I have a feeling that it will still be QS at values because my TA asked me yesterday if I had thought about upgrading to a moderate instead of paying the difference to upgrade to the DP and still staying at POP. I'm all about saving $$$ right now, and my DD and I loved POP, so we are going to stay there because even with the upgrade from QS to DP, I'm still saving money. If I upgrade to a moderate, and get the regular DP, I'll be paying the same amount as I am now by staying at POP with no discounts.

I think the main point of this 7/13 code is that it covers blackout dates between 10/3 and 11/23 (dates a CM told me the PIN covered).

I gave my TA the 15 digit PIN yesterday and she was told by a CM that she would have to call back on Tuesday to have it applied.

I called today, out of curiousity to see if I had a pin code attached to my name. Now mind you, I already called last week and applied the free quick-service dining to my reservations. I wanted to see if the CM would say anything about the July 13th free dining pin. He said that I have a free dining pin and gave me the number. When I asked about the July 13th pin, he said that they dont know what the pin will be come Tuesday, until its released. I know that I have never received a free dining pin, and even had my TA check and see, along with me calling and talking to a CM. I was originally booked with a 20% off, and now the free QS. So, I dont know whats going on, but I guess I will have to wait til Tuesday comes around. I hope its free regular dining at a value. That would save me even more. Thank you Trep72. I guess I will call my TA in the morning and give her the number and code and see what happens. Ive never stayed at POP, but from what I see and hear, its a real nice resort. The last time we went back in Jan 09, my travel agent called us the day before and told us that we were upgraded to CBR, it was real nice there, hoping Im not disappointed with POP. When I went as a kid, we camped at FW. Although its nice to camp, I would much rather stay at a resort and eat at the parks, thats what I call vacation. Im not much for camping and cooking on a little stove. Thanks!

I'm also told I have the 7/13 pin. If I put a ressie on hold now (no deposit applied yet), will I be able to call in on Tuesday and just have the pin applied to it? Or is it better to just start out with a new ressie on Tuesday?

Here is my question, I only have $200 deposited on that trip. If something better comes up (like a room discount offer or a soft black out date for 12/09 arrival), can I cancel that trip & still get my full $200 back since it is well before the 45 day marker?

Yes, you would get your $200 back if it is before the 45 day mark. Why don't you make a split reservation? Book a day of room only on 12/9. Then start your package with park tickets & FD on 12/10. We have done this several times. We just use the first day to get settled, look around the resort & then go over to DTD. Also, in December you could use this day to go resort hopping & check out all the decorations!!

You don't even need to cancel, you can just change your dates on the same reservation number. I've made changes several times to suit what we need.

I would do what the PP said. Do a split stay and have the 9th as a one day room only ressie, and then book the package as of the 10th and get free dining for the rest of ypur stay. I also read further back on these boards that Disney now allows you to purchase your park tickets to use in advance of your package start date. So in reality, you could still go to the park on your first day (9th), and the only thing you wouldn't get would be your food until the 10th.

Thanks guys, I was going to try that & they offered that, but knowing my luck, we WOULD have to end up changing rooms on Dec 10, because Dec 9th would have to be the room only reservation day, that is our arrival day.

My son has ASD & I have groceries delivered our first day & I unpack the first day. I don't want to have to delay the groceries until 12/10 & also have the possibility that we may need to go back down, re-check in, & possibly have to take our stuff to another room.

I know that most people get to keep the same room, but I don't have that kind of luck. So, I don't want to risk it. But thank you for the advice.

I understand your concern... I would worry too. I really think they do make an effort for you not to have to move. I have done this 3 times and have never had to move. If you explain your situation they would probably accomodate you.

Switched my ressie to free dining on Sat,. Pop was not available with the FD so took ASMu, checked online today and Pop now has availibility with FD, called and got us switched back, yeahhhhh!!!

These were our dates we just did a split stay. rm only disc on 12/9 then a new ressie with FD for 12/10-12/17.
