Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Were the boards under maintenance last night? I wasn't able to get onto them.
Currently we are half way home, in another motel in the middle of nowhere. We have no cell phone reception here, yet again though, free WiFi! DS17 was spoiled beyond belief this weekend. Looks like I won't be travelling with a free and clear credit card for our cruise! Oh well. He's settled and Happy, and on our way home I remembered that we forgot to remember while there, to get him some toothpaste! I held back the tears till I was saying my final goodbye, and even then was able to stop them pretty quickly. Till I remembered about the toothpaste, while on the highway, a few hours out. Funny how that was the trigger to the endless flow from my eyes. ;) So now I already have my the first care package all planned out, that I'll send him by the end of this week!

Welcome to the new comers! And as for the late joiners to the FE's, I can gift to them too, not the ones I've almost finished up for the main group, but I have other treats I can do, so do count me on both lists.

Jeff, thanks for adding my newest teen son to the teen roll call list. He won't be emailing though, as he won't find out about this trip till we are on our way to FL.
I'll be posting the rest of our photos tommorow. DS has a fabulous view of an Amazing looking mountain from his dorm window. I'll get that one up too!:)

Aw Judy, we have been away this weekend, so just catching up on your travels. I hope by the time you read this you are home safe and well.

I'm so glad the trip went well, and that Geoffrey seems to be settling. A big hug for you,, I got all teared up when I read about the toothpaste bless you.

A huge :welcome:to all the newcomers to the cruise. It's so great every time I check this thread, more people are joined in! Can't wait to meet everybody.

I got it!!

How about I start the list for "Fish Extender Group B"? Leslie, when you see this you can feel free to take over - or I can continue it . . .

Have a great Monday everyone ::yes::

I thought I would let you know about our weekend away, we just arrived back from Liverpool late yesterday evening.

I appreciate not everyone will have a clue what I'm talking about, but we are huge soccer fans in our house, especially Seren who is 11 next week. We had planned a trip to Liverpool for a few weeks so we could watch a game, but we got really lucky and won Seren a package to be a mascot for the game. She was so made up, Liverpool are are huge club over here - I guess it would be like being a mascot for the Cowboys or the Patriots (no offence intended - read into that your favourite team!).

We didn't know which player she would get, but we knew it would be a once in a lifetime experience. We had such a great day, we had a day at the club, and then she completely lucked out and got to be Steven Gerrard's mascot - he is one of the biggest soccer players in the UK, and captain's the England team at the moment too. He is Seren's hero, and I am just so excited for her that she got to meet him and walk out onto the pitch with him. Anyway, here are some pictures....

How exciting! I got shivers looking at the pictures, especially the last one with his hand on her shoulder guiding her down the line. She must have been over the moon.

I know I posted on the UK Community Kristie, but I thought that again I'd say what amazing photos, and what a fantastic experience for your DD, I'm so pleased that she enjoyed it ::yes::

How about I start the list for . . .

Fish Extender Group B

Leslie, when you see this you can feel free to take over - or I can continue it . . .

We will need a cut off date for this group as well . . .
Do you want to go with 2 weeks before we sail, which would be,

Saturday, October 16,2010

I want to make sure all in this group have enough time,
before they leave on vacation to pull together their goodies. . .

Also, if there is anyone that has signed up for Group A
and is feeling overwhelmed by the size of the group,
please feel free to switch to Group B.

I would be one of those that knows nothing about soccer. I love American Baseball & Football, but I don't even know all the "ins & outs" about those sports!" That being said, I can appreciate the excitement that she must have been feeling and I'm guessing that is one birthday gift she will remember her entire life!! Congratulations to her!!

Wow, great to see all the DisBoard cruisers going on the Halloween Cruise. We have side by side rooms with 7 total in our group. It will be fun. Third Disney cruise, wish I signed in earlier so I could have gotten in on the lanyard and trick or treat. Two boys, Harrison 9 & Hamilton 6 and our baby girl, Hayden 2. Fun fun fun.

Is it possible to get added?

Disney Wonder, Bahams 2007
Disney Magic, Mexico Rivera 2008
Disney Magic, Western Caribean 2010 (Halloween Cruise...ye haw)

:welcome: aboard! We are glad to have you sailing with us!

Yes I can certainly add the children to the Trick or Treat! The cutoff on that one is more flexible than the lanyards...:thumbsup2

In the case of the lanyards I have already started the order process. But I may have some extras when all is said and done (I did order a few extra just in case some are damaged or something happens). So keep an eye out here in a few weeks when I have everything assembled I will let everyone know if I have extras and if so how many and then the free for all will start. It will be first come first serve on those. :)

Glad to see our little family growing larger by the day! :goodvibes

Thanks for your kind comments Mandy! Sorry, I missed your earlier post - great FE!

We are not going to sign up for the second group since I am having palpitations about the first group, but I am happy to leave a few surprises around with any gifts we have extra :goodvibes

This is meant to be a fun event. If you are getting too stressed over the group size, please consider switching to Group B. This is your vacation!! Please just enjoy it!!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about Seren's brush with fame! She has gone off to school today with a bounce in her step which is major for a Monday morning. And to top it all, only 54 days until we sail! :goodvibes

I know! I just need to get organised, I was waiting until the date closed so that I could start planning properly, and there is still loads of time so I will be fine. Now our weekend is out of the way, I have some time to sit down and get sorted. Palpitations was a bit of an exaggeration, just a minor panic that's all

Wow, talk about opportunity of a lifetime! That is great!!! Wonderful pictures too! :thumbsup2

Congrats to Seren, how fun for her!

Cowboys OR Patriots? No dear, just Patriots! ;)

I'm going to stick with the A group, but I'd love to give to the B group as well. I had to order one item in groups of 100, so I have about 60 leftovers of one item and 10 of another.

I've got to figure out what I'm going to do for my handmade item, and how to get 'er done!

Hi Janice,

We would like to do both FE lists too.
Thanks,
Vicki

( I won't use the lime green this time - I don't want Sarge to start crying again!) :rotfl2:

Linda just walked past me, on her way out the door to the pool for the last time this summer, and says to me: "Do you ever get tired of reading the disboards?"

What the???? :confused3

I just wanted to elaborate on this...I don't need to be put on the list to GET gifts from Group B, but I want to get a list of stateroom numbers to GIVE to group B. Please?

I finally finished typing up the lanyard tags! Whew!
