We love to have dinner and a drink at one of the restaurants (ie FishLips) and watch :dance3: the other ships (especially disney ships) pull out in the evening. Gets us sooo ready for our departure the next day.

Have met up with some wonderful people at meet and greet on the night before we sail.

That sounds so fun! :goodvibes I wonder what ships will be leaving on Friday? (hops over to look....only Monarch of the Seas will be there that night).

For those curious it will only be us and the Carnival Dream on Saturday.
And heck, since I'm there....

Oct 31 in Key West with no other ships, port load 2500.

Nov 2 Grand Cayman with Norwegian Dawn, Carnival Legend, Carnival Valor, Century, Aurora port load 14749

Nov 3 Cozumel with Norwegian Dawn, Grandeur Of The Seas, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Legend, Crown Princess...port load 15611

Nov 5 Castaway Cay Bahamas Port Load 2500

And when we return we will be at Port Canaveral with the Dream and also the Costa Atlantica.

That info can be found on Cruise TT.

:goodvibes

Janet and I will Arrive early on a Thursday after a two day drive. I hope to watch the Wonder leave port and then have a day of rest before I get on board to watch the Magic Leave port. So close yet so far!! Lois

We're driving down too but spending the week before the cruise at WDW. We'll stay near the port the night before (still haven't decided where - looking for a hotel that sleeps 3 in an accessible room) and then board the ship as early as possible Saturday morning.

I had debated on extending our Polynesian stay so we check out Saturday morning and then drive to port but then it ends up costing a lot more since the Poly is more expensive and then we would have to pay to park at the port. I'm not thrilled with switching hotels for 1 night but it does make sense.

We are driving :drive: this trip. Actually, DH does all the driving. He says he'll let me drive a bit if we have a couple extra hours to kill. Guess I'll never get a speeding ticket.

We split the trip into 2 days (sometimes stay in a hotel...sometimes visit a friend in Charleston...sometimes do a few days at Disney's HHI Resort) and will stay at BCV for 5 nights then move to the Radisson at the port for the night before. We leave the car there, and they transport us to and from the port. Very convenient. Have done it twice before, and worked perfectly.

Hope to do MNSSHP pirate: during our visit to the World. Know some of you plan to do this, but I hope to see if there will be discounted tickets for any of the nights we are there. Got a discount last year, and we love to save the $.

Hi Joanie,

We're going to be in Hershey this Friday/Saturday. Do you know if there are any discounts available for springtime in the park?

It seems that Jersey Week is Nov 4,5, & 6 in 2010. I have no idea if there is anything special.

Jersey Week is when all the public schools in Jersey are closed for a combo of election day and teacher's convention. All the good teachers flock to Florida instead of convention.

Wow I should almost write about my trip! We have changed plans yet again! We went from flying to driving and then this weekend my family said I could stay at Bonnet Creek on their TS points. In a way, its a bummer that I won't be able to go to CBR, but then again, I have sorta figured out that there is no benefit to staying on site. No EHMs for the days we are going and the real kicker... $40>$380. I m starting to get that worried free vacation in mind. I m ready to sit back and relax a bit. I feel bad cause I have probably driving my DU agent nuts with all my changes and then this. I guess they are used to it?!

/hides

One thing I am struggling with is adding more to this vacation. I told my wife that if it was just the cruise, no biggie, fly/drive in, and then fly/drive home. But when we got the GAD tickets, I immediately wanted to add more... LOTS more. Since I have never been on a cruise, I can't help but think that may be that isn't a vacation. Idk, sounds crazy I guess. Not to mention, my son is 7 (when we go), and I keep thinking he won't be 7 forever. When we come back at 9, will he even care about Disney? lol. Why do they have to grow up!?

So you WILL be driving this time? :) Yes, kids grow too fast. My youngest turns 7 this summer, he's my baby and will always be. My two teenagers, hmmmmm well they are teens, one of who is giving us a lot of grief (for lack of a better term at the moment), but they are still our children and we LOVE them to pieces. Don't know if we'll be leaving the two teens home alone while we cruise next fall (they will be 19 and almost 18 by then), DH says "NO WAY!" (Guess he remembers when he was a teen, hee hee)

Well we did our Volunteer event this past weekend as part of the Disney Give A Day Get A Disney Day Promotion. Supposedly within the next two weeks, we'll receive our park vouchers by email..... Looking forward to that!
And the GREAT news is that my 6 year old had SO much fun selling that Daffodils for the Canadian Cancer Society, that he wants to do it again next year KNOWING he won't get Disney tickets in return. So this was Well worth the time, for the lesson's learned about giving back! (My 12 year old didn't get the same message though. he was quite board though, it was a slow night on Friday night when he and I had our shift. DH and DS6 had their shift saturday during the day.)

I gave my official notice to my supervisor this past weekend too, so now I have just 9 more weeks to go, and then EVERY weekend will be a VACATION for me! What a weight off my shoulders, after thinking of this for months!

The FE gifts that I ordered were delivered yesterday. Now I just have to "tweak" them a bit and we will be all set!:goodvibes

Yeah, we are driving down. What finally sealed the deal was last night we found about a quarter inch of water in the basement. The water heater is leaking. I was running pretty tight margins with the vacation. I built rainy day money in but not to overcome this challenge. So we will joining the road warriors to hopefully a very nice vacation..

WOW, just found out I will owe just over $2000.00 on my home based income this year, GULP, thats a lot more than I expected even in my wildest dreams :scared1: I think I'll go have a panic attack now. DH isn't going to be too happy when I inform him HIS REFUND will have to cover my taxes. So I guess really we break even. Glad I've quit my partime job, as thats what put me over into the next income tax bracket, errggghhhhh!

Man I can't wait for our fall vacation, I want it NOW!

Me too! It is raining again here and has been for two days now. Everything is flooding and it is wet, cold and grey. I was reading other people's Western cruise trip reports and it just made me long for October to get here sooner.

Right now my kids are fighting....DH is dealing with them. They are home on spring break and have been trapped in the house since Sunday night. It is starting to get to them.

And on top of all of this, I am trying to mentally prepare myself for my birthday tomorrow :scared1:
