We're coming down for 2 weeks next year! We'll be there Oct 25 - Nov 7 preferred spot with a rental from Greenberg.

It's going to be crowded for us. It all started with just the 4 of us - me, DH, DS, and DD. My 2 nieces moved in with us a month ago, so they're going with us now too.
The first week my parents will be joining us and then the second week DHs parents will be there. (They're going to overlap 2 nights)

My sister-in-laws family said they might want to come also, but I can't get them to make a reservation!

Good for you OnlyDisney. And I bet your nieces will love going with your family. Two weeks is a nice long visit. I'm curious to know how much the Fort empties out that second week after Halloween weekend compared to the first week which will be busy I bet.

Anyone in the family (DH and DS?) :scratchin willing to throw a tent on the Preferred coquina pad? That would offload a few people from the trailer and make it a little roomier. This time of year is great camping weather.

You should be glad you made the reservation already. With Halloween on a Saturday for 2015, I think it will be a tough weekend to book later on.

PS - how many people will the trailer that you booked sleep? And hey, your SiL has to do her own thing...

I think the SIL will have to do her own thing. By my count there are a coupld of days that you have 10 people on the site. The rest of the time there is 8. Unless her family is 2 or less and not there during the overlap period you cannot go over 10. Yes that includes children under 3 (already called and confirmed). You could try and get them in a site close to yours. If they are very trustworthy you could have them pay you and book 2 sites?

I just made a res for 2 four seat golf carts from Kenny! We almost didn't go with the carts this time, but we had such fun with them last time we decided to go for it. They will fit everyone except for the two days when the grandparents overlap.

I've tried telling sister-in-law that time of year sells out and she needs to book now. Especially since she'd be out a small amount of money with Disney and Greenberg to hold a spot - fully refundable. (I even offered to put up the deposit money) They are more used to making plans for things on the spur of the moment. She says that if they decide to come and it is booked they'll just stay at a hotel, which kind of defeats the purpose of all of us going together (we're doing half days at the park and hanging out at the Fort the other half).

If it were my sister I'd just make the res in her name and pay for it. Then when she decided she wanted to come I could say "Good decision, good thing I already made a res for you!" Since it's my sister-in-law I'm not sure how she'd take it.

The nieces are so excited! They've never been to Disney.

We're planning on bringing a small tent also. DH is going to stay in it; any kids who want to camp out also will take turns in it.

We've reserved the Belvedere. Grandparents will get the queen bed. I'm going to sleep on the pull out sofa except for the 2 nights the grandparents overlap then we'll have one set of grandparents on the pullout sofa while I'll be in the tent with DH. Plenty of bunks for the kids at the end of the trailer.
