Hi all! Well, posting from a new laptop. My laptop finally bite the dust today. It was making strange sounds for the past month and today it finally took the big one! We could probably get it fixed, but it would cost us the same as a new one. The keyboard stopped working, so Garry looked up online about new laptops and found this one. SO, I guess we can say it's a late Christmas present. Not just to me but Garry also uses it too. This one has a fingerprint recognition on it so only the person who's fingerprint it registered to the webpage or email can open it. That's pretty cool.

Sandy, we are suppose to get more snow tonight, but I don't think we will get it. They say Tuesday and Wednesday are the days we are gonna get what you guys are getting now, but we shall see. It was sunny today, cold but sunny!

Well, gonna run. We have baths and nightly routine to get ready for school.

TTFN

Julie, awesome laptop. Never heard of the fingerprint deal. Cool. I agree, you might just as well buy a new one rather than put money in an old one. Even this one isn't perfect after the motherboard and hard drive replacement. I'm just waiting to see what I want to do next.

Heidi made it back from her long weekend. The roads were icy and she had to put on a lot of miles from Stacey's to the girls and then back here. She is NOT like her mother and that's a good thing.

Puppy class is amazing. I can't believe how fast Lilly picks up on everything.

Ok...I finally figured out my name and password but I didn't save it on the computer so I really don't know what I put in so this may be a hello and goodbye. I haven't read anything yet and probably won't tonight. Brain freeze. But Hello all:cool1:

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!! BONNIE POSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are pigs flying? Nice to see you stranger!!! I hope you will be able to post again! MISS YOU!!!!

First a Christmas card and now a post! Wow! Great to hear from you Bonnie!

Heidi: Glad to hear that Chris will be home soon and that you don't have to go to DC!

Sunny but cold again. Supposed to snow tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday. I don't think they have mentioned amounts yet.

Happy Belated Birthday Brooke!! I hope she had a special day.

It is freezing cold outside!!!!!! Driving in the temp on my car said 2 degrees so I am sure with the wind chill it is below zero. We got about 6 inches of snow. I feel sorry for the kids that have to wait for the bus since most schools weren't cancelled. I was hoping for a snow day, but we only had an hour delay. Today the high will be 15 and the low will be -10, hoping my pipes won't freeze.

Had a stressful day yesterday afternoon. My puppy did so good for being in a car for 5 hours. I was extremely mad at the girls mom yesterday. I told her I would bring them home at 1:00 on Sunday because I had to get Lilly to puppy classes. After battling the snow and icy roads, I made it up there at 1:00. Pull up to the house and the girls mom is at church 20 miles away because she was thinking I said 1:45 but the doors were unlocked. Nope not unlocked, girls pounding on the door and ringing their doorbell to try and wake their step dad to let them in but he never heard that or the phone. Their mom told them to call grandpa but he was about 30 miles away. She said well just wait for grandpa and there was no way I was going to leave them outside freezing in a snowstorm. So they called their friend and she was home so I was able to drive them further to her house and they would wait for their mom. She was very apologetic but I was already frustrated with her since she told me I could pick up the girls on Friday night then changed her mind because they were having company over. Then she said she would ask her dad to meet me on Sat morning but never got back to me if he could do it until 6:45am Saturday. She forgot and had deleted my text message. I rushed down as fast as I could in bad weather to tried and make puppy school only to find out when I get there the class was cancelled because of the weather.

Mom - Thanks so much for doing my laundry. I would have never made it through the night last night with the frustrations!

Working from home today. We have about 5 inches of snow and it is still snowing. Then sleet and freezing rain expected on top of it this evening. Obviously here in the south schools have cancelled. Turner hasn't even gotten out of bed and it is 10:40AM! I've already been on 2 conference calls and sent a dozen email messages and started looking at year-end data. Wish i could have slept in.

Turner's hockey team had 2 games this weekend at home and they won both. We leave Friday monring for West Palm Beach for 4 games. Hope it is very, very warm!!!

Be back on later.

Love all the chatter. I always miss reading from everyone.

Susan, I would hate 5 or more inches and on top of that freezing rain. How scary. I hate driving in the snow alone. I can't imagine attempting to drive on that!!

Wonder if Bonnie will find her way back, LOL.

