Oct 3 - Dec 30 FD & Code Watch (Only)

Of course it makes no sense! It's Disney!!!! :laughing:

There are posts all over this board where people have been told they have a PIN waiting for them effective 7/13 BEFORE the resent extension was announced. The question is now: is the 7/13 PIN for the general public or not?

On this thread alone, two people (me being one of them) have said their codes consisted of two letters and one number, and one has said theirs was a 15 digit code.

So what does that tell us??? Heck if I know. I'm just hoping that my code works as of the 13th. I'm almost inclined to call a CM just to confirm it's still there. Ahhhh...gotta love PIN paranoia! :rotfl:

Well now I hope it's public and DDP for values! That'd save us even more as we paid to upgrade to it. :lmao:
 
All this watching and waiting. It makes me wonder what I could get done if I weren't glued to my computer.
 
I just saw on the front page of this website where free dining was now offered!! Where have I been that I missed this??? I just called to get my free dining, we're staying at pop with 2 adjoining rooms and upgraded to Regular dining since the offer only covered quick service with this deal at values. This took about $400 off our total!! Yeehaw, been waiting on this. The CM said this has been available since last Tuesday (I had no pins, emails:cool1:, offers, whatever).
 

This experience should just tell ya to check Disboards everyday! ;)

I just saw on the front page of this website where free dining was now offered!! Where have I been that I missed this??? I just called to get my free dining, we're staying at pop with 2 adjoining rooms and upgraded to Regular dining since the offer only covered quick service with this deal at values. This took about $400 off our total!! Yeehaw, been waiting on this. The CM said this has been available since last Tuesday (I had no pins, emails:cool1:, offers, whatever).
 
Last night I emailed my TA to give her the 3-digit code the CM told me to give her so she could apply it to my ressie on 7/13.

Well, she just replied back and asked me if they gave me the PIN that goes along with it. She said that she would try to get it, but if I was able to it would be very helpful to her.

So....it looks like I'm gonna make another call to a CM and see if I can get more info. ;)

I believe the three digit code is a general public code. The 15 digit pin is personal to you. Only you will have that pin. If there is a GP CODE you don't need the pin. :goodvibes
 
Just got off the phone with another VERY helpful CM by the name of Darcy, and got some additional info.

I asked if she could give me the 15 digit PIN associated with the 3-digit code given to me the other night. She said she could, and she did.

I then mentioned that a previous CM mentioned that the code couldn't be applied until 7/13. She said it should be able to be applied right now.

So....the plot thickens. I'm emailing my TA right now! :rotfl:

Just showed up in box on front page. Uh, thanks Visa, but it is the EXACT same offer with the EXACT same blackout dates.

This is REALLY annoying, lol!
 
I did call back and got one not so bright and helpful person that I got rid of fast and the next one was a very nice woman that told me the pin was definitely on there and that I had to wait until July 13th to use it. She said there was no way to put it into the system because it was in the test phase.

For what it's worth, she said it was not for the general public but assigned to random people to include the blackout dates that were not included on the previous free dining dates which is when my trip is.

I hope by random she means everyone that has a trip scheduled around that time!!!

I have to say though that this behavior by the CM's is completely out of character. I have been around these boards since 2001 (under a different name) and I have NEVER heard of CM's giving out offer information BEFORE it was available. In fact, in the past this has been a closely guarded secret and fireable offense.

Again, I hope it works out for you and the others, but the whole thing does not make a lot of sense.

I would love Mary from mousesavers.com and some of the folks that have been through these things to weigh in with their thoughts.

OK...here's the latest from my TA:

She was not able to apply the code to my ressie today. She was told by a CM that it would have to be done on Tuesday....which is what we've all been told in the first place.

So now I guess I just wait until the 13th. I think I've found out as much information as I can at this point.

I'll be glad when Tuesday rolls around and we get more info on this new deal (although it sounds like it's for FD which doesn't help us since we're AP holders), right now our October trip has us paying rack rate :scared1: While we'll still go, a decent room discount would be nice (cause then we could apply those savings to our December trip :thumbsup2 )

like i said earlier and will again, i find it highly unusual that you have cm's that are willing to divulge future discount information not once but every time you call. It isn't that i am outright doubting you, but this is the first time in many years i have seen such a thing.

When I called to change my existing reservation, the CM told me that I couldn't apply it until Tuesday, AND he also gave me an alternate 15-digit number that I should use, in his words, 'instead'.

Does this make sense to anyone, because it sure doesn't to me....

Sounds like you are getting the PIN for Free Dining that includes some/all of the blackout dates the current public offer has.
 
I called today, out of curiousity to see if I had a pin code attached to my name. Now mind you, I already called last week and applied the free quick-service dining to my reservations. I wanted to see if the CM would say anything about the July 13th free dining pin. He said that I have a free dining pin and gave me the number. When I asked about the July 13th pin, he said that they dont know what the pin will be come Tuesday, until its released. I know that I have never received a free dining pin, and even had my TA check and see, along with me calling and talking to a CM. I was originally booked with a 20% off, and now the free QS. So, I dont know whats going on, but I guess I will have to wait til Tuesday comes around. I hope its free regular dining at a value. That would save me even more.
