Val---decisions decisions...LOL :confused3 I like the idea about going to topsiders and then just being right there to throw the kids right in the pool. I also like PC cause I to like going back up if there is something I really like. I have never has any # worse then 3. I try and make sure I get there real early to get a good number. I send Del to get a table at PC and start feeding the kids while I go get tea tickets. One time we had tea w/Wendy Darling and in Feb Alice&Mad Hatter. I liked Feb better...the girls love listening to the crazy talk from the mad hatter!

I hope Character breakfast is where they come to your table for photos and autographs. That's how it was for our 2006 cruise. But Feb 2008 one they had the kids dancin in the ilse w/the characters. No personal photos, no autographs....chaos.... .Kids and characters were in the servers way...just an accident waiting to happen...didn't enjoy it at all.

I think today I am making my magnets and a craft project. I need to go to Pat Catans for some supplies..I am not crafty carrie so we shall see. I wish I was creative! OMGoodess....could we please get to Sept. shoot I would just love it to be June. Nice weather and only a few months out.
Owell Off to the cold I go.....Andrea want to switch? I don't have a fireplace but a fire pit...you could sit outside around that...:rotfl2:

Hi everyone! Well, this is my last time I'm writing on this thread before we leave for Vietnam. :) We leave TOMORROW!!!!! We are all very excited. We still have a few items left to do (the biggest being packing) and we'll be heading out about 4:30am tomorrow morning for the airport. We have a very long trip ahead of us but the gift at the end is going to be amazing! Please keep us in your prayers. I've already shared our blog with you and we will be posting on it throughout our trip. There will also be pictures!!!! Please remember that we will be 12 hours ahead of you in Vietnam. So I'm traveling into the future. :rotfl2: Have a very Merry Christmas all and a Happy New Year! Kristi

Kristi--Have a safe and wonderful trip!! We will be praying for everything to go well, and I can't wait to hear from you when you get back!

Well, winter has finally arrived here! The leaves are falling off the trees and it is cold! And I don't mean just cold to me, it is REALLY cold. The lows at night are in the mid 30's. To think it was almost 70 on Thursday! I will be having a fire tonight!:cool1:

Michelle--That's so funny that Del said "Do I have to chose now?" That sounds just like something Ryan would say. Ryan is missing the planning gene. Not only does he not do it, he is not capable of doing it. His mind just wont let him. When I try to talk about something going on in the "future" with him he is completely incapable of doing it unless it is happening in the next 24 hours.

Last time we had boarding card 5 (I think) and the first time we cruised we didn't even get a boarding card :scared1: we got there around 1:30 and walked right on. This was all before I discovered the boards and I believed what the documents said, that they started boarding at 1. Well, I know better now! ;)

Our character breakfast in Sept was a true character breakfast! we were greeted by Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale. :) Everyone was given a napkin hat too. :) We enjoyed this one so much better than the Jamboree breakfast!

Kristi: have a safe trip!

Andrea----Del just gets the time off and I make all the plans. He loads the luggage...no he doesn't do that either cause he will screw that up. His job will be to unload the luggage at the port and take the car back to budget, while I get a #2/3 and check in....I better get a 2/3!! I know 1 is hopeless cause I don't have conceirge.

I am counting on you all to get me through the next 9 months.....Get me to June and I will full of excitment I won't be able to contain myself.

TTYL Kristi.,....be safe!!!

Well I think I am gonna recline back and relax...I have a fundraiser tonight. Which will be talked about in my thread tomorrow. Chat later

Well I did it! I went to the gym! :cool1: And now I'm rewarding myself with meatballs and a coke, hey don't judge, I would have had the meatballs and coke either way. This way I burned off 1/2 the coke and maybe 1 meatball.:thumbsup2

Michelle, Ryan is exactly the same way. I always tell people that he just "shows up" on vacation. Although I must say he does load the luggage, he will also drive to the airport, unload at the airport, then load it into the rental car, unload it at the hotel (even though I pack ONE bag for the hotel so that we don't have to dig through all the other bags--he insists on bringing them all into the room because he's afraid somebody might steal them out of the back of the rental car:confused3 , whatever, it's his sweat)then he will load them back into the car, drop us off, then he takes the car back, at which point his vacation responsibilities are over until we reverse the process on Sat. So, he's pretty much our pack mule. ;)
Don't worry, we'll get there! It'll be here before you know it! Just keep telling yourself that...

