Welcome back Barb. I feel so bad for you. I know it was tough and then to get sick on top of it made it worse.

Heidi is SICK, SICK, SICK.

The wind has been horrible the last two days. It makes for a cold day that's for sure. Ready to get out there and clean up the leaves. Amazing wind.

Barb: Sorry to hear about Merv. Hope you are feeling better!

Sorry to hear Heidi is so sick. Hope she feels better soon!

We are going to the pool this morning and then Kaleigh goes to the Neverland Club and we go to Narcoossees for dinner.

I'm going to the pool too. It's gonna be COLD getting out. It is still windy and cold. We have sun but that's not doing the trick. The mtns are getting slammed with wind and snow making for very hazardous driving up there. We are dry but the wind is still causing damage and blowing over semi's.

Hello
checking in quick before I leave for the day.

Denine-Didn't realize you were still in Disney LUCKY!! I am getting excited to go in a few weeks. That would upset me so much about the car too. Even though what he is accusing is not true it still hurts.

Sandy-Are you tired of this wind or what! Burr so glad it is going to warm up some by the end of the week.

Heidi- Hope you get to feeling better.

Well I leave in about 10 minutes going to meet Missy at Ethan soccer practice. Only 2 games left. I sure have enjoyed watching him play. I love having grandbabies :love::love:

Good Morning

Thought I would try and post earlier today so maybe I can check back and post again later.

Brought the halloween goodies in I made to work today. I cut and folded 30 bags out of cardstock then punched out a pumpkin border for the bottom and a cute ghost. I made 30 boxes pretty much the same way for Ethan's class and took card stock and made 250 bags stamped a Kitty in a pumpkin put in a piece of candy in it tied them together with black and orange curling ribbon to hand out on Halloween in Denver. I also made 30 pink paper bags punched out a stoller put a little lace and stuck the stoller on the front of the bags. I made sachet bags out of the lavender from my garden and a candle as baby shower gifts for Michelles baby shower this weekend. I think I will make chocolate covered strawberries and put them on a stem so they look like roses as another treat for the shower.

Tonight is water aerobics, tomorrow lunch with my Mom to plan for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night Boo at the Zoo. Saturday is clean the house and start decorating for Christmas

Well this has been sitting and waiting to be finished. Better post before I lose it

Barb, Boo at the zoo, fun!!!! Denver does it, too, but I haven't heard one thing about it this year. You are the master of crafts!

Well, I raked up 4 crammed bags full of leaves just now. That was just the front yard. The wind these last few days decided to plunk it all at our house. I couldn't wait for it to die down so I could take care of them. As I was raking, I noticed no other house was as bad as ours......and we don't have trees. I think we are just situated perfectly for the wind to whip around the corners collecting everything in it's path.

TOT time on Sunday is showing 51 degrees. Should be a great Halloween.

We have Chef Mickey's in the morning and then we leave for home. We are staying in Columbia, SC tomorrow night.

This has been a nice vacation, but I am ready to be home in my own bed and I miss my fur babies.

We are trying to finish laundry and pack so we just have to pack the car in the morning. We have tonight to sit out on the balcony and watch the boats go by.

I don't know if I will be able to get onto the computer before Sunday.

Hello. What a difference a day or two makes. It is so nice outside. I think the high is suppose to get to 78.

Anyone want to volunteer and help us wash and wax the "Bad Boy" tomorrow? Hate that chore on that huge monster.

Heidi and I will be making Epilepsy Awareness wreaths for November's Epilepsy Awareness Month. I am extremely excited. I think we bought a lot of cool things to make a great wreath.

Wonder how Abby is doing.

I'm excited. Looks like we will be getting a limo for all of us. That includes Jeanne, Joyce, Bonnie, Don, Heidi, Chris, Ted and I. I need help from Julie, Garry or Denine please. You guys were the last to cruise. What time did the terminal open? Is it still 10:00? After 9-11 you couldn't get close to the terminal until a set time. I'm remembering that it was enforced by a gate. Is that still the case? The limo company said it takes about 1 hr and 15 minutes to get there from WDW. Is that about right? I have forgotten it all.

I do expect a nightmare with a HUGE ship plus all the fanfare with a new ship. I think I will tell the company 8:00.

