Haven't been around to post, but we are back from our mini Florida vacation. Visited with the parents, went to my brothers 15th wedding annivesary party. Their daughter is 5 months old, and got her first set of hearing aids. She is now hearing a few sounds! We are all so excited:banana:
Went to Disney for 2 days. Stayed at the music family suite. It was awesome, so much room. Visited Typhoon Lagoon, and the Magic kingdom. Great weather, and not crowded. Had a blast. It was my 3 year olds first time at Disney! Trip home was NOT fun! Ticket taker at the airport completely embarrassed me, and traumatised my 7 year old! She grabbed my daughters bag out of her hand and insisted it was to large to carry on the planemy daughter started to cry. No surprise that it fit! Then if that wasn't enough, she insisted we had to many carry on bags! We had a total of eight traveling. We tried to tell her we each had a bag for overhead, and one for under the seat! She refused to listen, called over another employee, he said we could not board til we checked 2 bags. He wouldn't listen either! The plane was completely full, so alot of people were standing around listening to the exchange. I finally lined everyone up, with the bags. They decided to let us on the plane, but not before the lady grabbed my daughters bag out of her hand AGAIN!!!!!!! insisting it was too large. My daughter was hysterical! She is a selective mute(special needs). We tried to tell her she had already done that, but again she didn't listen! I have never been treated so rudely! We were one of the last people to be on the plane. My poor daughter was afraid to get off the plane after we landed, she was afraid that "lady" would be there. Needless to say, I did file a complaint with the airline!
Sorry for the book. I hope our next flight will be better!
No great plans for the hoilday weekend, just packing up the backpacks:yay: School starts Tuesday!

Sorry to hear that...how sad for your daughter. Some of the TSA people are fine while others go way overboard. I just dont get it???
Security at Midway airport in Chicago isnt that bad, coming back thru colorado springs and I have to practically empty out my whole purse?

Well just going to hang out today and do a little cleaning....my bathroom....I just dont know why I hate cleaning the bathroom, so needless to say it gets pretty neglected:crazy2: and then takes me forever to clean..

Well everyone enjoy your day...

later

Oh I almost forgot.....

I may be going on a cruise in Jan or Feb of next year. Sue has tons of points with Royal Caribbean and has a "free" cruise for 2 people, so we are thinking of going.....what the heck, the price sure sounds right.:thumbsup2
will keep you posted on this.

Denise, that would be great a free cruise!!

Better watch out for Greg :lmao:
Of course you could adopt him if he adopts you first because his cruise is in December and your is later:thumbsup2

Cool 45 this morning even with the sun out.
Suppose to be 74 today, the warmest day of the next week:sad2:

Hope everyone is having a great Labor day.
Denise this is suppose to be a day away from work, so forget the bathroom, relax!!!

Ok, well now I need to go back and catch up! Things happened in the last couple of days and we are back on for the Oct 30th cruise. We had to cancel going on the one in Feb so we are back. :) No more changes, I swear! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!!! :goodvibes

Ahh, the sounds of silence. They little ones are in bed, dreaming of the first day of school tomorrow:rotfl: After 26 years and too many kids to count, I will have 2 hours, 3 days a week of NO KIDS! Won't know what to do with myself! Ron (DH) and I were foster parents for 18 years, and after our adoption of the last 2, we retired. so our baby will be in pre-school 3 days a week, and her brother will be in kindergarten. Kindergarten here is all day every other day(weird I know) So he will go Mon, Wed, and Fri.
For the first few weeks neglected household chores are on the list. Been trying to get my girls room painted. They want a Disney princess bedroom. Can't believe I found bedroom furniture in Disney princess theme! Got the dressers, wish I could find just the headboards, cause their bedroom is small. I think I may have to get just plain white headboards. With all the bedding it will look so cute.

You need to take picture of the room when its done and post them here so we can all see it too!!! PLEASE!! :flower3:

Tink11,
if you have to get white headboards, you may find a decal of a princess to put on it?

I did a Disney themed bedroom and found things in places I never thought would have Disney stuff. I googled it and back then J.C. Penny's , Sears, K-mart, Walmart. E-bay of course has a bit of everything.
I also took the wall paper border I put around the top of the walls on the light switches and outlets in the room. That really brought the extra touches to the room.

Have fun decorating :goodvibes

Cool here today, only 55 this morning and rain is coming today, tomorrow and probably the next day too.:sad2: I want more summer before fall sets in, after all it's only September.:rolleyes1
