Denine, I took off the Halloween decorations yesterday and boy did I have a mess on my hands. My gel clings melted and ran down the window of the door. Some did earlier so I took them down thinking the rest was ok. Then yesterday I had major explotion. No more gel clings for me! I liked the Wii and then summer hit and I quit using it. I am on a mission to lose a lot again for the maiden voyage cruise. Hopefully that will give me the determination like the PC cruise did.

Heidi, I just left the house to get away from the computer and phones. I have now relaxed and am totally excited.

I was wondering about Barb as well. I hope she did good on her trip. I worry!

Susan, how was the TOT? I thought of you doing it. It was so beautiful here. The kids had great temps for once.

Julie, how are you guys doing? Things slowing down a tad I hope. Did your little ones go TOT?

Heidi, friendly reminder that tomorrow is Cody's birthday. I forgot it so I am now heading out for a card. If you don't realize it but we made a deal that no gifts after 18 with you guys and Larry reminded me for Cody. Not sure if there will be a party.

Sandy: Glad I don't have any gel clings! What a mess.

Jerry will be home soon, so off to make dinner.

I gotta do my bike later, hopefully in peace.

Mom - My gel clings did fine. I even saved them for next year. Thanks for the reminder. I do remember the 18 agreement, I wonder if they did. I plan on texting him and posting on his FB tomorrow.

Good morning! Wondering how Barb's trip went.

I am such a nerd but it's the little things that keep me motivated! So I have been working out in the morning before work for the last 3 weeks, this week the guy at the front desk has said "good morning Heidi" before I can even get my card out to be checked in! I have been proud of myself because I have actually been going consistently that now they know me at the front desk!

Hello all.

Nothing to say today, but just wanted to check in.

Hi guys, bumped into an old friend today at Kohl' and had lunch. It was a nice day. Heidi, it was Tricia and Aunt Elfa.

Nope, are you ready for this? She sprung for hot dogs at Costco.:rotfl2: It was fun!!!!! I felt so bad eating a hot dog because I weighed in today with a 2.2 loss.

Last night when I was driving home from work I got a flat tire. Went to Discount Tires and they said there was a nail in it and the way the nail was they couldn't fix it and I would have to get a new tire. Luckily the tire was under warranty. It will take a few days to get here so I am driving on my spare tire until Monday.

Heidi: Just be careful driving on the spare. They are not meant to be driven long distances or at high speeds.

Well, Ohio now has gambling after yesterday. It is not a good thing. The rich will get richer and the poor will become addicts.

Have you heard about the sicko in Cleveland? They have found 10 bodies and 1 skull in his house and aren't done looking.

Denine - thanks, my spare is actually a regular full size tire so I don't have to worry about it. I have been reading in the news about that sicko in Cleveland, that is horrible. So sad that they are still finding bodies.

Denine, ya, heard about that guy. Crazy! Wonder how many more bodies they will find. I think about Garry. Is he anywhere near it? Wonder if he has to do anything. I'm with you on the gambling. We have it here. We NEVER EVER go.

Hey guys! ToT was a lot of fun around here. We when the entire 2 hours!! LOL!! All the kids lasted that night. Makenzie was a car hop, Garry was Anikan Skywalker, and Brooke was Belle. I will try and get a picture on here sometime. It was a cool evening, but still nice.

I'm getting over my "annual" bronchitis. It was the sinus infection that went into it like it always does.

Sandy, the sicko lives IN Cleveland, we are in a western suburb, so unless they find a body from someone around here, Garry won't have to be involved, but I know he will find out more details then they give to the press..... but I don't think I want to know!

Report cards come out on monday! I know all the kids did super! I'm waiting to see if we get the "straight A" award!!! (from what their teachers tell me... yep!;)) Makenzie was student of the week last week! She got her picture taken and a certificate! Not bad out of close to 500 kids in the school!!! All of them are doing great and really love school! They are having a ball! We even went to the kids school Halloween dance again this year. This year they actually had to turn people away because there were so many who wanted to go.

