I've been trying to book a vacation for our family from Oct05-12 on Disney website but all of the delux resorts state that there is no rooms available!:confused3 Can anyone give me some insight on this?:sad1:

Thanks in advance

It' the Wine and Food Fest. and since all the deluxe rooms are either walking distance or monorail excessable to Epcot they tend to sell out first.

Try calling instead. I booked a room by phone last week (Nov 29-Dec 8), and when I go online just to compare and see what else is available, it tells me there are no rooms available regardless of which resort I choose. I've even tried resorts I don't want, just to see what happens, and it keeps telling me there are no rooms. I know they were having a lot of trouble with their reservation system last week, so maybe the website's having problems too.

I would check back later or call directly, or check with a Disney TA. I am a TA and I just checked our booking site and there is currently a system error. It will be fixed soon and that is probably the same problem that you are having.

I had a client call me last week saying that she wanted to book for next April and the Disney site wouldn't book that far out. I logged on and booked it for her that day. She got exactly what she wanted and she didn't have to do anything but call me. Sometimes I hear that the Disney site is a little less accurate than other forms of booking.

Good Luck and enjoy your trip! I would love to go during F&W Festival!

We're going Oct 4-8...added a day to make it Oct 3. I had to do a separate reservation for the 3rd at room only because the same room wasn't available. Its columbus day weekend, and I really think its pretty full. Its been this way for some time now too. Good luck!

I believe the 45 day final payment is due for these dates starting this week, so maybe some people will cancel.

Good luck!!

Denise

I believe the dates around Columbus Day weekend are highly booked for several reasons: Food and Wine Festival, MNSSHP and school holidays.

I've had the POFQ booked for my trip, Oct 3-8, for 2 months and at the time I made my ressie, it was the only moderate available. Since I made the ressie, I've been trying to move to CBR, CSR, WL or AKL and none of them have available. In fact, the only resort that has consistently been available is SSR. I've always been able to change resorts, especially once AP rates become available, but at this point, I'm thrilled to have a room at POFQ.

That's Columbus Day weekend. They're probably all booked for that weekend.

You guys have me worried. I'll be there Sept 28 to Oct 8. Just how busy is it going to be??? The only other time we have been was July 6-8. Is it comparable? I choose this time because I thought it wouldn't be as busy as July.

This is the third time we have gone the first week of October (we are going 9/29-10/6) and we did not think it was bad at all. We have not been in July, but we have been in June and my own personal opinion is that there is no comparison between the two. June was much busier.

We are there during that time.

We have already made our final payment, but the 45-day due date for check-in on 10/6 (our check-in date) is this Wednesday. You might check on Wednesday or Thursday to see if there is any availability from cancelled ressies.

Given the facts of a) Columbus Day weekend and b) more and more schools having Fall Break (like ours), your odds of finding a deluxe room are fairly slim this close to the time. If you're willing to go to a moderate or value resort, there may be availability in those, since there are more rooms per resort in those categories.

We've had our WL vacation for that week booked for about 3 months now, and felt we were cutting it close in early May when we booked for this October.

We are going in October too. This will be our second time going in October. 2 years ago, the attractions did not seem that busy. I think that most people during this time are their for the food fest and golf. Not for the park attractions. We went in Sept. one year, and that seems to be the time if you are looking for less people. The parks are not open as late but I remember going on a ride, get to the exit point, no new riders and being allowed to go again, and again.

Columbus Day Weekend is the busiest part of October, but even at its busiest it won't compare to July. Don't worry. October is great!

One thing to remember too is that a lot of locals will get hotel rooms for a night or two to enjoy F&W.

Good Luck!

What is the Race for the Taste and is it an every year marathon? Is it the same time every year? Sounds interesting!

It will be very busy during this week because of Fall breaks , Columbus day weekend and F&W festival, also MNSSHP. I have heard last October was pretty busy as well. October used to be a slower time but that is not the case anymore. I booked Poly a year ago for October. I'm not thrilled about going to WDW at a busy time but DD can't miss school.