Heidi, absolutely no problem on your laundry. Glad I thought of it.

Susan - How scary. I cannot imagine snow on top of freezing rain. The freezing rain looks so scary.

We ended up with about 5" of beautiful snow and then POW!!! The sleet and then the freezing drizzle all eveing and all night. Today is awful. The dogs don't even know how to walk on this stuff. Every step they take breaks underneath their weight and the sidewalk and driveway are a sheet of ice so they can't walk across them. They look so pitiful just trying to figure out how to find a spot to do their business. So, they have both finally peed and pooped and back in for a snooze.

Me? Another day working from home. No way anyone is getting out of our neighborhood for a while. The entrance is a steep curverd hill. But alas, one stupid fool did try and found out what a mistake he had made. His car is up against a mailbox and abandoned at the bottom of the hill now. My cars will not be moving today. I have my coffee and Paul is fixing me breakfast. Then a day of working from home.

Glad Chris will be coming home today, Heidi. I know you missed him.

I guess some of you guys are getting excited about your cruise. I wish I was going too.

Susan - Wow, what a nightmare. Poor puppies!

It is freezing here too. It was so cold that I couldn't get my automatic window back up on my car today. I had to literally pull it up while pressing the button and finally got it up. Thankfully my puppies are still with my mom so they can run out in the backyard quickly and come back in.

Heidi: Sorry about your troubles. I am sure Julie can relate!

Susan: Stay in and stay warm. Freezing rain is the worst. Yeah Turner for winning your games!

Snow to start later. I hate winter!

Once again, we are not to get out of the 20's. We spent pretty much all of December in the 20's (except for those 3 days we were gone) and we are back in the 20's for the forseable future. I hate being cold!

I hope they don't cancel PSR since they don't have it next week. I can never figure out why if MLK day in on a Monday and the PSR grades are divided between Monday and Tuesday, why the younger kids on Tuesday don't have PSR. It isn't like the kids will be ahead or behind the Monday class since they are different grades.

Yikes Susan. Guess I will take what we get here. Freezing rain sounds horrible. I wouldn't even think about venturing out either.....especially with your hill. Heidi, I picture Susan's neighbor's car sliding like the one on I25 in the Springs last snowstorm.

Heidi, wow, that's cold if you couldn't get your window up. Crazy. Ya, honestly, it's good that the puppies are here for the backyard. I just made Llilly go out and she didn't want to. Sable hasn't gotten off the loveseat.

Denine, interesting about PSR.

Barb, feeling any better?

Julie, how's the foot coming along?

Denine - I am with you, I am tired of being cold!! After the cold walk this morning, I am ready to head to FL and get warm! How much snow are they predicting?

Mom - I am so bummed, I forgot to grab a yummy breakfast burrito this morning!!!!! Darn it!! What are you doing this weekend?

Heidi, bet we cross posted. We don't have plans other than go to True Grit one of the days. Why? Wanna do something?

I was thinking about trying to do a movie night and dinner with Chris back because he wants to see you guys. Once again I am inviting myself but we will go see True Grit with you!

Love it. Sounds good to me. You do realize that True Grit is a western!! BTW, they are talking about another cold snap not this weekend but the weekend that Stacey is having her Cici's benefit and when we fly out of here. I hope it's not snow. I really want to go to Cici's. And, I don't want to worry whether or not our flight is cancelled. Ummmm, someoneor something is snoring in this house and it's not me.
:rotfl2:

I know that, but Chris loves Westerns too so you all will enjoy it and I will be snoring! Of course you will have to put up with the dogs again this weekend, LOL!!!! Chris said he is going to tear down some of the wall and ceiling in the garage to see if he can better insulate the pipes so they don't freeze while we are gone. I told him we could just shut it off, but then realized Cris will be there so can't do that!

I knew I loved Chris. I didn't realize that he likes Westerns, too. DO NOT sit next to me. I want to hear the movie. LOL. Dad was saying the same thing about turning off the water and then we realized Cris will be there. You will have to tell her everything. At least she has Uncle Larry. BTW, Uncle Larry said he will change his profile picture to match what kind of seizure day he's having. He said that way I don't have to annoy :rotfl2::lmao:him as often. I see he already changed it today.:thumbsup2