Andrea -- I think this is a u, Val and I conversation here...:rotfl2: Where did everyone go?? :confused3
Maybe they all will be alive after Xmas....haha

Ok ok so Del will load them as I am standing there saying.."this one first , then this one, etc". I 2 pack a suitcase for the hotel. I take a t-shirt and undies of all of ours that has seen its day, that way when they change on Sat morning they just pitch whatever they slept in. I don't wanna go on the boat carrying dirty clothes already! I had planned on leaving our other things in the rental car but now Ryan as me nervous.
Then I pack a carry on for the ship with something casual for dinner in case our luggage isn't there in time for dinner. I am so torn on when I would "like" to have dinner. I wanted formal night in Lumi's but I like 6pm dinner time and the formal rotation is Monday night on the Western. So for Formal dinner I think I would be eating at 5:15... 6PM was just so nice cause they would have characters photo ops at 5:45pm so we would get pics taken and then into dinner. If we eat at 5:15 we would miss all this. OMG I am stressin here....wake up Michelle!!!!

Looks like u and I andrea will be some of the first there. Del and Ryan should be able to chit chat while waiting for the shuttle back to the port and Riley and Sydney should get to know each other....I can see it...U and I will be the woman w/girls running in for the good number and husbands standing there going " duh where do I go now":lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

We had boarding #2 last time. It was great and I plan to be there right at 10 again.

I just booked a room for the night before the cruise at Four Points by Sheraton for $75+tax. Thought that was a good price. :thumbsup2

I haven't been online much the last few days. Due to an ice storm, we lost power at midnight on Thursday and have been living with a generator since so we can't power too much at a time. We are better off than most, though, since we have this generator. It was 17 degrees last night with more than 500,000 without power or heat. They are saying some people wont' have power back til Thursday! Yeah - the cruise is sounding better & better...

Talk with you all soon...

Julie

Julie Do you live in either Vermont, New Hampshire or Maine? I heard on the news that they got hit really bad. Thank God for the generator!! We lost power in the winter once and it was unbelievably cold!!! It was only for a couple hours, but it felt like longer. Hopefully your power will come back soon.

Do you think that now the gas prices are lower...the airlines will lift the extra baggage pricing? I know...I just thought I'd ask. I havent got my cruise wardrobe yet, but I know it will be hard to cram everything in one suitcase:sad1:

Kristy Best of luck and safe travels:hug: !!!!!

I don't know about the baggage pricing. But that would be nice. I am pretty much shopping the idea of Southwest cause they are the last to NOT charge for baggage. Delta is charging now...$15 first $25 second,, sheesh with the cruise that would cost me another ticket...

Julie sorry about ur power. I heard about that on the news this morning...looked rough! We have bad winters but Sandusky, Ohio is like right in this dip on lake erie and alot of times it goes right over the lake and the east side of Ohio gets it worst by PA /Ohio border.

That's a good hotel price too. I have a reservation but am definately shopping around still.....gotta go as cheap as possible.

Well off to sleep...was a long night. We had our first night of our families Make-a-wish fundraiser. I think 125 kids tonight...kinda slow..must have been the weather. Tomorrow should be warmer...as long as it doesn't rain we should get more. I will try and remember to get a pic tomorrow and post them....TTFN

Hi all! I'm finally getting around to introducing myself...my name is Terri, my DH is Marc and DD is Amaya (9 at time of cruise). Also in our group in mother-in-law Amy and Uncle Jim.

We have been talking about a Disney Cruise for a couple of years and after spending week nights at soccer practice and weekends at games with Andria (dismom73) I was convinced that I "had to go". So I booked and I'm counting down the days...can't wait.

I'm not sure how to "sign up" for the group participating in the FE but I'd like to join, just let me know what I need to do. I wasn't even quite sure how to post so hopefully this will go through. I'll talk to you all later. Thanks again Andria for talking me into this!

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have disappeared. Things have been crazy around our house. They finally finished all of the repairs from our flood. My mother had surgery on her neck last week and is doing well. Our nephew was involved in a racing accident last weekend and had to have surgery on his back (they had to put in rods and screws-T1 to T5 vertebrate). The doctors say he is very lucky. Most people do not survive with a broken bone in this area and if they do the are paralized. Thankfully, he is able to move and will go to rehab Monday hopefully. I only have one more week of school and then we are out for 2 weeks. On top of everything else, our oldest son was approved by our insurance for growth hormone treatments. We have been trying to get this approved for several months. He started them a week ago and is doing great. He is even giving himself his injections.

