Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Don't want to rub it in but we will already be on board so we are unable to help get the candy onboard unless you can get it to the CIS the week before. I began the process of packing yesterday. We only have about two weeks before we pull out. Still hoping to know the 2012 dates while on board so I can book a dummy date.

You may have missed some of my posts in regard to 2012. The dates are supposed to be announced on the 18th then go on sale the next day.

UGGHhhh. I looked high and low for a Jedi Costume for DS7. When I finally found one, it was $60.00!!! :scared1: I just can't justify spending that much on a Halloween costume. The stores only have adult size patterns, Sooooo, after taking a close look at it, it seems like a bathrobe style top, with or without a hood, and then two wide strips of fabric that hang over the shoulders, down past the waist and held in place with a belt? Stick a light sabre in his hands and presto..... SOooooo, I think I'm going to attempt to MAKE ONE afterall. We looked at other costumes too, but there was NOTHING he liked. If I happen to not accomplish his costume, then he'll just have to be a pirate on board, twice. :)

I saw patterns and instructions on the internet just today when I was looking for another item. Just check Jedi costume patterns. Hope you find something. Did one years ago for my grandson, and it was pretty simple.

Did anyone else get a phantom refund? We just got $31.32 refunded to our credit card today from DCL. Wonder what it's from

Yes we did too. I got nearly $50 back. 18 days till we leave. Big things are happening. A lot of which I can't share do to the fact that my wife reads these boards. It seems like time is flying now. We only have this weekend to do anything do to my cousin getting married next Saturday. SO these last 18 days are going to fly. I haven't even got on the ball yet about the door magnets even though there are a ton I like. So much little stuff to do!

Oh, I started looking on line for a pattern, then ended up at EBAY and actually found a full costume for $23.00!! :yay: Don't know why I never looked there in the first place! So I'll have that shipped to my aunts and it'll be waiting there for him!! Now on to the FE I'm making!! :)

I just got a few more Alien Green Mickeys from Home Depot to make more luggage tags.

Any news on what is happening in dry dock?

We are staying at the Radisson the night before. Very close. Will be glad to help if we can.

Thanks Joanie! Hopefully between Judy, Beth and I. what we can carry on and what I can put in my checked bags and what I can mail (2 staterooms=2 packages I'm thinking.) we should be OK. The chocolate is the biggest hassle, and there is a lot of it.

I'll keep you all updated as I begin to get things organized and packages ready, etc. in case we need your help! Thanks so much!!!:goodvibes

Joanie did we have a time yet for the Fishlips meet?

Now I'm wishing I had signed up for TOT!!! :cool2:

Mmmhmmm, I'll be watching for the extra tall kids trying to sneak in. ;)

Great! The less work the better I always say!!! :)

No, haven't heard much at all. The WBTA folks said they saw minor work going on the day they left- the usual stuff like woodwork and tile coming aboard. I've heard they plan to reconfigure the drink station to be like the Wonder's (which I haven't seen a pic of since it was changed). I'm guessing the rest is minor touchups, paint carpets, etc.

We did not get a refund from DCL. Bummer. Could it be some sort of fuel surcharge refund? (we got ours as OBC we've been told)

Of course as soon as I post something I always find more info:

RE: the dry dock (from another thread)

Just off the Magic this morning. She is heading to Freeport this afternoon for what was described as a mostly maritime drydock. Things guests will notice after dry dock will be the new marble floor in the atrium, new drink station on deck 9 (similar to the Wonder), some stateroom bathrooms will get updated and other usual cleaning and scrubbing.

:thumbsup2 Way to go! I'm sure your DS will be thrilled.

I was informed that the credit was because government taxes went down. :confused3, but

Same thing here, we got back $62 and some change. I asked what government? My TA didn't ask.

I have seen port taxes and fees change from when you book to when you set sail. More than likely either Grand Cayman or Mexico's taxes decreased (maybe both) so we got a refund.

I was hoping for something a little more dramatic too. Some sort of interesting surprise.

We were on the first cruise on the Wonder after drydock last year. So, we got to see the new, enclosed area of Cove Cafe. That was kind of cool.

Just for future reference, it is ZACH not "Zaxh"
Thanks What you did is awsome!:yay:

I had to go to work during the day today to submit some paperwork (I work night shift) and there was a DCL bus in the parking lot! Was so strange to see it at work! Now I do work at Fl Hosp. Celebration so it was not so far away from where it belonged, but still strange to see!
