We got tickets for Tuesday, 10/28/10, and made an early dinner reservation at The Plaza.

OOPS!!! I stand corrected...I should have a light on and my glasses when it's dark and I'm trying to see the calendar. October 26th is when we have MNSSHP and The Plaza scheduled.

We decided not to do MNSSHP this year. We are early arriving on 10/28 and we are going to hang out at AKL for a while. After that, we are going to Downtown for dinner at T-Rex. We are spending the day at MK on 10/29 and then having dinner at Chef Mickey's. On 10/30, we are having breakfast at Boma and then off to the ship!

Hi everyone! I just finished booking this cruise!!! We are celebrating our 17th wedding anniv. I am Dawn and DH is Brian. We are cat 11, GTY, they were unable to assign us a room, only could book GTY. So I guess our room number is a surprise for later!
We live in Kissimmee so we will just drive from home on the morning of the cruise.
We are booked with DVC points so the GTY status surprised me, because all our former DVC cruise bookings we got a room assignment and I do not believe they upgrade DVC bookings most of the time!
So excited to go on this cruise!!!

Welcome!!! This cruise is pretty full so I am not surprised that you got GTY status. My dd and nephew just booked last week through a TA and also got an 11GTY. I have been on a Cat 9 GTY since January. I keep checking but nothing yet.

But, I was able to just book my Palo Brunch and Palo High Tea!! Yeah!!! I actually forgot that last night at midnight I could have done it (we are Platinum) but forgot until just now. As of today there was availability for everything. So, any other Platinums out there you can now book your spa, Palo and excursions as long as you are paid in full.

Congratulations on your Palo reservations. Have not been able to get in before, but we are hoping to snag a brunch ressie this time around. Only our 4th Disney cruise, so we have to wait a while to book.

I know this was mentioned before, but I can't find the answer now. The Group Palo Brunch..... we book it ourselves individually I know, but do we have it somehow linked to the main group leader? (oops, just found my answer.... book it then pm podsnel to let her know and she will link us all together)

On Another note, CALL me CRAZY, but I've actually started packing!!!! I was out shopping this morning for some cruise casual/summer wear, and for the first time in my life, had a shopping spree where I just shopped for Myself!! Usually I'm shopping for the kids, or DH or something the house needs ect.... and I neglect my own wardrobe. Not this time, It was ALL FOR ME! I've kept a few items out for now, but the rest is in my suitcase, being saved for the cruise! I have a suitcase in my room, being packed for our cruise!! What a good feeling that is! )

Judy, you are just too orgainized!!! Good for you, that's great, i'm glad you did something for yourself. I know you are always doing so much for others.
I just paid off our balance!!!!!!
We were away all week in Baltimore for a Technology conference for DS13.
I haven't had much activity on the boards lately as I was suffering from Gallstones.
I will be having surgery later this month.
Looks like the Cozumel excursion is filling up which will be great.

For the Lanyards, i'm fine with whatever you decide.

Did anyone decide on their MnSsHp tickets yet? I know we budgeted it for about 185 so when they came out to $200. I can live with i, but we are still undecided. Anyone have thoughts?

We just got our MNSSHP tickets for Friday 10/29. My kids don't remember the first MNSSHP we went to so it will be like their first time. The last time we went was in Sept so I am concerned about the crowds this time though....

We were there on 10/31 last year, it was crowded but, managable. Make sure that you get there early, I think it was 4pm that you could first get in. We hit a lot of rides before the party with not much of a wait. The party was fun, the lines for candy went quickly. Parades were crowded but, we were able to see it all. I don't think you are "CRAZY" because I have special storage boxes and in there I know that I have things for special events such as Christmas items and a special one for Disney parks that hold our fan , books and any information we have reserved for future trips

Call me "Crazy" because I keep lists of what I need for Flower and Garden, Chrisimas or Food and Wine.

My guess is that there are a lot of us out there.

We were there on 10/31 last year, it was crowded but, managable. Make sure that you get there early, I think it was 4pm that you could first get in. hope everyone has a great Holiday weekend! We are going to the Magig Kingdom later today to see the 4th of July fireworks!! (they are showing on the 3rd and 4th)

This will be Brian and I's first Disney cruise alone. All our other Disney cruises were with another couple or family!

We already know what we want to do in Key West (Irish Kevin's) and G.C. (Rum Point Beach Break). We have friends that may be in Cozumel the same day as us (on the Carnival Legend) so that may make our choice in Cozumel for us.
I have been dying to go to Rum Point for years now. We were on DCL several yrs ago when I had a Rum Point excursion booked and we were re-routed to eastern due to a Tropical system.
no other cruiseline does a Rum Point only trip, they all go to stingrays also and we have done that, no real desire to return!

Back in Nov 05 we went on the DCL Turkey Day Cruise (the week over Thanksgiving). After the cruise we stayed in WDW for a couple of days and got to see the Mickey Very Merry Christmas Party which was a lot of fun so we expect the same for MNSSHP.

We are checking into BLT on the 28th so we bought tickets for the 29th. We thought it would be a great way to segue into our cruise. The plan is Friday night party, Chef Mickey's Saturday morning, DCL bus ride to port and then it's Cruise Time!

A point to take note of when making Cozumel plans, is that the day we are there is one of the "highest number of cruise ships ships in port days". We are one of 6 ships in port, meaning approximately 15,000 cruise ship passengers descending upon Cozumel!
This is the biggest reason many of us have booked Nachi Cocom. They have a maximum of 100 people per day on their private beach. The cost includes lunch (I've heard reports of "as much as you want") and an open bar".
Info for that and the website if you are interested can be found on page one. I honestly don't know if there is still room, as last check we were at 70 or 80 some of us booked already, and that doesn't account for Non dis people that might have booked as well.
