Hi everyone!

Sandy and Heidi, thanks for updating us on Tyler. Bless his little heart! Hang in there guys! I'm sure he will start feeling better soon!

Hugs to all of you! We are here for you!

Nothing else going on around here. We have family fitness night at school tonight. I will try and get back on later!

TTFN

Thanks for the update Sandy. I sure hope he starts feeling better tomorrow!

Barb: Kaleigh is over her problem, Jerry still has his sore throat and I am still in the bathroom every 20 minutes which is better than every 10! I NEED the antibiotic to kick in so I can go to work tomorrow.

Checking back in to see how Tyler is doing. Good to hear from you Sandy. Been thinking about you guys all day. Wish I could do something for you.

Denine - Hope you are feeling better today so you can work. Is Jerry feeling any better?

Susan - Thinking of you. Hope everything is going as best it can with your dad. We think of you daily.

Barb - Thanks for thinking of us.

Tyler woke up for a little bit last night before we left. He went potty and walked back (with help) to the bed. While he was walking he asked "Where's Grandpa?" and then he asked me why I was in my jammies. It was so good to hear him talking a little bit. Grandpa made him smile a few times last night and it was so good to see that. What made my night was that he reached out for me and wanted me to hold him. I was very excited because he hasn't wanted anything to do with me, only grandma. Yesterday the doctors freaked Stacey out and said that the reason he might not be having seizures is because he could be bleeding in the brain, but thankfully his bruises are going away and I guess that is a good sign that there isn't any blood in the brain. He also started his antibiotics for the pneumonia yesterday. He looked better yesterday and stayed awake a lot longer. I hope today is an even better day. I won't be able to see him today because I have to go spend the night at my sister's house to watch Joey tonight and tomorrow.

Hi all, I see Heidi posted our night with Tyler last night. It was so good to see him more alert. :thumbsup2 That bleeding on the brain is a horrible thought that I put on a shelf way in the back of my brain!

Wow, it was so difficult driving last night. It was snowy, getting icy, and all the interstates in that area were closed because Obama was in town. Ted did a really good job avoiding traffic. Drive home was easy but icy. I am real nervous about Heidii and Stacey driving to Monument tonight and then back to Denver tomorrow. It is to start snowing again and pretty much snow the entire weekend.

Thanks for all your thoughts. :grouphug:

So glad to hear Tyler seems to be improving! He is still in my prayers! Be careful driving Heidi!

We have an actual sunny day today! It is also above freezing!

My UTI isn't really much better. I don't know if the ATB isn't working or what. They sent out a culture, but that takes a few days to come back. We will see.

I did make it to work today.

Oh man, I am soooooooooooooo frustrated. The disboards isn't keeping me logged in. I went to the tech board and I'm not the only one. Anyone here having the same problem?

Denine, I didn't realize you have a UTI now, too. Good grief. Kaleigh and now you.

Pretty much snow all weekend here. Heidi made it safely to Monument. Now have to worry that Stacey does, too. Then the same tomorrow getting them both back up here.

Stacey wanted to do it on her own today so I had a free day. It's killing me as I want to be up there with Tyler. Then I talked to Joey on the phone today and now I want to be with her. Wish I could be in two places at the same time. Tyler ate a whole Keto meal today. We are excited about that. Can't remember if I told you but he had a seizure today so he is exhausted from that and from the pneumonia as well. He slept all day again.

Susan, hope you and your dad are doing ok.

Hi, everyone. I tried to post several times last night but I kept losing my connection too. Oh well. Looks like it is working better today.

Glad Tyler is improving and eating some. I still have him and the whole family in my prayers. He is surrounded by so much love.

Denine, I hope you fell much better soo and your household gets a healthy lift up soon.

Dad is still holding his own but is definitely getting weaker and sleeping a lot more. We are fighting to get back in control of the pain. He seems to be having a lot more breakthrough pain. The liquid pain meds seem to dull it but I think they are going to increase the dosage of his pain patch.

