Hi Princess Olivia,

I'm Terry (happytime) :) and DH Mike are also going on this adventure with you. We are in a rather large party with our DD Angela, her boyfriend, their 2 sons (12, 1), my DS Jonathan, his wife, their son (8), and another DD Amy (single). Then inlcude 1st DD's boyfriend's family, which is also ...um...another 6 individuals, one is a 10 year old boy. Total number going at this point is 15. 11 adults, 4 boys (one will be 12 months old).

My littlest grandson, the one that's 12 months old, is also going to be 1 year the week before the cruise. His name is Andrew (Drew) and his birthday is Oct. 18. :thumbsup2

Welcome to the forum. There are many very nice people on this board and you'll enjoy interacting with us (in other words, a fun group).

I'm in charge at the moment in organizing a scrapbook exchange, not to confused with the fish extender gift exchange. It is a separate thing altogether. I'll be posting information on the scrapbook soon. If you would like to be a part of this exchange, just wait until I post all the necessary information so that you can decide at that point. ;)

This particular cruise will be our 2nd with Disney, our 8th total. :dance3:We've cruised with Premier (the Big Red Boat), NCL, Carnival (2x), Celebrity (awesome cruise), and RCL. :cool2:
It's nice to meet you.

Terry

Hi also to DaParkers, Mickeygolf, Micheme, dinseymagicgirl, and CocoaCup. I jsut realized I forgot to say hi to you all. Welcome to our cruise forum. I look forward to getting to know each of you in the next coming months.

DaParkers -- I love the way you're going to tell your son. I hope you have your camera ready when you drive up to the port. :cool1:

Mickeygolf -- I see you have a couple boys that will be my grandson's age (12). That's awesome. Everyone should have a great time learning a new ship and imagine all the fun it will be for all of us to discover!!! :dance3:

Micheme
-- Congrats on your upcoming anniversary and welcome to your 1st Disney cruise. Be prepared to experience a truly wonderful experience. I was amazed at the way Disney as a whole really knows how to make one comfortable and at ease plus entertain us at the same time. Awesome. :goodvibes

Disneymagicgirl -- Welcome to the forum. I also can't wait for this cruise!! It's really bad here at my house. I may have to go the doctor soon to help keep me rooted to the ground. I mean the cruise is 9 months away and I'm so ready to go NOW!! :lmao:

CocoaCup -- I know you're going to have a super cabin. Cat. 9 or better. We were very fortunate when we went GTY on Royal Caribbean. We were given a mid-ship, mid-deck handicap room, which was HUGE. I can only hope you get the bestest (deliberate misspelling here) this ship has to offer. :)

As you might have read in the above post, I'm in charge of organizing the scrapbooking exchange. I won't go into all the detail at this time, but know I will be sending out information soon.

Nice to meet you on this thread and I also look forward to getting to know you all better as the months go on.

Welcome!!!

Terry

Terry- How FUN!! Such a large group. Maybe Drew and Nolan will be friends :goodvibes. Nolan was born the 13th and is a super sweet baby. I'm hoping Cameron will meet some boys his age. Maybe your grandson who is 12. Boys this age are tricky. I think he'll have major XBOX 360 withdrawl!!

I'll look forward to hearing the deatils about the scrapbook. I'd also like to know more about the FE's. If I end up not partcipating it won't be due to a lack of want but to a lack of time. Chasing Carson who's VERY active while trying to tend to the baby makes everyday fly by but also makes for a long day. All you moms KWIM!! Olivia is great at this stuff so she may pick up my slack!!

Welcome Princess Olivia and family:goodvibes

If you find yourself short of time for FE gifts, just do what other busy moms do, buy candy or gun and throw a few in each FE. No muss no fuss and your still having fun. In todays busy world many dont have time to make things.
We are not fussy here, just want everyone to have fun and particiapte if they want to.

I am Kathy and Dh is Greg. We have done 20 DCL cruises so far and 1 Carnival. Kids are grown with families of their own. So its just us old grandparents coming this time.

Watch for FE and scrapbooking info to come.
Shell (woogal) is making a cruise mates list of everyone on the cruise and who wants to do the FE exchange too. You can PM her your family info so she will add you to the list. please include things like your cabin number and dining time too, plus your posting name, city and state your from etc..
Shell will let you know everything she needs. The list will be e-mailed to everyone.

Kathy

Hi, We are joining you all on our first cruise ever! Me (Lesley), DH Mark, DS Owen (5), DS Spencer (4), and DD little Zoe Rose who will be 1 when we cruise. We love everything Mickey so I have been dying to take a DC, managed to twist my Dh's arm enough to get him to agree this year. Want to take the trip while the magic is still there for the little ones. We just saw Disney on stage and my oldest said to me after "Mom, I can't believe Mickey is real!":wizard:

Welcome to all the new families!!! Everyone joining up is getting me even more excited for this trip!!!

