Nope, the marathon was in St Louis! DH is not quite at Boston Qualifying time yet! I did see in the news that Boston was the same weekend, right?

So...we decided to switch our seating to the Late seating instead of main. I thought that it might be better for our family to eat later. Michelle, can you update our info?

Hello everyone, and Welcome Nicole and Joey!
Well, I had another whirlwind weekend. I don't think my feet touched the ground! We had two birthday parties, a trip to the movies to see Hannah Montana and an out of town minor league baseball game. Weekends exaust me!
Terri, where did you get you swim suit? Did you order the one you were talking about?
Well this is the last week of soccer, regular season at least. The playoffs are next week. I'm not sure if Ashley's team made the playoffs or not... is it wrong of me to hope they didn't? The playoff game is the Friday night before we have an early flight Sat. morning to fly down to Newport Beach for one day for a wedding. It would be much nicer if we didn't have to go to a night playoff game the night before. Don't tell Ashley I said that.
The backyard is still a work in progress, hopefully the swing set will be done in the next two days. Ryan has only been able to work on it a couple of hours at a time so it is taking quite a while.
Still no airline discount on our sail date. I've decided that if we are able to get a discount we are going to try and do the EB TA cruise next April. It's the exact same two weeks that the girls have spring break so they would only miss school for travel days. If we don't get the discount on this cruise though I don't think we would be able to pull it off. We'll see...

It was 90 degrees here in Syracuse today...Very hot!!!! But I am not complaining because it has been cold for soooo long.

Good Morning to all! Though it seems like I found more of you on facebook then here... I know it's addicting. Ok so for those of you I hvaen't told.. We better got on the cruise soon cause we are so Mickey deprived.....let's see I got a Mickey tattoo, my DH has this bright idea to make our flower bed in the shape of Mickey ears(where our trees were that we took down in October). If we dont go soon I am bound to have Mickey everywhere and maybe another tattoo....Someone save me! LOL

Ok well off to Menards to get more landscaping bricks to make Mickey! TTFN

Well, there have been three confirmed cases of the swine flu in Sacramento (which is where we spent all day Sunday). Did you know that Terri? It's pretty close. Does anyone else have any nearby? I know the most cases so far in the US are in NY. Hopefully they'll be able to contain it quickly. I know the schools where there have been cases are closing for at least a week. That's got to throw a kink in peoples daycare situations.
Well, off to take Riley to school. Star testing starts today so we need to get an early start...

Hey all! Glad I could hook up with some of you on facebook. I told Michelle today that I find myself on FB more than on DIS. You can find my BFF Trina there as well. Not sure how often she's on there but she's there. Speaking of Trina, she's having knee surgery tomorrow. Not knee replacement but she's got a bone spur that they have to get rid of and put her knee cap back into place. Needless to say she'll be outta for about 1-2 weeks and then she'll be back and hopefully as good as new. Soooooo, what I'm saying here is she'll probably have her laptop with her at all times and will just have to come on here to get caught up and she'll also have to go to FB too. LOL

I am just finishing up the fish extender gifts that I have made for the adults. The kids are all set.
It was a great day here today. 78. It was 90 degrees yesterday...whew, so hot!!!

I am sorry to say that we won't be able to cruise this year. My position has been elminated at my company. I can't justify spending the money on the cruise.

People at work are in a state of panic as two of our colleagues have just come back from Mexico. Neither of them has returned to work yet, but tempers are flaring that it is unacceptable that people are put at risk.

I think that people got into a frency over the swine flu....don't get me wrong I worry about my kids. One of her classmates came back from Mexico, which is where she spent a week over spring break. No-one is saying kick her outta class...I think people become hypocondriacs(sp) in this situation. It's hard to not worry but I think most people should be able to fight the flu. It's the under 5 and those with medical conditions we worry about and elderly.


As for the facebook thing..I am so agreeing about the apps and stuff.But I love that I can chat sorta like Instant messaging and have a conversation especially to the ones I can't call. I like DIS too...Each has it's good points.

On that note I am off to get ready to take the kids to school and eat my breakfast. So I will chat more later. I hope you all have a great day! 4 more days and our ticker will say 4 months and 4 weeks.....wooohoo. TTFN

.Surfing & trying to pass time before surgery. It is 10:30 am & surgery is scheduled for 1:45 this afternoon. I couldn't believe it when they told me it was so late. It sure will nice to get around without a cane. I'm too young to be feeling so old. My DH is taking the rest of the week off just to take care of me! What a sweetie.Well, for the next couple of weeks I'll be laid up so I will probably be back often & then disappear again. I get a chance to check the site, just don't post often. :Same with FB. Glad I checked out our board here, learned the name of some folks requesting friends on FB. Now I know that I don't have to ignore the requests. That's all for now. Time to get ready to head to the hospital. Thanks in advance for prayers & good thoughts.

I guess I better start getting FE stuff together. It sounds like a lot of people are on a roll with that. I just am not very creative, so I don't think I'm going to plan on making anything, I just have to figure out what to buy and how to put it together.
I can't believe that in just a few days we will be able to say 4 months and so many days. Time is really starting to speed up! Yay!

Well I wondered how long it would take....I just checked the DCL website and they have altered the Western (for now). They have replaced the port of Cozumel with a stop in Nassau instead.

Well I am ok with Nassau....I am not opposed just never have been there because if was only offered on the 3/4 nighters and I like 7. Thanks for cheking on that Andrea, I was gonna call but then I saw ur post and said ok already done.

I still have not made my prototype for my fish extender gift, even though I got the idea months ago. I have the day off tomorrow so I have every intention to get the craft box down. Once I know that it works, I can get the materials and I might actually take them with me on our cruise next month to do.

Hi all. Just a quick update on Trina. I talked to her hubby this morning. Apparently the surgery went well. However, for some reason (and even he was unaware ) they kept her overnight at the hospital. Sooooo, today he has headed to the hospital in the hopes that she'll come home today. Will keep you informed.

Just had lunch with my husband. Now I'm stuffed and need a nap. Hope everyone else has a good day today! Talk to you all later.

Hey Everyone,

All of the school systems in our county have been closed until Monday. There have been 2 probable cases of swine flu reported in a school in one of the systems. So, it has hit here in North Alabama. Our field trip to Montgomery tomorrow as well as my DS (13)'s band trip to Knoxville and Pigeon Forge, TN, for this weekend both have been cancelled.

Hope everyone stays healthy. So far, our school is in the clear.

Well, Vacaville has it's first case of the swine flu. It's a 50 year old man that has not been to Mexico or been around anybody that has. No word yet on school closures.
Ashley is officially done with soccer...for 3 months, which is when the city league starts up. Her school placed 2nd place in their league for JV and Varsity. The varsity team will be in the playoffs, but they don't have playoffs for JV ( ) don't tell Ashley, but man I'm I glad about that! We will have a lot more free time in our evenings not having to deal with rides to and from practice and dragging Riley and Bailey to the games.
We were going to go get Ryans passport today, but then I remembered I have to register the girls for the city league soccer this Sat., and that will be $300, so we are going to have to wait a bit for the passport.
Kristi--Is Trina home from the hospital yet? How's she doing?
