morning.

I have laundry to do this morning and a bit of grocery shopping after Greg gets home this afternoon. Other than that it will be a quiet day.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE

I just read where the Magic didnt get into Port until early today and since the Wonder is docked the Magic did a 180 turn and parked on the side of the channel. Not sure if they had a place where people could get off or if they have to wait until the Wonder pulls out?
Here are some of the things they are doing for people that I could find.

free cell phone service to make flight changes
20% off a future cruise
assistance with rebooking anything booked through DCL originally
The people who are being shorted a day (they'll be skipping St Maarten) receive:

day passes to Epcot for today (includes transport from port area hotels for those who needed it)
$15pp dining card to use at WDW today
hotel for tonight (WDW if they are already there, otherwise high-end Orlando area hotels)
$20pp onboard credit to cover tonight's dinner
$100 per stateroom shipboard credit
20% refund on this cruise or a full refund if they opt to cancel

Afternoon all:

Wow, something about the ship.....I wouldnt have minded be stranded on the ship.....but I glad I wasnt the person waiting to get onto the ship....dont know if I would be happy about missing part of my cruise tho.....oh well chances you take when cruising in this crazy weather.

Kathy: poor puppies.....that is so cute the way the miss Greg.....

Well saw Kenny Rogers last nite. His show was really good....however, he just dosnt look all that good....and I dont mean because of his plastic surgery. He just didnt look in good health. He seemed like he was in pain, not sure if it was back or hip....he kinda seemed to be limping some...but I still had a good time and he did a good show.

still looking for furniutre for my family room. It's starting to wear on me now. I just want this room finished.

Other than that nothing else is really going on.

have a good evening all

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Denise, we saw Kenny in concert about 8 years ago and he looked old and feeble then, so I can't even imagine what he looks like now?! :confused3

Kathy, sounds like the folks cruising and getting ready to cruise on the Magic got some extra perks for their trouble. We always buy travel insurance, so I don't have to worry about what could go wrong. :thumbsup2

Janel and Chayce must of worn themselves out last night skiing because they both came home after church and took a 3 hour nap!

I have a feeling neither one is going to bed before midnight tonight. :rolleyes1

Have a good night everyone!

Happy monday everyone,

still rainy here but headed for a couple of 60 degree days later this week. I sure hope they are right. I would love a couple of warm days.

I got my supplies so I can finish up my scrapbook this week, I hope!!
Then i have 2 more to go!!:rolleyes1

Denise,
you gotta get out there and find that furniture!!! Maybe when you get back from visiting your grand daughter??

Greg,

how is the arm today?

Morning Jeff and Christine, Shell who are MIA this morning.:flower3:

Back later,

Kathy

Not MIA Kathy, just depressed.:sad2: Snow just started again. 4-8 more inches predicted. This isn't going to all melt until July.

Jeff,
This is getting rediculious isnt it. I really feel bad for all the states getting hit so hard this year. We are warmer and drier than usual here??I saw on the news on the weekend that 49 of the states have snow on the ground some where in their state right now. That is a first. Hawaii is the only one without snow.

Maybe your just getting this and next years snow all at once so next year will be a piece of cake;)

At least you have power which many dont have, thats good. I worry about people without power when its so cold.

Kathy

Greg,

how is the arm today?

Kathy

Hi Kathy,

I'm getting a little better each day. My incisions don't hurt as much as they did a few days ago, but still tender.

I'm sorta dreading going back in for surgery on the other arm in two weeks, because I'm not sure I'll be totally healed by the time we cruise next month. If I don't get it done before April 1 then I have to cough up another insurance deductible. :sad2:

I guess it will all work out one way or another though. :thumbsup2
