Boy I just don't get that I find the DIS to be addicting. Maybe they just havn't find the right thread. Hopefully the face book group will allow them to become invloved within their comfort zone. Lois

No, they are just not interested. They have both been on 8 DCL cruises, there was a thread for each, and they weren't interested in any of them.

In all honesty, they are not "joiner" type people. They have no problem sailing on a ship with 2,000+ people and not knowing any of them except maybe cast members they have met in the past.

They are both Disney fanatics, but not as bad as me.

I think this is a great idea! My wife and step-daughter don't find the Disboards that interesting, but they both have Facebook accounts this will be a great way to get them involved. Thanks.

Wonderful to see you all on the other side!!! We already have 10 members in our little group! Please feel free to start adding to the page, (I think) it is set up so any group member can add to and edit Events, Photos, etc. If anyone has any questions or if something is not set up to allow editing or posting let me know and I'll try to fix it...I definitely want it so everyone can contribute. So go on and have fun!

Also anyone who is interesting in also being an Admin, just let me know. I don't know what the Admins can do besides approving and deleting members but I'm happy to pass along some of the power...LOL!

Sorry about there not being anywhere to enter the Dis username. (This is my first time making a group!) The likelihood of us getting any rogue members is pretty slim anyway, especially with it being a closed group.

For those of you who are on Facebook, I created a "Group" page for the cruise. It is a closed group which means I will have to approve all requests to join. That way I can be sure it is exclusive to those of us cruising and a "safe" place to exchange information pertaining to cruise activities and events. Our group page will be family friendly and appropriate for all ages.

When you request admission to the group or if you friend me up be sure to give me your DIS username. (I won't be able to approve anyone I can't verify is involved with our cruise meet!) I don't have much on there yet, but it will grow as the group does and be a great resource for information.

Also....been seeing something about t-shirts on our thread. Could some kind soul help re-educate me on this subject? Per se, is someone going to making these.....or is there a graphic we can use to make our own....?

I guess that 2011 will be the firt year of vacation with just our youngest DD, I cant imagine what we will do yet. I suppose we will take a friend of hers along so she isnt "boared"
But i think we are thinking along the lines of the grand canyon, or newyork and niagra falls........also would like to slip in a trip to the Mall of america sometime before DD graduates.

My daughter Adriane (who will be 12 when we cruise) actually started a kid's thread awhile back, but it is probably is on page 3 or 4, since at the time no one else joined in at the time. I will try to find it and bump it up to the first page. She will be happy to have others join the thread as she enjoys meeting others before the cruise too.

Quick update on Bella.........She is doing sooooo gooood.
We got her the poochi bells to ring when she has to go to the potty and she casught on in about 3 days. Rarley has an accident.

She is still tiny only 7 pounds. She is sleeping in bed with us and my other Dog and her are playhing GREAT together.

I am 99% done my costume 100% done DD @80% done Dh and just can find what i need for DS he may have to change his plans i have one more store to look at tonight and then he needs to make another plan.

I am off next Saturday to cook all our food and get it ready to go.
Then SUNDAY WE LEAVE HURRAY!!!!!!!!

Oh...we are totally decorating both of ours! That is one of my favorite things to do on the cruise!!! We had way too many magnets last time, and then our 'Secret Mickey" made more for us, we had almost both entire doors covered!

Last cruise I was on, it was funny to see the various daily messages I received as I also update my message board daily.
