Please forgive my ignorance but what long weekend falls in Oct for Americans? (I'm Canadian and here it is Thanksgiving). Is it always on the same day or does it flucuate? Anyone know when the long weekend will be in Oct 2004?

I am in the midst of planning my wedding at the Swan Resort for Oct of 2004! I need to pick a date and need info on crowds ect for Oct...anytime I should particularily avoid??

We have been to WDW in Oct 2000-I don't remember it being busy but it could have been we just hit the right park on the right days!

We will have people with us who have never been before so of course we want them to have the best possible expereince!

Also if any one has any groovey disney wedding ideas I would LOVE to hear them!

Halloween is the only holiday that I see in Oct. 2004 that falls on a weekend. Remember that MNSSHP will be going on as well (not sure of the dates though) In my opinion, I would say the first few weeks of Oct. will probably be slower then towards the end of the month.
Congrats on the wedding and happy planning.

My information is that Columbus day is monday, Oct 11. It is usually the 2nd Monday in october. As someone who got married in October also, I should warn you that Saturday October 16 is "sweetest day" and may be popular for weddings. We didn't know our wedding day would fall on sweetest day, and a lot of things were booked up.