I watched the sail away from the port webcam because for some reason, Two Palms and Raddisson cams won't work for me. :sad1: I'll just have to try and find it on youtube sometime.

Woke up late today... DD woke me up at 7:55 and school starts at 8:05. :scared1: OOPS!!! I forgot to reset my alarm from yesterday when I had it set for the sail away... :rolleyes1 She made it to school luckily though, and on time even. She just didn't do all of her usual morning routine. I offered to let her stay home though but she didn't want to. Not much else going on here today, DS and I are going to chop veggies for dinner tonight at my BFF's house and we have to call MIL today as it's her birthday, but that's about it.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!! :goodvibes

WELCOME to Lesley and family!!

Great to have yet another new family along. This week we have had several new families join the thread here.:cool1:

I have a favor to ask of all the new people and all the old posters, just for the next few weeks if everyone could sign their posts by name I would appreciate it, other wise I will not learn your names, there are just too many to remember without a reminder each time you post.

My old brain thanks you all;)

Lesley I am Kathy and DH is Greg. Nice to meet you.

I have posted this many times but Shell (woogal) is putting together list of everyone on board as she always does. So if you would PM woogal and give her all your names and ages of kids she will add you to the list. ONLY people on the list will receive a copy of the list.
It is always full of extra info for a fun cruise. Such as meet times, FE exchange etc so dont miss out.

ANYONE who hasnt contacted woogal yet, please do.
Most sent the following info:

photo
first names of everyone and kids ages
e-mail
cabin number
any special occassions your celebrating on board
dining time
If you want to do the FE exchange
city and state your from
how many cruises you've done

Looking forward to chatting with everyone,

Kathy

Welcome to our cruise, Lesley! You're gonna love it! If you go back to the last page, you'll see another family with a 1 year at time of cruise, too. Then you'll see that we also have a grandson who will be 12 months with us. My grandson will be 1 on Oct. 18 and his name is Drew. :)

We look forward to meeting everyone as I believe this will be an awesome trip! :goodvibes

I am heading up a scrapbooking exchange, though I haven't yet sent out the information. Keep looking for it...my hope is by this coming weekend to have something on it posted on this thread.:rolleyes1

:cheer2: Today is my birthday...so the Scrapbooking info won't be today. LOL:cheer2:

There is also going to be a Fish Extender exchange on board, but I'm not in charge of it. See the previous post for news on that end.

Thanks everyone for your well-wishes. I had a very nice day in spite of it being in the dead of winter. Weather here in St. Louis was in the 30's (not bad at all considering what we've been through this month LOL).

Had dinner with my hubby, daughter/boyfriend and their two sons. We ended up at Red Lobster, though that wasn't our intended place to go for the evening. :wizard: But since it was my birthday (I kidded my DH by telling him that it's become a national holiday..hehe) and that I had a yearning for fish, he made the decision to splurge a litte and knew where to take me for the festive event. So I had my favorite ...lobster, crab legs, and shrimp. Yum!!! When I mentioned fish, I had forgotten about Red Lobster. I figured I'd have some salmon or talapia at wherever we ended up. Love his choice better, though. :)

Our talk of course revolved around the cruise and discussion on Atlantis in Nausau. One would think we're going on the trip next week instead of in 9 months. But we are all very upbeat and excited over ALL the newbies that's coming aboard with us. :upsidedow We want them to have the best experience and so we are trying to cover all the angles (money, excursions, etc) and to plan for the trip...or at least have something in place...if only if it's on the planning stages at this point.

I have an awesome family. All my children called and/or texted and showed me how much they loved me. I am truly blessed. :grouphug:

Hey, All! Just checking in. I've been following the Dream with interest, but haven't had a chance to get on this board for a while. Welcome to the new families.

I will be cruising with my two DDs (will be 5 and turning 8 at cruise time), DH, his sister and her DH, and 3 DDs (1, 5, & 7), my MIL and her sister, along with the sister's DH, DD, and DGS (9).

I starting to think about the FE. Does anyone have a count of how many are participating? I am panicking a little that it will be either very time consuming and/or expensive to be a part of. Any words of wisdom?

Also for you veterans (this is our first cruise), do you stay near the port or the airport if you fly in the night before the cruise? And what time do you plan to check in for minimum waiting and maximum boat time?

Thanks for the help.

Sarah

Sounds like you had a great day Terry! I'm sure my MIL would agree with you on today needing to be a holiday as it's her birthday too! :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Friday!