I'm sorry. I know I am no busier than the rest of you.:confused3 I have been working alot to pay for the Disney Dream cruise.:boat:
My Australian boyfriend was here for the month of September so that took up my time. He will be in California this coming January and February inspecting oranges so I will probably SQUEEZE him in after the cruise. He is going to come back during the summer too.
Off to WDW November 16th. Just my granddaughter Zoe and I. It should be really fun. She has been to Disney three times already and she is only four (not as frequently as Kaleigh). This is the first time she is going to the Princess princess: breakfast in the castle. She has her cinderella gown all ready!
Still have the fondest memories of OUR cruise together.:grouphug:
Hope this posting finds everyone healthy and happy.
Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!:maleficen:hmghost:
Miss you all.
Love, Jeanne alias Disney Dudette Two:earsgirl::earsgirl:

:hug:Jeanne, what a great surprise to see you post. Can't wait to get the hug in person. Zoe is a lucky little girl, oops, I mean Princess. Hmmmm, squeeze Peter in after the cruise???:rotfl2:Cute.

Busy, Busy. Busy week.

Abby came home from the hospital Thursday evening. She had lymph node infections and abcesses on her lymph nodes. She is on strong antibiotics and steriods but is really impoving now. A lot of the swelling ahs gone down but they said it may take weeks to completely heal. Thanks for all your prayers for her. I have been next door every day after work to help out how I can. I think they are getting abck to normal now.

I had my appt with the doctor and surgeon and my gall bladder surgery is now scheduled for 11/19. I can't wait to get this over with.

Paul's car is supposed to be ready sometime this coming week. He is so ready to have his car back and get out of this rental.

Finally got to spend some time with my Mom yesterday. She came to Turner's hockey games and we just sat and talked in between games for 3 hours. I miss just hangin out with her.

Off to get started on laundry and go to the market. Turner is spending the night with a friend since they have a day off tomorrow from school. Quiet around here.

Later!
LYMI

Susan, glad Abby is doing better. She had me worried! I sure understand Paul wanting his car back. It's not the same when you don't drive your own car. Great day for you spending it with your mom. I sure miss mine.

Busy day. Finishing up with the truck, laundry, cooking, decorated our parents graves, making reservations for a day room at the Hyatt in the Orlando airport on our return home, and towncar reservations out to WDW before the cruise. We thought that maybe we could just sit today. I'm hoping that Heidi feels good enough to come over today. We want to make our epilepsy awareness wreaths today. Plus, she doesn't get trick or treaters at her house so she likes to come here. Lucky kids that hit our house because they get her treats and ours.

Hi guys!

Sandy, Yes, the terminal does open at 10am. They do not let anyone in until then. You might have to wait outside... which isn't too bad, but it can be chilly there in January. Hey if you can, you NEED to request Rexson as your table server!!!! He was ours and he was fantastic!!! He told us he was going to the Dream Nov. 1 and they will work on there and sail over with her. He said he is excited to go, but will miss the Magic. The Dream and Fantasy WILL NOT go to Key West or the west coast since they are too big and won't fit through the canals. The Dream will only do 3,4, and 5 day cruises while the Fantasy will do the 7 day. The horn on the Dream isn't "When you wish upon a star" it is "A Dream is a wish your heart makes". I think if you youtube it, you can find it. I heard it, like the old one better, but that's ok. Rexson said they wanted all crew aboard the Dream on Nov 1st. To do the finishing touches and furniture. He said they will go through 2 months of training.

Susan, glad to hear that Abby is home! My surgery for my foot is Nov. 10th. My mom will be getting her gall bladder removed soon too! Good luck with yours!

Heidi, how are you feeling? And Oh yeah..... :drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1(that's doesn't come CLOSE!!!! LOL)

Jeanne, glad to see you post! Have fun with Zoe at WDW! I know we did! It's my kids second home! I think they know more about that place then me! LOL!

Hi Barb! Glad to see you are as busy as ever!;)

G Dog had his championship game this morning and they WON!!!!!!! Brooke's cheerleading squad did 2 AWESOME dance routines at half time. They can't wait for next season!!!!

Well, gotta run! Got to go get the kids ready for ToT tonight. It's gonna be a cold one!!!! Suppose to snow on Friday...OK Denine.... let's hear it...(we know you are back cause the weather turned cold! LOL)

TTFN

We are home. We got home late yesterday afternoon. It was a smooth drive. Happy to be home. Reese is very clingy!!!! Hera couldn't really care less.