I am going to get a deep tissue massage at 11:30 then heading to my Dad's for the rest of the day. I'll come home late tonight and then back up there tomorrow.

Paul and Turner are heading to Charleston for hockey. Paul will head to Myrtle Beach Monday night or Tuesday morning. His mom is finally having her heart surgery on Wednesday. This will be a tough week since he will be there and I will be here with everything to deal with without his help.

Please keep us all in your prayers as well and I will keep you guys posted as best I can.

Love to all.:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Susan: Definitely get the pain under control. Keeping you and your family in my prayers!

I am finally feeling better!

Sandy: Poor Tyler. He has been through so much in his young life. I hope he gets better soon!

We are off to Amish when Jerry gets out of the shower. We have been housebound for so long now with everyone being sick. Jerry still has a sore throat, but it gets better during the day.

It is sunny again today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susan, I am sure that it will be tough for you and Paul. Both going through things with parents. Your family is in our prayers as well. You are sooooo smart getting a massage.

Denine, glad that you can get out for some fresh air. I don't think we have seen the sun for probably 6 or 7 days. Not even in TX.

Update, they MAY send Tyler home today but on oxygen. At least he is on a low level. He is talking better and walking further. He walked around the room today and thought he was tough. Loved seeing him today. Heidi is with Joey.

Snow is holding off and hopefully Stacey and Heidi can both get to their homes before it starts. We are to get snow 4 days in a row. Ted is on call. We are home and I am exhausted.

Sandy, glad to hear about Tyler! I'm so happy for your entire family. I will still keep the prayers coming your way!

Susan, sorry to hear about your families! I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi Barb! What exciting things are you doing this weekend?

Well, I was in the emergency room yesterday morning. I have STREP! I haven't had it in over 25 yrs!!!! :confused3 the ER Dr. said this was one of the worse cases he has seen in awhile. I had a little sore throat Thursday but nothing to be concerned about. Woke up Friday and couldn't talk with out gagging and I had my tonsils taken out when I was 15! Anyways, they gave me liquid lidocaine (sp) while in the hospital to try and numb my throat so it wouldn't hurt so much.. then they gave me a Z pac and vicodin for the pain. My throat is still killing me and my glands are sore to touch right now. If things don't get better by tomorrow, I might have to go back in to see if they can give me something else. Unfortunately Garry had to use a sick day (of course not for his health:guilty:) so he came home from work and took care of Brooke and got my meds. when they were ready and took really good care of me. I felt bad that he had to use a sick day for me.. it's too bad he can't work from home. With all that going on, our bathroom sick got clogged and he had to take the whole thing apart and snaked it out. Now the sink runs BEAUTIFULLY! Today, Makenzie had Girl Scout roller skating and Garry took G Dog for a hair cut and then he took both Brooke and Garry on our 5 mile walk in the metro parks. Unfortunately I couldn't go this time since I feel so yucky! But I did manage to get a nap in. I think that is the only way I "heal". Hopefully I will be tons better by tomorrow. I can't stand being sick! I usually just suck everything up, but this time this Strep has got me beat! I really think labor with all three kids was WAY LESS PAINFUL!!! And I am dead serious! This thing has my foot surgery looking like a stubbed toe!

Well, enough of my lame problem. When you look at what Sandy, Susan, Heidi and everyone else on here has been going through....... It really doesn't look all the bad. I guess I was just keeping you all posted as to what's going on around here. ABSOLUTELY nothing!!!!

Well, I will check back in later!

TTFN

Sandy: So glad that Tyler gets to go home!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie: Sorry to hear you are a sickie too. Sore throats are painful enough without them being strep. Hope you are feeling better soon. I hadn't had a UTI in over 10 probably 15 years and looke what happened. I got it and then it came back a week later. Maybe we are going back to our childhoods! LOL!

My Wii Fit age this morning WAS 26!

I lost 1.5 lbs this week so I am a little over 12 pounds lost! I have a LONG way to go though.

It was SO nice getting out. It was a pretty drive with the sun out. We ate lunch in Amish at our usual place. It was even around 40! It felt almost balmy!

