Well, our Airfare is DONE.. got in on united at $630.00 round trip for the 4 of us. :cool1: Im sure we could of found something a tad cheaper.. but I was afraid to lose this good rate! We also got the car rental done, and now just have the hotel to book... Still waittin on my sis in law for some info b4 we do that one, but it looks like we might be staying at Country Inn and Suites. I still havent recieved my pass port. My DH and kids all have their original bc. Mine was a questionable one.. so we decided id be the only one who would need to get a PP and save the other $$ on getting theirs. Really feel like im forgetting things to get done "in time"....Anyone think of anything else??

Thanks!!

Actually $630 for 4 people sounds pretty good. I can't get to Minnesota(from Orlando) for less than $200 person.

Got all your excursions booked?

labmom, have you tried the residence inn by marriott? Alot of us are staying there the night before! we are planning a get together that night at the pool. maybe even the ones that are not staying there can stop by still.

it's officially my weekend!! the daycare kids are all gone, so the weekend can start!!

Miss- excursions, are the next in line, for some reason, other then myself and my 6 year old the other 2 are just not into it yet. My daughter just said she wants to lay out on the deck and tan... she says she is going to have boyfriend whitdrawls and dosent want to do anything else. And my DH is exhausted from work right now, he is a mgr. at the school dist. and they are putting the schools back together b4 they start up.. so once he is done there he will look them over.

Did you check out United (dont know if they fly out of Minnesota or not). On a fluke we checked with them and was shocked that they were cheaper to fly with then Southwest for us. I think DH found that airfare through Priceline then hit United to double check.

Steph, yes we are looking at the residendce inn, going to make the decision this weekend and book it somewhere since we now know we will only need a room for 1 night (that sat).

I usually don't use priceline because of the possibility of red-eye flights or way too many stops. I can get cheaper than $200, but it usually involves 2 stops. Not gonna do it with two little ones!

Excursions can fill up quickly. I would book online now and then you can always cancel (I think up to 1 week prior to sailing?) Even if your not sure you really want to do it, book it while you think about it. Check out the cancellation policy though to make sure!

We are going to do the atlantic beach day. that is pretty much all as far as excursions. we get to book early tuesday morning!

Well we booked the Country Inn and Suites, got it for $79.00 King suite with a sofa bed for the kid's. Next is excursions... do we find these on the Disney Web site?? I did get a small book from Disney, but they dont give the prices in it..
Also do any of you know of or have a "TO DO LIST" I wanted to make one up.. and my mind slips me as to whats really left to do other then our excursions.. also a list of some kind of lil things that 1 would forget to bring but they are things of need, like suntan lotion, markers for the pillowcases, that kinda list..(I like to have check lists so I dont forget ANYTHING). :hourglass I dont want to wait till the last min. Ive actually started to get a bunch of stuff already and have our "Disney" box in the closet with the markers and flip flops for my lil guy, also bought some Dollar store swim tubes for the kids, so we dont have to rent them on CC. Anything else you guys can think of???

Thanks Again!!

great rate for your hotel labmom!
i know that there is a packing spreadsheet on the boards here somewhere....i'm just not sure where! It's great that you have your disney box started...i just started mine last weekend! UMmm...it's actually pretty full already!
Great idea about the dollar store swim items. Does anyone know if the kids will be allowed to use the arm floats in the pool on the ship? i don't remember seeing any with them on our last cruise, but i was mainly in the mickey ear with my little one...so i didn't pay too close attention. This year, my little one will be able to swim with the big kids, but he really likes to feel a little independent and likes his arm floats. Any one know if we can bring them? I'm hoping so!
well, hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hi! Everybody,
Glad to see all you newbies. Welcome to our board. We are going to be the people HAVING THE MOST FUN.

Rosemary,
thanks for making the map. We are in rooms #2072- #2076 - #2074.
Kennedy wiil love the TOT.

I've made all my ressies already, Checked Kennedy into the club. That's all she cared about. She was so afraid I would wait to long. I'm waiting for my Passporter book,so I can see what we want to do in Nassau. I want to see what they say it good to do on your own. Most times it is alot cheaper to do it yourself instead of with DCL. I'll let you all know when I get my book.

I know somebody said their little girl was 9. Kennedy was 9 also. Maybe we should get a thread going for the kids. That way they would already know each other. If it sounds good, let me know.

I just wanted to thank Jennifer for inviting us to the board. I am traveling with my 4 year old princess, Camden. We cruised Disney on Halloween in 2004. We are too excited to be going again. I would love to join in any fun you guys have planned.

Glad you stopped by! We will be having a trick or treat, and one of the DIS members will be making a map of the decks so we can mark which rooms will be participating in trick or treating. If you want to participate, bring candy and let us know your room number.
Also, there will be a DIS meeting on Deck 10 after the sailaway party.(please correct me if I am wrong!) There will be copies of the deck plans at the DIS meeting.

Jennifer

boy looks like we are going to have to do a time line up or something.. LOL... lots more coming in. i know we are meeting around the pool at the residence inn at one point prior to the cruise the night before. then meeting on deck 10 (except shannon and he people), then who knows from there... is everyone going to wear the famous green for the meet on deck 10... i know i am!!!

Please clue me in; we need to wear green????
ok the deal with green is that people that are from the DISboards where a lime green color to stand out fromthe rest. i have a lime green shirt that i am wearing that i bought mainly for the first day! hope that explains it. someone else maybe able to help ya out more.. i am a newbie to cruising too!

Ok....let try this again. I thought i posted this once but it did not post... anyway
For the new posters...do you have yahoo messenger? Some of us get together on there and chat. We have gotten to know each other pretty good. Come join us.

I would love to be in on the trick or treating. I bet they would have more fun. We did the cruise 2 years ago and the lines are crazy on deck. We are in room 2556. Can't meet up at the hotel. We are doing a 3 day land before and we are at the Port Orleans French Quarter in case anyone else is.

Welcome Camden's mom! Glad to see you are coming! Since you were on board for the Halloween cruise before, clue us in on what Disney has planned for the festivities! I heard the TOT on board isn't that great? We will have to get a number of kids so i make sure I bring enough candy :thumbsup2 . What time is the sail away party? Do we have enough time to meet before or after? What does everyone think? I think the life boat drill is at 4:00.

we are staying at the popcentury on friday nite, and then moving over to the residence inn for saturday. Going back to popcentury after the cruise for a week!
we were scheduled to stay at port oleans, cuz we are a family of 5, but now we are doing 2 rooms with my parents in an adjoining one, so one of the kids will be listed with them. Thank goodness!! That saved us a lot!!! I don't look forward to the days we vacation at disney without a set of grandparents!!

I think the sail away party is like 5:00. The bus is picking us up about 1100 or so from the hotel. We will be there early to board and I think they do our cruise check in at the hotel when you initially arrive. I am excited to be there early and enjoy the pool. The trick or treating was so-so. There was a treasure map in our rooms that showed the stations. The lines were crazy and pretty much all you did was snake around the deck, slowly. I think you guys have a better idea. Cammie didn't end up with that much candy( not that she needed it) for all the time we spent waiting in lines.
Does everyone have costumes? I am too excited. My girlfriends mom made my dress and I am going to be peasant bell in the blue dress. Cammie is going fot the little mermaid look. Last time we were Peter Pan and Tinkerbell!