Well, it is bedtime and I need to go. I promise that I will not stay gone like I have been. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Gena

Terri...Welcome aboard the Disney Dreamers. :cool1: If you go to the first page of this thread , you will find a link to our web page. :surfweb: On there I have everyones stateroom #'s and who has signed up for the FE.. i will make sure to put you on the list. Also if you want you can PM me a family photo to be added to our web page. Are the other 2 people in ur room ? or another, and do they wanna participate in the FE? if so I need a cabin #. Thank you! Also Terri...are u main/late dining, celebrating any special occasions, etc?:wizard:

Gena----you have been extremely busy.....I hope everything works out in all you have to deal with. Nice to have ya back.

Well I am off to bed. Very busy night. The Make a wish event is exhausting, but worth it. My Aunt decorates her house (on a few acres) like the Grizwalds(sp) from Lampoons Vacation movie but classier. Then we decorate the garage, built a garage door that is see through so the kids can all look in. They come and are greeted by Frosty and Rudolph(AKA-My DH). Then wait in line and write their santa letters, enter large gift drawings(bikes , etc), then see Santa. They get a free polaroid photo of them w/Santa(aka my dad/ uncle) , then they get a bag with toys, coupons for free meals from local rest(olive garden, applebees, bob evans, etc) then they get hot chocolate and cookies. We don't charge but people give donations and then we donate it all to Make-a-wish. We've done it for over 9 yrs now and now since my grandma passed last yr we do it in her memory....this was her fav event!!!

Well i will try and include photos tomorrow night/Monday.

Goodnight

I am part of the tosser club too! We packed a bunch of clothes that were tossed! :) ( someone from our thread started the whole thing with...see that picture...dont have those underwear anymore.) The discussion went on for like 6 pages! :lmao:
I all ready have a pile for our WDW trip this month too. :)

Welcome Terri and family.

Lots of good wishes for those who are sick, etc etc. :)

Welcome Terri and family. I am sure you will have a wonderful time. We had our first cruise (or more correctly cruises) in September and had a ball. I can't wait to get back on the Mouse Boat.

Corinna

:wave2: Hi Terri! I'm glad you finally made your way over here!

It sounds like everyone has been REALLY busy, ice storms, surgery, oh my! I just have teen age girl girl drama, and I gues it's really not that cold here. At least we have power and heat! :scared1:

Michelle, to anwser your question Terri's party has two cabins in their group. I'll let her give you the cabin numbers though, it's like giving out someones phone number, I don't like to do it without permission.

I think we will be staying at the Marriott the night before, but we haven't booked anything yet. We will probably be getting the one bedroom suite. If we take the red-eye in like last time that will put us there for most of the day and the extra space was nice for the 5 of us. If the price difference isn't too steep we might even do the two bedroom, just so we can have two bathrooms. With 5 of us getting ready in the morning it would come in handy, especially if we're going to beat Michelle to the termianl. ;)

:welcome: Welcome Terri and family!!! Glad you made it to the boards. You are going to have a blast chatting with all us crazy people:) .

I was at the mall and just happened to take a peek in Macy's to see if they had anything cute and I found the most adorable dresses on sale. I figured they would be great for formal nite, so I got them. Now I will be keeping my eye open for some cute secret mickey things.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and I will chat later:)

Wow, It's been a busy weekend on here talking about everything from throw away clothes to Ice storms, and yes we were right on the line of the ice storm, so I had a line for our shower since we were one of the lucky ones that still had power. Most of our friends lost it on Thursday and didn't get it back until today, and some won't get it until Mon or Tuesday. YUK!

I'm with Michelle, is it June yet? I'm done with the cold already and it just started.

Andrea, did I see that you went to the gym? You I haven't been able to go back on my diet since you were all here:( You may have just inspired me to get my $** on the treadmill.

Talk to you all soon.

Yep, I went to the gym. I got a three month free membership so I'm going to loose 10 pounds in the next 3 months. :thumbsup2 No problem!
I'm glad to hear you still have power! Hopefully it stays that way. Has the storm passed? It's been gloomy and rainy here all day. It has made me lazy. I haven't accomplished much of anything all day. Oh well, there's alway tomorrow.

ok I saw a hidden Mickey on the way home from Cleveland today
