Margaritaville is a few minutes walk from the port. The place is pretty big, outside by the waterslide they have big cabanas, it will fit 2 families or so. (no extra charge for this). Plus there is a huge bar inside and tables inside too. We had just our middle child last time. She enoyed her "Margarita" and the slide.
We didnt get off the ship until after lunch, we had the pool to ourselves for awhile. (very nice.) --- Now I am giving away our secret. We spent about an hour or so there. The margaritas are pricey. It was close to 30.00 for 3 drinks!

I honestly dont know if there is--my guess is no. sorry. We didnt do much exploring. We went to GC on our cruise in 05 too, so this time we didnt do alot.
GC is the hottest island by far. Some of the lines to get back on the cruise ships were brutal. ( DCLs moved.... the others did not.)
GC is a tender.

I have heard there is a Margaritaville in Key West, dont know if it has a slide or not.

we did the double dip in Sept, so Key West wasnt a stop.

I think we are only doing one excursion (if we do any at all). It really isnt that big a deal. We dont mind exploring the islands on our own. It can be fun that way also!!! I think we will do the Margarittaville in GC. My kids love waterslides.

Ok Val I see some of ur girls on the DD cruise(like I think DreA) did the margaritta taste testing....did U go? If i read right Drea REALLY loved it!! I was just curious cause I wanted to sign up for it...is there any charge or is it free like most things?

Ok seems like we might need like 4 cabanas at GC with all of us onboard for it....Well hey Disney Dreamers bondng time....LOL

We did the Tequilla and Margerita tasting on the Magic in September and were not impressed. I am a bit of a Margerita connoisseur and I thought the two Margeritas that we got to try were nothing special. We got a Classic Margerita and a Strawberry Margerita. The rest of the tasting was taken up with Tequilla shots. I had done the Martini tasting the day before and DH did the beer tasting and both of us agreed that the Tequilla/Margerita tasting was not as good as the tasting we had done the day before. The person who did the Tequilla/Margerita tasting seemed to love the tone of his own voice and just droned on and on. The Martini tasting the previous day was interactive and was both educational and fun. The tasting cost $15 per person.

Well, I better let Matt know that he can quit Burger King. He will be happy you are all set. I was gonna make him get a job at Subway too (only cuz I really like their Buffalo Chicken sub )

We are only planning on doing an excursion in Cozumel. Key West we'll do on our own, Grand Cayman we'll tender over - walk around for a little bit (til me and 8 year old start complaining it's too hot ) and go back and enjoy the ship. CC we're planning to rent bikes and floats.

And I have never really had margarita's or martini's...so those would be a change...Hmm hope those things are late night so I can just pass out afterwards....anyone up for that?

I think we will Bike this yr...heck who knows maybe I will park my butt and never move....oh but the kids like doing the crab race. Their crab won last time and Disney surprised them with magnets and HSM posters

On our two cruises they always were early to mid afternoon. Lets just say, the ship even rocked when it was in port afterwards. The measures are quite generous and the drinks are very potent.

Lisa----Lila will be 8 right? my Sydney was 8 on our feb cruise and she did fine with CC ones but Nelia will only be 5 and she just likes to float....but if lila will be more comfy in a smaller one and U can get one at the $1 store...saves 5 and gives Lila's dad a job....LOL

our kids spend only a few hrs on the beach----they like bike riding,ice cream, crap races and dancing with the characters after lunch....

Welcome back Michelle! I'm looking forward to meeting you and having a margarita...the rest of you too but you never left so I don't have to welcome you back.

I was looking forward to the margarita and martini tasting but it doesn't sound like it was too good...oh well I'll probably do it anyway-what the heck! I've never had a martini and it's probably about time I try one..

Andria - I forgot to tell you last night that I almost have my sister and a friend of mine convinced to cruise with us. I told them I'd check into the price of an inside cabin and with them splitting it maybe it won't be too bad. I need to have them talk to you and then they'll really be convinced.

I've off to work - someone has to earn some OT to pay for this trip.

Lila won't have anything to do with characters - which is a huge bummer for me since I scrapbook. She'll probably try and spend the entire day in the water, we'll drag her out for bike riding and to check out the crab races.

We pretty much spend the whole day on the beach at CC, except to go to the BBQ for lunch, and Bailey likes the "dancing with characters" they have in the middle of the day. We've never done the crap, I mean crab races before...I think I want to try to do the bikes this time too.
