Oct 3 - Dec 30 FD & Code Watch (Only)

Joining in!

Hoping for something in November...you think Disney will start releasing new offers starting in July?

We'd love an additional discount, too! We're going the week of October
11th, with or without additional money off, but would LOVE to have a deal!
Thanks for the info, homeschoolmomof4! You really know your stuff!

I thought I posted this yesterday, but I must have just previewed it and not posted! :confused3 I am hoping for some kind of discount as well. We are arriving OCT. 3rd! I look forward to watching and waiting with all of you! ;)

Crossing my fingers. I will be happy with any discount Disney wants to throw my way. Can't wait to see how this goes. :confused3 Heading that way October 7th.

Are you able to move your arrival to Oct 2nd? That way you would qualify for the FD offer that is out right now. :goodvibes

I'm kind of torn.....going late Sept and / or late Oct, depends on FD offer for late Oct. BUT.....w/o FD, the crowd would be smaller in late Oct, no?

I specifically chose 10/15 for our arrival date to avoid free dining!

But now Im worried about the weather. I was there mid Oct years ago and am now remembering it raining A LOT for whole days, not just passing downpours.

Ill have to attach post-its to my brain reminding me that May was always a great time to go to Disney!

Was it 2004?

Unfortunately we can't. Airfare is already booked and paid for! I wish though!

That's to bad...I've been booking on SouthWest for recent trips since they make it so easy to switch flights around. I am hoping for FD in December, hopefully it will come out for all of our dates!!! :goodvibes

I hope I am mistakened, but when did Disney change their policy about codes etc...I was under the impression that when you book a reservation under a specific code it applies only to the dates of the code(like FD). If any dates falll outside of that time line you are out of luck...and you pay full price (whatever that happens to be)..

Did they not close that loophole a few years ago....folks were booking the last day of an offer (like FD) and getting to actually extend past the dates for as long as their stay...?????

Waiting here too for FD to be extended or 4/3 or 20/30/40/45 % room only offer. Planning a trip october 17-24, 2010!!!!

Gartner week - stay away from the Epcot resorts... (I know from experience :)

No. What happens is that Disney moved to a per day room rate. So a % off promotion will be based on the rack rate, and that rate can and will change.

For FD, it matter is that you start your trip on the start of the promotion or the end of the promotion, and the offer will apply to the whole trip.

So for now, you MUST arrive on or after August 14th, or arrive on or before October 2nd.

I've gone in mid October several times since 2001. Never had a problem with rain other than the occasional downpour.

Note that last year, there was FD in mid October (at least for DVR holders).

FD does not indicate crowd size. In fact, if you have FD, chances are the crowd are smaller as Disney needs to make it harder to fill the rooms.

Mid/Late October you have food and wine and several conventions start happening (I've been to Gartner several times and we take over the Epcot resorts).

I think you have less occupancy in early september as most kids are back in school and parents don't want to pull them. Also, early september is still very hot/humid.

This year will be our first time in late september (via bounceback) unless FD gets extended or a 4/3 comes out. We'll then switch it to November or even xmas week.

We are booked from November 20-29. We are hoping for FD. We got it in 2006 & 2008. We are going either way but would love to see the QSDP we are planning on paying for to be free!!!
