Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

I have two for him to choose from. I'll let him pick tomorrow.

Sherri and Pudo, you both are Awesome!!! Looks like rain all day tomorrow for Washington. Good thing I brought umbrellas, and one of them is my HUGE Mickey Umbrella DH got me on our First trip to the World!

It was a surprise and just awesome driving through the Leigh High Tunnel, the boys thought so too! Along the way, boys being boys in the back of the van ..... One of them "Let One", then the youngest starts yelling "Ohhhhh, the SMELL,,, I Can't Breathe, I'm going to DIE" Giggle Hysterically all the time, then he asked DH to open the back window. DH did. A short time later, the little one says, "Oh finally, all the stinky air is gone". DH thought that meant he could now close the Automatic Window, which he did. Then we hear Screaming coming from the back. DS7 had his Thumb stuck in the window!! Good thing I brought an ice pack for our bagel sandwiches!

At my Aunts, there is this Yellow Nape Amazon Parrot named Molly. She is a riot! The kids get goofing around, playfighting, and the bird starts to LAUGH, I mean really really LAUGH!! Oh my I am SO tired now, and trying to get the boys to go to bed but they don't want to.

See you tomorrow Sheri!!

Ya gotta love "road trips". Always lots of fun stories to tell. You need to include this in a trip report. Keeping posting all the way!! Save travels.

See you tomorrow & DC is like WDW, when it rains there are fewer people around so sightseeing is more enjoyable!

One word: BOYS! :rotfl::rotfl2:

I heard that to keep the sewer smell down, keep water in the floor drain in the bathrom. If is is not used, it dries up and lets sewer gas back up.:confused3

I can't believe how quickly this trip is coming now!! We haven't started packing yet (eeks!) and I still have to do laundry too. We need to get all our packing done on Monday and Thursday since we are working laaate on Tuesday, have a play to go to Wednesday, and have our in-laws coming in on Friday. And I have a lot at work to keep me occupied until it's time to go. We meant to do some packing this weekend but ended up doing all sorts of running around to get stuff for the trip... and I still need to go to the bank too. I hope everyone else's preparations are going a bit better than ours :rotfl2:

Going to start trying on and laying out clothes today...luckily we have the spare bedroom upstairs since DD is in Rome so we can use that as packing central. Just 2 more work days left (Monday and Wed) with Tues and Thurs as my appointment days...hair, nails, bank, etc. We are leaving about 4 am on Friday morning to head to the airport. A week from now we all will be in Key West!!!

Safe travels to all that are leaving this week.:thumbsup2

MJ

What airport are you leaving from?? We are going from Stewart this time.... 8am flight. We will be leaving the house by 6!:scared1:

Basically all waste water (sink, shower, toilet) gives off a gas. A "trap" prevents the gas from traveling back up and out of the pipe.

The trap is a u-shaped or in the case of this shower illustration a p-shaped pipe (grey colored pipe). If the water in the trap evaporates or leaks out the gas will flow out of the pipe.

I have some good news for Deck 6 FE participants. TSA has fully examined this box of FE's and all is well! You have to wonder what they thought when they opened the box up. They only opened this box and not the other 2 boxes. They must have all exrayed the same. What did they think of so many gallon zipper locked bags with names, #'s, each a little different, all colorful and such?

We are here! Spent the day in Epcot yesterday. Lots of food choices to choose from around the world during the Food and Wine Festival. Took someone's advice up here and shared the samples and tried not to fill up too quickly. This was our first time at the Food and Wine Festival. We didn't realize that some activities required reservations. Next time, we will know, although I don't think I could have paid the $90 p/p fee to attend Sweet Sundays, a full brunch put on by Gale Gand, an executive pastry chef and partner for Tru from Tru in Chigago, I am sure it was yummy! CM told us some people come year after year for this special demonstration.

Near record heat temps here too. See everyone at the meet on Saturday!

Can any of you experienced cruisers tell me what we need to bring in terms of paperwork? Specifically, do we need to print the papers that we filled out online on DCL's website? Also, on DCL's website, it says that I am not fully checked-in presumably because I haven't filled out the flight information, but since I'm driving, that form is not applicable to me. Any advice!

Thanks so much! Our whole family is incredibly excited!

As far as the paperwork goes - there is one paper you need to sign - but if you forget to bring it (or can't find it like I did the last time) - they just print it out and have you sign it :)

Yes, everything we tried was great. Expecially the Bombay Sapphire and tonic at Rose and Crown.

Yes, it's quite warm here. Much like it was last year. We plan to spend much of the day by the pool (SAB) then more eating around the World and listening to Billy Ocean. Night Ranger was very good and very loud last night.

Part of our FE gifts had to come in from the car because of the temps. Just have to keep DH away from them if his sweet tooth acts up. :rotfl2::rotfl:

MJ,

I don't live far from you. Are you flying out of HPN?

Donna

Night Ranger was very good and very loud last night.

Lucky you! That is the one band that I would have really liked to hear.

When I checked the weather forecast for Friday in Orlando it originally said it was scattered thunder storms but now it says partly sunny and 82 degrees. Let's hope it holds.:woohoo:

Just spoke to my SIL who lives there with my MIL. She said it should be sunny and in the 90's on Friday and that we should be prepared to be hot.:yay:

She's pretty peeved about it actually. She is waiting for fall weather and hasn't been able to break out a sweater yet!

Thanks guys, that stuff is good to know. We've never experienced that problem (thankfully) on any of our cruises before so it's good to know there is something we can do to help should it occur.

Thanks so much for your tireless work Janice! Have a safe trip down and see you and Linda in a few days! :woohoo:

Hilarious!! I'm sure at the port they just roll their eyes and think "Oh geez, its one of THOSE people" LOL but TSA is probably not too familiar with seeing that sort of thing! :rotfl2:

Glad you are enjoying your vacation so far. I Love Food and Wine but we aren't going this year.. :(

Yep, it's been hot for sure, and we haven't had a drop of rain over here in weeks.

Yep, just make sure you have your cruise contract, which is the one page to print when you finish your online check in. But they will have one for you to sign there if you forget- no worries! :thumbsup2

Yeah that was me that put in the order for hot! Sorry gang! I was pretty worried when I realized we don't really have any cooler weather clothes and that I made the girls sundresses for MNSSHP. Looks like I've got nothing to worry about...;)

The extended forecast looks good for embarkation (though warm) and Key West, beyond that is dicey (60% chance of showers in Cayman and Cozumel but it is pretty far out still ) My mom just got back from her Bahamas cruise yesterday and she said the water doen there is perfect- just a tad chilly once you get in, then wonderful as you get used to it (ie not bathwater, no icicles)!

On one of the threads I subscribe to one of the 10/16 cruise posters said she will be scanning her Navigators. If I see them, I will be sure to put a link to them here so we can all see if anything has changed.

We aren't going to F&W either :( We only have time for one park and the kids picked Magic Kingdom, can you believe it?

Someone else attempted to post all of the navigators (erikalynn) through google docs, but when I tried to click on them, no docs came up...just the google.doc sign in page.