Kaleigh is getting ready for bed and then Jerry and I will go watch the Olympics and have some wine.

Good grief, Julie. I feel so bad for you. Strep HURTS! I remember when I had it a couple of years ago all I wanted to do was sleep. Are you like that? Ted would take sick leave like that to if I got sick. Don't feel bad. That's what love is all about! Glad that Garry is there for you. DON'T over do it. Take it easy, GOT IT??

Hey Denine, I found your twelve pounds. It's sitting on MY hips!:rotfl2::eek: :rolleyes:With all that we have gone through lately we haven't eaten at home until tonight. How was Amish? Wow, how awesome about your Wii fit age.:thumbsup2 Keep it up!

Another sunny day! Amazing!

Today we are cleaning. Everything has been neglected since everyone has been sick. Jerry's sore throat is finally better. Yeah!

Supposed to get snow tonight.

Sandy: It is so hard to eat properly when you are away from home.

We had such a nice time in Amish. I was SO happy to get out of the house. I was literally house bound with the UTI. I was in the bathroom every 10 minutes, literally.

It's sure sad that I don't want to post anymore since I have to log in each and every time.

Denine, glad you got out and enjoyed it. I need to clean my house too. It has been neglected because of my arm. Doctor told me to just lay low. It's driving me nuts. I thought l was getting better last week and now it's back. I DON'T want or expect Ted to do it though. He works all week and shouldn't have to do my share, too. I guess I will grin and bear it.

Julie, I thought of you today. They kept telling us that each day we were to receive 1-3" of snow each day for 4 days. So far, two of those days have just been dustings. I love snow storms and we just don't get them :(. How are you feeling today? Throat any better?

Susan - I will keep you in my prayers. Hopefully they can keep your dad's pain under control. I hope everything goes okay with Paul's mom's surgery. Will be keeping you in my prayers. I am thinking of you.

Denine - Glad you felt better and could get out this weekend. I really want to visit a Amish community......sometime, hopefully, I can!

Julie - You poor thing. Strep throat does not sound like fun. I have never had strep throat (knock on wood). I hope you feel better. Get some rest! That was nice of Gary to take care of you.

Barb - how was your weekend?

I was lucky enough to be at my sister's house when they surprised Joey with Tyler coming home. She thought he was coming home the next day and then Tyler busted through the doors and said hello. Joey quickly jumped off my lap and said "that's my brother" and she ran over to him. Then they just stared at each other until Stacey said that she could give him a hug. I think she didn't know what to do since he had the oxygen on him. She was excited. Then I spent all day doing laundry yesterday, 8 loads....yuck!

Heidi: Cute story about Joey and Tyler!

Sandy: Do they know what is causing your arm pain or are they just treating it?

We were supposed to get freezing rain and snow but we only got a little freezing rain and no snow. It is all rain. As far as I am concerend, it can pour for the next few hours and get rid of all the snow. I am tired of looking at white all the time! That won't happen though. It is just a light rain.

Did anyone watch the men's hockey game last night? Exciting to watch the US beat Canada. The US goalie was amazing!

Barb: See any good movies this weekend?

Julie: How are you feeling?

Susan: ?

Denine, I am surprised in your neck of the woods that you get rain in the winter time. We only get snow. No, they are treating it. I have been fine with that but the last couple of days, I think it might be a tad worse again. I might have to have that MRI after all and really don't want to since last time I had to pay the entire thing. I honestly think it is the laptop since I have been on it again.

I'm waiting for Stacey and kids. I am going to Tyler's pediatrician appt today. Stacey has decided that Joey is going to so she doesn't think that it is a cake walk for Tyler.

Stacey just left. The doctor kept him on oxygen for another week. She can take him off for brief periods of time however so that is good. I'm sure that it's hard for a four year old to be on a leash. He must be getting better as he was full of it at the doctors office. He came back here exhausted however. Ate good and then slept.

We have SUN!!!! That is so exciting.