Trick or treating later.

We unpacked everything, so that chore is done.

Kaleigh has 2 teeth pulled Tuesday.

Sandy: The port opens at 10 AM. We didn't get there until around 10:45. Everything was a bit confusing with all the construction going on. It was around an hour or so to get to the port.

Susan: Glad Abby is doing better. Hope your surgery goes well!

Hopefull the car situation will be worked out early this week. We are not getting the car back. We are going to refund some money and he is keeping the car. We are waiting for a letter stating this is final from his lawyer. They had us a a disadvantage since we were out of town. Jerry doesn't want the car back as he doesn't know what has been done to it and guesses that it has not been stored.

That is all for now.

Julie - :lmao: Glad you had an excellent server. Maybe we will try and request him before we get on the cruise and afterwards. Did you ever find Ernan? How were the bartenders and pool servers this cruise? I am still battling this cold. Pretty much all weekend long, I never got out of my pj's. I think I slept most of the time and I still feel crappy. Congrats to G Dog on the win, that is awesome!! Did you record any of Brooke's routines? I would like to see them if you did. How did ToT go?

Denine - Such a hassle with the car, that stinks. Glad you made it home. Did Kaleigh go ToT last night?

It is chilly today. I am guessing I will have to work on Friday since it may snow.

Heidi: Hope you feel better soon!

Kaleigh did go out Tot last night. She had fun.

Jerry is back at work today and we are here in school.

I will write more about our trip another time.

Hi guys, just a quick hello. Time for H2O aerobics.

Julie, sounds like a great weekend for you. We will have to try for your server!

Denine, welcome home.

We want to get to the port as early as possible since it's the maiden voyage and 4000 people. Thanks everyone.

Heidi, I never found Ernan. The servers around th pools didn't seem as "personal" as in the past. They were walked around and asked people if they needed any drinks... no small chit chat... no real "personal attention" like before. They seemed like they "had" to keep moving. Maybe they were told to keep moving and not bother the passengers. But who knows.

Sandy, I see where you are coming from about the 4000 passengers.... they have added "counters" for check in on the right side of the terminal (where the couches are) in the back by where they use to have the counter where they sold snacks and now where people sign in to get their pagers for the kids clubs. SO I really think they are going to accommodated all the cruisers. They are building a parking garage that should be done by the time you guys sail. Like Denine said, there was lots of construction going on around there and I'm sure it's for the Dream. Did you get a chance to hear the new horn for the Dream?

Our cruise was wonderful. The weather was perfect (just a shower at Grand Cayman) The new villain show was cute, but all the shows needed "polish". I don't know if it was because they just got out of dry dock and maybe they got new crew members for the shows, but there were little "oops" in every show. The one "back drop" was raised and showed the entire back stage area, the one show was stopped for a few minutes because some of the equipment that moves on its own, did and they needed to move pieces by hand.... Just little things.

The ship overall seemed "worn". I would have thought that being in dry dock just before our cruise, that the ship would have looked better. Almost like they are more concerned about the Dream and are letting the other ships go a little. I did notice that at the end of our cruise, the "work" was picking up and the attention to detail was coming back. We noticed masking tape on rails, rust spots all over..., cabin doors didn't close (they said that was due to the replacing the trim around the cabin doors), we had bathroom issues where the toilets wouldn't flush... other people had worse issues with the bathroom, in 1 of our cabins the picture on the wall was off and just "resting" up against it. We reported it, but they NEVER re-hung it, it just sat on the floor by the bed the entire cruise. The mirror on the back wall in the one room was missing (yes the big round port hole looking mirror), little things like that.

BUT all that aside, we really had a nice time. The kids had a blast! All three of they went to dinner with our servers the night we went to Palo's! The servers really wanted them to go, so we asked th kids and they wanted too, so they did! LOL! Who would of thought my kids would go to dinner without us and have a blast. Our servers said they were wonderful! That is why I told you guys to ask for Rexson! He really was SUPER!!!! We told him that we had friends sailing on the maiden voyage. So, even if you don't get him or can't , you will have to stop by and tell him that Garry and Julie Lauter (he will remember the kids too.... he LOVED Brooke) said hi! He and his wife just had a baby, he is from India. It is so weird to let the kids do things like that when I think back to our 2002 cruise!

Well, gotta run!

I'll be back and tell more later!
