LisaG hey there, huge flyer fans here!!! Great year for them , disappointing wish they could have made it ,but they did great, good things to come. we are also on the cruise me(49, well 50 next month) dh (48).we will be celebrating our 25th on the cruise, hope to meet everyone!!

We booked this cruise last week while on the WB repo. It will be me (42), DH (44), Dsis (39), DBIL (40) and Dniece (8). 5th cruise for DH and me, sis, dbil and niece are all first time cruisers.

And we are all Flyers fans even though we no longer live in PA.

Would love to participate in FE gift exchange. It was great on the repo to get fish gifts everyday. I'm still sorting pictures and when I find my FE pics I'll post it.

Hey all! I wanted to share something quickly kinda off the cruise subject. As you know (if you've read all the posts that is ) my husband and I adopted our DD (age 5) and were in the process of adopting another DD. We have been in that second process for well over 2 years now and we've had MANY MANY difficulties and large potholes along the way. Yesterday we received our final pothole. We will not at this time be adding another member to our family of 3. We are all sad but feel this is the right thing to do with such uncertainty and trouble our agency has put us through. So, there will be just 3 of us joining you for the cruise. We are all doing pretty good as we all knew in our hearts this was going to happen. We ask that you keep our family in your prayers over the next couple of days.

We are still very excited about the cruise and know we're going to have a blast with you all. I think I said this before but we are definitely in for the fish extender fun. Thanks alot and we look forward to meeting each of you in 2009. Kristi

Kristi, My heart goes out to you and your family. I know this must be very heartbreaking. I am a foster parent and everytime I had to return a child or I received a call for placement for a baby and they never came, it broke my heart. . I will think only happy thoughts for you because you never know what the future may bring.

I already bought a couple things for the fish exchange. It should be really fun!!

Thanks so much. It's hard and we're all walking around a little sad right now. But we know that there is a plan for us and we're open to hearing His word. Hey all! I hope everyone is doing well. Our family is doing well considering what we've been through recently. I wanted to share with everyone that because we are not traveling overseas for an adoption, our family decided to go away on a vacation. We are going to.......... (wait for it).......... DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are very excited. We're going in August, just before the new school year starts. It will be a wonderful trip to go on and a great way to regroup while having fun. It'll also be a nice teaser before next year's cruise. Talk to you soon. Kristi

So, like I stated earlier, we too will be on this cruise. It will be our first. I will be 36, my daughter will be 12, and my son will be 9. We have not gotten our room assignment yet. We live in Salt Lake City, UT. I guess we would like to participate in the fish extender thing. Can you all give me some ideas as to what is usually in them and how often we place stuff in them? Is this like picking someone name for a gift exchange or do we put stuff in all of them? We are heading to Disneyland in a couple of weeks after my kids get out of school. I think after that is over we will really start to get excited about the cruise. Wow, I just reread what I wrote and I can't believe how many different things I babbled about in a short time. Sorry for the confusion and for not sticking to one topic. I promise to improve

I am definatley no expert on the exchange, but I think you can put most anything in the extender. I bought pirate stickers and tattoos, pirate stampers, glow bracelets, and I will buy candy when it gets closer, plus a few extra surprises. I am kinda crazy getting things now, but I really am soo excited!!! You guys are going to think I'm silly, but I already bought a pirate costume for pirate night. I think I'm going off the deep end!!

Lucky you Kristi...going to Disney this August!! Wish it were us. We are just going to go to Wildwood, NJ. I have never been, so it should be fun.

We are looking forward to getting away from "reality" and just have fun. It's overdue. I never realized how down we all were until all this adoption stuff happened. We're coping well and have peace about the situation. So the countdown to Disney World begins. Then I'll completely focus on the Cruise. YIPPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all. I realize it's really early in the game BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, I was wondering if we should work on naming our cruise. I don't know if anyone else who's cruised DCL before did this but our group did and we went so far as to create a logo for ourselves. Most of us created shirts with the logo and name and it just added to the fun. We also wore mardi gras beads to see each other on boarding day. Our group was the Cruiseapalooza's. We had a treasuremap with a large pirate mickey and his chest of treasure on it. It looked awesome. Anyway, let me know if anyone is interested in at least creating a name for our group and, if you're interested in doing a logo as well. Kristi

Hey it's me again. Guess I'm having a conversation with myself. I wanted to share with all that my little girl just graduated from Kindergarten tonight. I now have a 1st grader. AND, to top it all off, she lost her 2nd tooth this evening. Very cool. Sweet dreams all. I'll be dreaming of a Disney trip to come.

I think giving our group a name would be fun. I think you should be the team leader Kristi because you have cruised Disney before and you seem to know what you are doing. Plus, you did get voted "most organized" in high school , so I have faith you can put our group in order.

Wow, another tooth, didn't she just loose her first one last week? Congrats on the graduation. My oldest just graduated 8th grade, so I now have a high schooler . I'm so glad I've come across you guys, because my husband thinks I'm crazy even discussing a trip that is over a year away, now I know it's not just me .

Andrea, My husband is the same way. He doesnt want to talk about the trip because it is 1 year, 3 months, 3 weeks and 5 days away . He rolls his eyes every time he sees me talking to you guys. I just think it is fun to discuss the trip plus it is nice to meet new friends