Denine and Sandy, my view on this gambling thing is... It's not being built by my home so if I don't go to it, it doesn't effect me or my family except any revenue that the state might get, IF we get any. Anyways, people will gamble here or take their bus trips to surrounding states to gamble..... Gambling has always been an issue.... just like all the bingo games at these churches... I have never been, but know people who have and they blow LOTS of money just on bingo. If I don't gamble... I have no reason to go (which I don't). So, it really doesn't affect me one way or the other. This casino thing is only allowing 1 casino in 4 different cities (Columbus, Cinny, Toledo and Cleveland) and the place they are talking about in Cleveland has been empty for years (it was a place called the Flats that had all sorts of bars... that all the bars closed up and now nothing is down there). With the addiction thing... we have alcoholics who drive down any street in any city with a bar on the corner (or in some cities... LOTS of bars) we aren't twisting their arms to drink, they do. So, yes we will have gambling in Ohio. Will I give them our money so I can gamble, no. I don't see spending money to get little money in return.

Nothing else new going on here. Makenzie is done with outdoor soccer until the spring and starting this Sunday begins her indoor soccer. The Big Guy is skipping football until the spring and then next year he can do tackle. Brooke, not in anything yet, but I'm looking into dance classes starting in Jan. Plus she informed me she wants a real guitar so she can play!

Well, that's about it. Oh yeah, we won't be on Dream anytime soon either. Try pricing for 5 people.....:scared1: just take lots of pictures!

Hi to Barb, Susan, Sally, Heidi and everyone else!
Be back soon!

TTFN

Hey Julie, I just wasn't sure HOW close you guys are to Cleveland. I'm with you. I wouldn't want all the details. Halloween sounded like fun for all of you. Gambling.....we have a huge issue of drunks leaving the casinos, driving down the mtn and getting in accidents. They have the option of the interstate or a beautiful drive down a canyon. Of course they all choose the canyon and I think they think they are avoiding the state patrol. Anyway, many times a year they end up in Clear Creek. I hate that they take MY life in their hands as well. I no longer take that route because simply stated, I'm afraid to. OH NO, you have a football player? I went to one game of a guy I babysat for. Heard all the helmets clanging and had to leave in tears. Seriously, it scared me that he would get injured. I never went to another of his games. He was an excellent player for Columbine and was there during the killings. He even got a full football ride to the Coast Guard Academy. I just could never watch him again out of fear. Aren't I totally weird about that? (I realize it) Sorry about your annual bronchitis. I always use to get it every Sept but haven't for the last 5 or 6 years. Knock on wood. Maybe you will "out grow" it like I did. I really think the difference is having school age kids.

Ok, so I just answered the door. A nervous teen was standing there offering me a free gift of Glade Air Freshner. I didn't give him enough time to ask what for as I knew I didn't want to hear it. A white van was stopped outside my driveway with others in it. Scouting out the neighborhood? One of those horrible teen door to door things?

I completely understand your fear, that would bother me too. The only GOOD thing about this gambling thing here is that these casinos will be far enough away from us ( I usually don't take the freeways around here if I can help it) that we shouldn't get those drunks around here. BUT like I said before, we have so many local bars and bars in between here and where the casinos are, drunks shouldn't be any more then they are now, but we shall see. I'm not a casino fan, but what can you do? Times have changed...... I think that the old times are better then now! LOL!

You are absolutely correct. There are drunks everywhere! Gambling isn't the only reason there are drunk drivers. You can pretty much guarantee in the canyon though that it is the reason. We know of another highway that teens take to a foothills area where they have "parties". Of course there have been several deaths there as well.

Julie - Hoping Gary doesn't have to get involved with anything in that sicko case, I'm with you...I don't want to know any of the inside information that I am sure Gary knows about, way too disturbing. That's awesome the kids are doing so great...you definitely are entitled to proud mama moments! I'm with you on Casinos, I really don't care as long as they are not by me. My dad and I went one time just on the way to a christmas party and we had fun. We put in $10, my dad lost it all and had to borrow from my winnings, and I still took home $30! (ya, we are huge gamblers here) Even when I go to Las Vegas I don't gamble! My friend booked the maiden voyage of the Dream with her family of 5 (she actually has 3 more kids but she is not taking the older ones out of school) and they got two connecting inside stateroom for a little over $3500.
