Heidi, we have to quit dreaming of the DREAM!!! I just don't want to get my hopes up!
There is 1250 rooms on that ship and I doubt there will be that many gold and platinum members booking on Monday.....I have HOPE that we will get on there.

We had a late start today at 10:00, but I came in early anyway. TGIF!

I was wondering if you went in early. Probably a good idea to "beat" all the other drivers. How was it?

Final measurement here was 28".

Drive wasn't too bad. A little slick in some places but the main roads are all just wet now.

I got out and had some fun. Took your check to the bank and they had it all decorated so cute. Kind of like trick or treat stations.

I can't wait to try the new ships!

Work was better today, but the DON is back making out the schedule instead of the nurse Liaison (sp) so I am back to 2 days for November.

It is beautiful out and I thought it was going to rain pretty much all day. We are going for a walk soon.

Hoping the rain stays away for TOT tomorrow night.

Sandy: That is a lot of snow!

Making applesauce this weekend sometime. One of the grocery stores had Ohio apples for $1 a pound. Can't beat that. I haven't made applesauce in so long. It is the best!

Denine, I have canned applesauce in the past. There is nothing better than your own homemade applesauce that is for sure. I had a friend that use to work at a grocery store and she would get a variety of apples for next to nothing so we both canned and loved having the variety. I miss her working there now. Good for you that the rain held off. Pixie dust for you guys and TOT. We will be fine with the temp but it will be a wet, muddy mess with all this snow.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandy: I was wondering how to TOT in the snow! It will be windy and chilly, but no rain for tonight.

Yesterday was a bonus day. It was so warm and pretty.

Today is Jerry's mom's birthday so he is going to bring her over here later.

Making turkey soup.

Still have to carve the pumpkins.

Happy Halloween!

Denine, your MIL has a Halloween birthday? I don't think I would have liked that as a kid. The kids around here will be fine. The sidwalks have been shoveled so if the kids stay off the lawns they will be fine.

At least the snowstorm was before today.

Yep, she has a Halloween birthday.

Just waiting for them to get back so we can carve pumpkins.

B O O ! Happy Halloween!

Just checking in. Paul is in Gerogia working but will be home tomorrow. Turner is at a friends house and I am staying with my friend and her son tonight since her husband is out of town too. I get to go TOT with a 5 year old. It ought to be a lot of fun.

My dad is at the coast on a fishing trip with a bunch of guys from church. Thanks goodness my brother is one of them. My dad went through a bout of dry heaves on the drive down. I got some phenergan called in to a pharmacy down there for him (he forgot to take his with him). I hope the whole trip isn't bad for him.

I went with Turner and Hailey to the corn maze last night by flashlight. We were in the maze for 2 and a half hours! We had so much fun. I'm glad they let me tag along.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wow, Susan. Sounds like you will have a blast tonight. I wish I had a little one to go out TOT with. How is your weather looking for tonight? Good for your Dad going fishing! But with that being said, I bet you feel much better that your brother is there, too. Corn maze, huh? I have never been. It just never works out for us.

We had 37 TOT kids. That made me happy since they didn't come till late and I had given up hope that we would even get one. Heidi and Chris came over since they only get one or two so the kids that came got a double dose of candy. We had a great night of traditional chili, Toy Story Wii and a movie the Orphan.

Epilepsy Facts

Here are a few facts about epilepsy that you may not know:

* Epilepsy affects over 3 million Americans of all ages – more than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and Parkinson’s disease combined. Almost 500 new cases of epilepsy are diagnosed every day in the United States. Epilepsy affects 50,000,000 people worldwide.

* In two-thirds of patients diagnosed with epilepsy, the cause is unknown.

* Epilepsy can develop at any age and can be a result of genetics, stroke, head injury, and many other factors.

* In over thirty percent of patients, seizures cannot be controlled with treatment. Uncontrolled seizures may lead to brain damage and death. Many more have only partial control of their seizures.

* The severe epilepsy syndromes of childhood can cause developmental delay and brain damage, leading to a lifetime of dependency and continually accruing costs—both medical and societal.

* It is estimated that up to 50,000 deaths occur annually in the U.S. from status epilepticus (prolonged seizures), Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), and other seizure-related causes such as drowning and other accidents.

* The mortality rate among people with epilepsy is two to three times higher than the general population and the risk of sudden death is twenty-four times greater.

* Recurring seizures are also a burden for those living with brain tumors and other disorders such as cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, tuberous sclerosis, and a variety of genetic syndromes.

* There is a strong association between epilepsy and depression: more than one of every three persons with epilepsy will also be affected by depression, and people with a history of depression have a higher risk of developing epilepsy.

* Historically, epilepsy research has been under-funded. Federal dollars spent on research pale in comparison to those spent on other diseases, many of which affect fewer people than epilepsy.

* For many soldiers suffering traumatic brain injury on the battlefield, epilepsy will be a long-term consequence.

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month! Be aware, show you care!!!!! Learn the facts!

Susan - I love corn mazes, they are so much fun. They are always better in the dark. How did your dad enjoy his fishing trip?

How did everyone elses Halloween go?

Fingers crossed we get booked on the Dream today!

OMG, can you say sick to my stomach? We're on. Phew! Jeanne, Joyce, and Bonnie are on, too. Anyone else want to join us?

We aren't even trying to get booked on the Dream.

We had a very nice Halloween. We had a ton of kids, alot of imports from other places though. Jerry's mom came over and we had cake and ice cream after TOT for her birthday. I got a ton of pumpkin seeds from the pumpkins this year. Yummy!

Time to take down Halloween and put up Thanksgiving decorations.

Susan: I hope your dad had a great time!

Barb: Are you back from NH yet? How are you feeling?

We are considering getting a Wii with the Wii Fit Plus. Have any of you used it for exercise/weight loss? How has it gone?

The Phillies are blowing it.

The applesauce turned out YUMMY! We used about 10 pounds of apples. I love home made applesauce. I think the stuff in the jar is gross.

Denine - I used the Wii Fit for awhile and it was fun. Didn't lose much weight but I did lose some. I lost interest in it about a month after I bought the Wii Fit, but we love the Wii! I think I lost interest in the Fit because when I used it Chris was always home and I felt bad that I was taking up the TV and all he was doing was sitting there watching me.

Yay we are on!!!!! I am so excited. Mom, time to relax.....we are on and that's all that matters! No more stressing out. Now it's time to enjoy it and plan!!!!!!!! I can't wait. We haven't cruised with the Dudettes since the 10 day cruise that I think was in 2006!

Sounds like you all will have fun in 2011.

Heidi: We have 2 TV's and it would be hooked up in the basement where the other exercise stuff is.

I am having troubles with FB today.
